Projections for teams playing for nothing (1 Viewer)

This time of year we find a lot of teams that are out of it and playing for nothing. Sometimes the teams are playing against each other. How do you factor this into your weekly projections, or do you not? I think it makes a difference if a team is playing "deflated" or "angry" too.

Thoughts?

You have to recognize the teams that are playing inspired like their job is on the line and the teams that have mailed it in for the season. Best example today is Dallas vs Washington. Dallas has been playing much better under Garrett. they look like the time they should have been all year. Their defense is still not as good as advertised but their offense has shown its potential even with Kitna in there. Washington on the other hand looks like a team that has packed it in. They can't wait for the offseason. So relying on any of them for your playoffs is a risky bet.

:goodposting: The vikings could deflate like their dome and easily mail it in tomorrow night in freezing weather.

Exactly. The Vikings look like they mailed it in last week. PAckers fans should be worried. With Rodgers out against the best team in football and Chicago being basically handed the division tomorrow, their playoff hopes are in jeopardy.

Here's my opinion on who's playing tough and who's setting their tee times.

Spoilers

Dallas

Detroit

Buffalo

Cleveland

Houston

Dead in the Water

Washington

Minnesota

Carolina

Cincinnati

Tennessee

Denver

In between or technically still alive

NFC West

Miami

Oakland

The in-betweeners are dangerous cause they still technically have something to play for. They could go in the tank after this week.

I don't disagree with any of those calls...After the coach got canned, Denver hit the skids fast...

looking at the list though makes me worrisome about starting any Titans despite Houston's bad D. On the flip side, Houston's loss on Monday had to take some of the fight out of them.

This is the time of year when Houston plays to save Kubiaks job, it has become an annual event.
