Miami offense is absolute chix #### right now. Big turnover, 1st down, Miller for about a yard, 2nd down and it's a sack, 3rd down is a dump off to Miller for a loss, I already knew that because Mike Wallace was lined up wide well well before the huddle broke so I knew he was no part of whatever was called on 3rd and long, I'm sure Houston knew as well.
Do not overpay for any of these guys. Miami is a bottom 5 offense IMO right now.
I never saw what people like about Tannehill. Losing Long was really rough too.
he was lauded by waldman and/or bloom for his pocket awareness/presence maturity...
very athletic, WR until just few years ago, presumed upside with greater positional experience...
he can run, good arm, looked like his accuracy wasn't going to be problematic...
there was hope his development and transition to NFL would be smoother than typical, as he got to run same offense i think, terminology and scheme-wise...
i agree losing long could be a setback others (including MIA) have insufficiently accounted for in their 2013 projection... dolphins may regret not using 2nd to get albert from KC, if that offer was on table... they could have had third LT, and most athletic, that went to PHI, but i do think jordan is special, has a chance to be one of best pass rushers in league in few years, so i can appreciate trying to get a brady-neutralization weapon...
and it doesn't mean they can't develop chemistry over more time, but the almost universal reports about tannehill and wallace failing to connect, at least in the early going, are troubling...
wallace best known for deep ball, and while maybe not unique set of circumstances, his skill set dovetailed well with big ben's ability to keep plays alive... tannehill can run, but not as strong as big ben, if he has different strengths, wallace may not be as good a fit as he was in PIT...
it doesn't mean he can't contribute, but wallace was some missed games last year from pacing for around top 10 WR three years in a row...
