Potential Trade Guys (1 Viewer)

Been kicking around a list of potential guys to have on the radar.

I'm NOT saying any of these guys will be traded. Just saying they might be guys on the radar for teams.

Randy Moss

Jerry Porter

Chris Brown

Who else do you see that might make an impact this year IF they were to change teams today?

Nick Barnett - recently sold his nightclub in GB and does not plan to come back after next season. Unlikely though.

TJ Duckett - I just think there is a market out there for the guy and he doesnt seem to fit the REdskins at all.

Mike Williams - I think this guy makes an impact once he gets an opportunity.

Certainly Jerry Porter. If he were to move on to another team, he'd provide an instant boost to that team's receiving corps.

I remember seeing something on ESPN giving the reasons why Chris Brown won't be traded this season. Didn't understand all the details, but basically they said that if some team made Brown an offer at the end of the season, they would have to compensate the Titans with a higher pick than they are likely to get if they traded him now.

a few teams need CB help but I can't think of any that seem to be available
to follow this up, 90 year old Troy Vincent was signed by the Skins so...kinda puts the need +lack of available CBs in perspective

Is that a type-o, or did you mean to list the Steelers LB, Joey Porter?

Sorry. Typo :bag: Jerry of course.

More possibly L. Betts and they keep Duckett. Betts being traded wouldn't surprise me at all.

How long is Betts under contract? Since Betts has been playing over Duckett and Duckett can walk at the end of the year, I don't think Betts would be more likely to be traded.

Betts contract is done after this year. The knock on him is that everytime he has opportunity, he's bothered by lingering injuries. He's running well this year and they can surely get more for Betts at this point than Duckett, who is more of the type of RB that Gibbs prefers.

Got it.Well, be that as it may, like with Chris Brown, I think there just isn't the market for mid-level RB talent. Brown is obviously above Betts, but you're still talking about a injury prone guy who got pushed out of TEN depth chart and is walking at the end of the year.

I'll agree with you on that 100%, seems foolish that Edge and ShaunA can't fetch a 2nd rounder in the offseason, but Duckett nets a 3rd. The price can only go down as the season goes on, unless a in the hunt has a major need for one. Seattle is the only team that really fits that, but they should get their man back in 2 weeks.

This needs to be stopped right here.
"This is not an indication that I want out of here," Barnett said. "This is my fourth (year), going into my fifth (year). After that, I'm a free agent, but I don't want to get out of here. Hopefully, we can get something done before that even gets there."

I dont think he will be singing the same tune when the Pack moves him to strong side and plugs 2nd rounder Abdul Hodge into the middle. Hodge was born to stop the run in my opinion. (NOTE:Speculation)
