Trading this chump for someone with recently improved offensive talent like Cousins or Jimmy G. Rodgers won't throw to open receivers and he has been a catastrophic disaster as a leader this year so far.

He is? I have never heard that before. He is tied for #28 in GWDs and #34 in comebacks. That has to be placed into context, i.e., how many opportunities did he have for each to enable calculating his success percentage... then do the same for the others in, say, the top 40 and see where he measures up. I don't know the answer, just a bit surprised to see this posted.

You just said it. For a QB of his pedigree, to have played this long, and only be 28th in GWDs and #34 in comebacks is poor. I have seen it too many times. The minute the game goes sideways, Rodgers tucks tail and runs the other way rather than rallying his team. Not every time, but far too often.

Actually, what I said was that we would need percentages, not raw numbers. Green Bay has been pretty good in Rodgers' career. He is 153-82-1 as a starter, including postseason. He has 28 game winning drives, which means, worst case, he led 28 GWD in 111 opportunities (25.2%). How does 25% compare to other elite all-time QBs? (I don't know the answer.)

I agree with you, but it seems like Rodgers is the only highly paid QB that gets this much hate for his salary. There are a lot of mediocre QB's making pretty massive salaries too, and some other QB's making almost as much. Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson are all within a few million. QB's like Carr, Dak, and Cousins are only making about 10 million less. The team has done a terrible job getting any receivers other than Adams for as long as I can remember.

I dont think its just the money though. Had he made his decision about coming back and coming back for more than one year sooner Adams would still be there. He more than likely saw that he'd have a new inexperienced QB or Rodgers for one more year at most and decided to move on. The indecisiveness and uncertainty at the QB position more than likely factored into other FA WR's decisions as well. Rodgers held GB hostage for too long this past off season and now they are paying the price. Rodgers needed to make his decision sooner and the Packers should have forced his hand. But they were dealing with a QB coming off back to back MVP seasons so I can see giving him the time needed.
