Pre 1 (MON) OAK @ MIN (1 Viewer)

Richardson in at the stripe, bad news for Chesta?
Well Taylor was blocking for him on that play. Not ideal if you are a Taylor owner, but the fact that he was in on both the 3rd and 1 short yardage package (where he got the first) and the goalline package (where the team scored a td) could mean good things for his opportunites during the regular season.

Pretty good pick up there by Jordan...took out one guy on the rush and slowed another.

Not really what I want my FF RB doing though...

Tell me again why Aaron Brooks is a better QB than Kerry Collins was. Don't get me wrong Kerry sucked at times as well but he looks terrible in these two games.

Well, the line definitely isn't helping out......

The Raiders O-line looks very weak thus far. Not creating holes and not protecting very well.
This doesn't bode well for Jordan's involvement in the passing game. He's been a total non-factor there so far in the pre-season but if the line continues to struggle he'll be needed to stay in and pass protect.

Observations/questions:

1. Who is the better QB: Aaron Brooks or me?

2. Lamont going to catch more than 30 passes this year?

3. Vikings D underrated.

4. Raiders are the worst team in football. They wont' have the worst record, but they are the worst organization IMO. (And I am a Lions fan)

missed the first drive.... just started watching now.

Chester Taylor running like an old Charlie Garner.

Not moving forward, stops running, braces for impact, doesn't break tackles...

Call me a hater, or watch the game yourself.... he looks bad.

Vikings LB Greenway suffers knee injury

8/14/2006

Vikings radio network reports that LB Chad Greenway has suffered a knee injury and his being attended to by the Vikings team physician on the sideline.

And the O-line finally opened up some running room for Jordan there ... still anxious to see if they can get something going and get him involved in the passing game ...

the Eagles and westbrook ran the ball with ease last week on this same Raiders D, looks like the Vikings running game still got some work to do

they need to take Jordan out on some passing plays so he doesn't have to throw himself at pass rushing LBs to protect the uselss Aaron Brooks

Jordan blocking extremely well. This guy won't come out on 3rd downs unless extemely tired. Not only has he shown to be an effective receiving RB, but his blocking is very good.

Yep - he looks very good as a blocker. Of course, I am still going to cut my projection on him in the passing game big time.

That 3rd & Long almost had the look of a setup to dump-off to Jordan (he had turned and looked to be waiting on Brooks)....

Too bad Brooks was sacked before he could make a throw downfield. Hmmmmmmm ....

How's Chester looking? Is it as bad as his 8/16 statline suggests or is it the O line?
yeah, it's the line and FB who have 4 pro bowlers out of 6.
Taylor has been hit at or behind the LOS on almost every carry. He has shown some nice elusiveness on a few plays, turning nothing into something. He had a great spin move to break a tackle (again behind the line) and get a few yards. The line is not playing like a pro bowl line right now.

so Jordan had no targets last week?
He's 0-for-the-preseason so far.And I never thought I'd long for ESPN's Sunday Night crew but these guys are excruciatingly bad. Kornheiser is brutal.
 why do people continously cry about the anouncers. These guys are doing fine. Sure Joe T is a little anoying but he has actually made some good points tonight.
I wasn't crying; I was merely stating an opinion that these announcers are terrible. If you like them, that's great. I'm not impressed. Back on topic, while it is only preseason I agree with The Ref that Jordan's receiving projections will likely be reduced by quite a few folks going forward.

Holy crap !! I'm really considering sending Moss and some candy in a dynasty league to move up for Bush.

This is two weeks in a row that the Raiders have looked like ###.

Fason in at RB on that series ... I haven't seen him play much, but he seemed to go down pretty easily on that arm-tackle on 3rd down. Maybe I'm just a hopeful Mewelde owner though :loco:

oakland should consider playing the oline for the majority of the game they obviously need the reps to work on timing
