Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em (1 Viewer)

I saw it and ordered one that night.  I wasn't going to, but my wife said to do it because she knows how much I hate uncomfortable shirts.

So comfortable.
Not a fan of dress shirts that don't have a specific collar/sleeve length, so I looked at their sizing chart, but they also say this:

"Our shirts run a bit smaller than some big brands. If you are on the broader [sic] or between sizes, please order one size up.  Use the sizing chart as a guide, and please contact us with any questions."

So do I go to the sizing chart and then order one size up?

The talk is dress shirts. I've got nothing for you guys. I ordered Ben Sherman skinny fit shirts because my neck is so large. Not kidding. I'm not skinny. Everything else just blouses out on me.

Anyway, what I came to talk about is that I'm currently running an Audioquest Dragonfly and Jitterbug on my computer. Can't recommend the improved sound quality in my headphones enough. It's staggering actually, what a USB silencer and USB DAC/headphone amp can do. And the thing is -- they're pretty cheap. About $160 combined, when I bought them. So if you listen to computer music, consider it.

I'm pretty broad shouldered, and in a traditional dress shirt I wear a 16 1/2 35.  I ordered a large and it fits like it was tailored for me.

Huh.   I wear a 17  34/35, so it says get the XL.  I'm afraid the sleeves will end up being too long if the large fits like that.you and you wear a 35.  May buy one and return it if it doesn't fit.

The collar isn’t exactly tight as a drum.  You may be good with the large. I prefer my collars a little looser.

I may wait until you clean yours.  There seems to be a lot more discussion of these shirts shrinking than I normally see on a website selling shirts.

Based on the travel liquids complaints above, I'll recommend TSA pre-check.  It's not really a product, but if you do much traveling, it's worth it.  The line isn't that big of a deal, it's not having to mess with your shoes and toiletries that's great.

I was already getting a TWIC card to work at a dock, and the steps to get them overlapped, so it was just a matter of paying a fee.

Spend the extra $20 and get Global Entry.  Worth it.

best $60 I ever spent.  no lie

OK all, I need to update the sound for our televisions.  For our family room and bedroom, I'm just looking for a basic economical soundbar.  For the basement, looking for an economical surround system.  My basement is unfinished so I can run wires wherever.

TIA will answer yours.

Looking for very warm winter gloves.  I have Raynaud's so really need warmth and protection when shoveling/snowblowing.  Any recommendations?

A few months ago fter researching quite a bit I chose this one which was highly rated, especially for the price.

VIZIO 32" 5.1 Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer - SB3251n-E0B

Thanks.  I was looking at a few Vizios in the $80-$120 range today on Amazon but have no idea how to pick one.

I can tell you how not to pick one.  Don't go into Best Buy and grab one of the ones that have been returned for a great price.  I don't know if Amazon does this but it came back to bite me.

The soundbar would go out intermittently but there was no way of proving it to them and their diagnostics kept showing it was fine.  They said I had to go to the manufacturer, which was a nightmare.  So yeah, refurbished or returned soundbars are no bueno.

TSA pre-check is an absolute must.

For the price, it's great.   I have a lot of hardwood floors and a huge pine tree out in front of my house, so pine needles are always getting tracked in.   I have this thing programmed to run once a day and it does a good job of keeping the floors clean so the pine needles don't get tracked through the rest of the house.   Only real downside is that it doesn't learn and you can't program the pattern.  If you want to keep it out of a certain area you use magnetic tape, which doesn't look very attractive.

Works with Alexa, phone app and/or remote.

I have to do a lot of presentations where I'm bringing my own projector.   I have a pretty good mini one that I also use for outdoor movie nights in the summer, but I dropped it and now the fan doesn't work quite right.

I got this Nebula Capsule, and it is a cool gadget.  Projects a picture up to 110" diagonal, has a 360 degree speaker, and has Android 7.1 so it can stream netflix, hulu, amazon video or whatever.  Can also use it with a USB or HDMI.   Really easy to set up and great picture.   You can also just use it as a bluetooth speaker.

Probably been mentioned but the TCL Roku 5 & 6 series TVs are a great option for cord cutters who don't want to break the bank.  Got the 65" 6 series for $900 and couldn't be happier.

Probably been mentioned before (maybe even by me) but anyone with a military ID (including retiree) can use the ID number as a KTN to get pre-check for free.

I’m starting to travel a bit more for work, and looking to move from my current shoulder bag to a backpack, that can fit laptop, tablet, some relevant files, book, chargers, and whatever other oddities that I may throw in there, and looks professional.  I will probably use it as my daily work bag.

I was looking at the Timbuk2 The Authority bag. Any thoughts on that, or any other suggestions?  It seems a bit pricier than some other options, but the reviews are pretty solid on it, and it seems to have a bit more of a professional look for work.

I have a Timuk2 messenger bag, and it’s great, however I switched to an Ogio and the timbuk2 has sat on the shelf ever since.

@Henry Ford My wife got me a Buttercloth shirt for Christmas.  It fits nicely and seems comfortable.  Have you laundered yours yet or only dry cleaned?  Curious how important it is to not throw this in the wash.  Also, I feel like this is a length designed to not be tucked in.  Your thoughts?

I've washed it 2-3 times.  No problems at all, and I even forgot to pull it out damp and hang it once - it really sprang back to smooth, "no need to iron" shape easily.  Your results may vary, but I have that really vibrant blue one, and it still looks like the day I got it.

Length-wise, I have really long legs and a short torso.  I definitely see where you're coming from, but it's fine to tuck in for me.
