Pot smokers (3 Viewers)

I've been smoking more flower than vapes lately, and I discovered something that makes life better when smoking out of a glass bowl - Smojo "permanent" screens. Pretty nifty idea.

Also, Glass screens are a thing, which I never knew. I've been using brass screens forever and they're always a PITA. Gonna try both types and see which I like better.

I've only been using the metal screen for a couple of days and it has yet to clog or get gummed up...well see how long it takes and how easy they are to clean.

Just a heads up for those that like myself are apparently living under a rock and aren't up to date with the latest screen tech.

Check this toy out

Funny how after 30 years of smoking I've come full circle back to using a wooden pipe and handrolled doobs. Tried it all, from vapes to giant bongs, from shatter to wax to live resin and now, firmly back in analog flower.

Similar story here. I bought a dugout a few months ago (Dugout Dynasty) and use it all the time now. It brought back some old memories. I was at an old friend's house in Madison WI a couple weeks ago. He's in his 60's and retired. We went down to his basement for a smoke and he pulled out a 2 foot Gaphics. I definitely hadn't seen one of those since college - probably his and probably the same one ...

I've seen those ceramic jack things before and they look like I'd lose them every time. Regular old screens work for me and they're like 3 cents each.

LOL - we used call those Pinch Hitters back in the 70s!!

love the baseball bat shape

ETA: though I have taken in more than my share of burning debris with those things - especially dangerous when you get down to the end of the baggie and have a lot of dust.

Same. I like my glass pipe once in awhile, but mostly roll joints. Well, roll is not the right word (I was never good at it) - I use the paper cones, which makes it really easy. I have a little a little metal tube I bought on Amazon to hold them - take a hit or two, put it in the tube, it goes right out ready for the next hit.

Since trying the metal one that kinda snaps into the bowl hole, I didnt bother checking out the glass ones because the metal ones are awesome. I've been smoking thru one for about 10 days and haven't had to clean it, it doesnt get clogged and it can't fall out.

This is what it looks like after 10 days of daily smoking vs a new one. It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts before I have to replace it, but I can't see going back to the old school screens.

I never like rolling joints the traditional way either and learned to roll cones when I studied abroad in college. Been doing it ever since but always got funny looks when making the cones and needed some sort of device to stuff the product. Seems to be more mainstream now. Love those RAW containers of cones (and similar products) for their convenience and all the different sizes offered but I normally just do it manually. If you want a cone like Backwood blunt, Slapwoods do that.

Good God, ounces of 29% THC flower are going for $30 today in Oregon. Thirty.
I got some top shelf at 30% off on Saturday. I don't know how the zoning laws work and I'm not sure how all of these dispensaries stay in business. There were four or five dispensaries that I could drive to in less than five minutes from my house. As of last week there is now one ON MY BLOCK!

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will move to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, The Associated Press has learned, a historic shift to generations of American drug policy that could have wide ripple effects across the country.

The DEA’s proposal, which still must be reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget, would recognize the medical uses of cannabis and acknowledge it has less potential for abuse than some of the nation’s most dangerous drugs. However, it would not legalize marijuana outright for recreational use.

Not a fan of this at all. Here comes big pharma. Just de-schedule it….is alcohol schedule 3?
As long as 280E goes away, I don't care about national.

Big pharma may come calling, but I think not till full federal legalization.

By the way @urbanhack , we will have the manufacturing up and running in 8 weeks or so. Halfway thru build out. Rolling out an all-in-one live resin 1g cart, then infused prerolls, then maybe a topical and a drink.

I am dying to do packs of mini-pre rolls, anyone I know who has access to them buys them again. Just so convenient. Fine for one person, perfect for two. Those 1 g infused prerolls, boy you need like 6 people on those things. Stizzy does a line of kief-covered minis, and they are infused with some fruity nonsense, and they are still awesome, even considering I bought them at an illegal shop in NYC, and they must be older than carbon

Congrats!

I am dying to do packs of mini-pre rolls,
These are my favorites. Don't like smoking a big huge joint so these are perfect, especially if kief rolled.
The issue with the kief rolled is they cost more to make.

And that's why the big corporations won't do them, and why a little smart company will.

Bear in mind, the infused preroll thing is early days. I have NO doubt the stoner engineering boys will improve the methods of infused prerolls. Other methods are these syringe (hand or automated) deal, but that's a blob of distillate dropped in a joint. They eff up a LOT.

We'd like to get simply THC crystal, and sprinkle inside.

Just doesn't look as COOL as the kief coated, lol

Will be interesting to see if they differentiate medical from rec product.
If other states are a guide, not much. Speaking strictly about the products. I mean, maybe they heavy CBD stuff isn't available for rec, but they don't want that stuff anyhow. Popular stuff will be available for both.

Assuming supply becomes an issue, as it does it most markets as demand ramps up, the biggest difference is in the customer experience. Some places are required to hold a certain amount for medical, so Gorilla Glue #4 might be sold out for rec, available for medical. Every state is different, it must be stated.

In Jersey, the medical card has become a discount card, pretty much.

And medical doesn't pay taxes
Depending where you live, its worth doing some back of the envelope math on this. I let my med card lapse in MA since I only have one medical dispensary close to me and its super pricey. Last couple years many rec-only shops have popped up. Better price even with the taxes.

Recreational sales finally set to begin in Ohio on August 6th... https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-ne...ate-for-recreational-marijuana-sales-in-ohio/

Initial locations seem few and far between. Luckily I'm close to Monroe that has 3 or 4. Will be interesting to see if they differentiate medical from rec product.
Seems to be more around me than I realized/thought. All the places that were dispensing medical marijuana seem to be also doing the recreational sales. I was out running errands this morning and happened to be near a place and decided I could use a couple things. I got there about 9:40 AM not realizing that the place was only selling medical until 10 AM. I was the third person there waiting. By the time 10 AM came around, the line waiting was 25-30 people deep. I wasn't expecting that.

That reminds me my edible stash is running low. Got a mailer for like 30% off at some new place, might have to give it a shot. Although most places seem to have sales for like 10x20mg packs for like $5 anyway so might not even be worth it

Need a little help since the first dispensaries are now open (OH).

Wife had a very rough delivery with our first and has permanent nerve damage. She needs to be drunk or on something if we are to 'enjoy' the evening. Tried a few CBD items that she didn't like/work. She's recently tried some Delta 9 gummies which while effective in one regard (and WAY better than booze), they make her feel ill and very sleepy.

Did some preliminary research and it appear there are some out there that have an energy effect instead of sleeping effect so hope is not lost. What I don't know is any of the conversion factors. Say a 10 mg delta 9 gummy, is that equal to 10 mg CBD, or a 10mg THC? If no, what's a rough rule of thumb? What about time to take affect and length of affect?

TIA
