He said he made some absolutely ****ty throws today.Did he own anything? Or put the blame on this receivers again?Aaron Rodgers: “Can’t lose a game like that against that team.”
Says this one will “hurt for a while.”
Doesn't care anymore? Did you watch the game? I don't know how many times they showed him screaming in frustration. And this time I don't think it was directed at anyone in particular. He was extremely frustrated with the missed throws and the way the game was going in general. He looks like he doesn't care anymore. He wants everyone else to do the extra work and take all the blame when things don't go well. I honestly think he'll retire after the season, as he is not the guy to tough it out when things get rough, which is why he is historically bad when it comes to 4th quarter comebacks. An all-time great for sure, but his lack of toughness when the going gets tough is why his name will never be in the same sentence with guys like Brady, Montana and Manning.
Please tell me this is sarcasm? If not, it is a horrible take. When he signed that huge contract, he earned it. He was coming off back-to-back MVP seasons. There was nothingto indicate he was slipping. Hard to believe he has fallen off the cliff that fast. Still makes me wonder if the thumb is a bigger issue than being reported. His goal was to burn the whole thing down. He wants to exact vengeance on the franchise, and his way of doing it was to sign a huge extension that cripples the team's cap. He'll either retire this offseason or just go on being mediocre due to lack of weapons and lack of Rodgers caring. Mission accomplished. He looks like he doesn't care anymore. He wants everyone else to do the extra work and take all the blame when things don't go well. Seriously think about it. His evil diabolical plan to exact revenge on the franchise is to sign a large contract and then go out and play mediocre football this year and maybe future years? At the same time tarnishing his career won/loss record and his career stats. Thats pretty much what Rodgers said today. I agree in the past he's thrown anybody and everybody under the bus. But thats not what he did todayHey Aaron - this is what real leaders do vs throwing their own players under the bus..
After the Bills were upset by the Jets on Sunday, star quarterback Josh Allen didn’t point any fingers at anyone besides himself.
“It’s tough to win in this league when you’re playing a good team and your quarterback plays like s---,” Allen said after the game. “ made some bad decisions tonight, really cost us our team. Lot to learn from, lot to grow from, but that’s not the standard we hold ourselves to. That’s not the ball that we play

I agree. I gotta think that thumb injury is worse than letting on. A guy just doesn't drop off that bad that quickly. Its not just today. Never seen him be so off. Ball placement bad (so often low on the quick hitters) and his deep ball just not on target.

I think he still cares and the desire to win and compete is still strong. After watching yesterdays game and a few others I think it may be more physical. A lot of his throws are short, off target, asking receivers who aren't Davonte Adams to make tough catches, once a while one does, but no consistency.

I’d agree with this, when watching yesterday to me it looks like he’s having to put more of his body into making throws that used to be effortless and smooth, because he’s physically degraded. The result is his mechanics look wonky, the accuracy is down etc etc. it’s like golf, you are far more likely to hit long and straight with a relaxed and technical swing, than if you put every ounce into it and try and murder the ball
When he puts up 9 vs. "that team" (his words), you know he really sucks.Rogers was terrible yesterday. Maybe the worst game of his career. They put 9 on the 32nd ranked defense. Stick a fork in the Packers and Rogers. It is over.
he is historically bad when it comes to 4th quarter comebacks
Packers can't do anything but pay him. He has them completely held hostage against the cap. Gutie needs to be fired. His goal was to burn the whole thing down. Rodgers failed and caught red handed. Just wasn't prepared for that massive blue wave the lions hit him with. Its not just today. Never seen him be so off. Ball placement bad (so often low on the quick hitters) and his deep ball just not on target.

You're gonna need to add a bit to get anyone to even consider swapping for him. Unless you get someone to bite on the name value alone.Trading this chump for someone with recently improved offensive talent like Cousins or Jimmy G. Rodgers won't throw to open receivers and he has been a catastrophic disaster as a leader this year so far.
You just said it. For a QB of his pedigree, to have played this long, and only be 28th in GWDs and #34 in comebacks is poor. I have seen it too many times. The minute the game goes sideways, Rodgers tucks tail and runs the other way rather than rallying his team. Not every time, but far too often.he is historically bad when it comes to 4th quarter comebacks
He is? I have never heard that before. He is tied for #28 in GWDs and #34 in comebacks. That has to be placed into context, i.e., how many opportunities did he have for each to enable calculating his success percentage... then do the same for the others in, say, the top 40 and see where he measures up. I don't know the answer, just a bit surprised to see this posted.

He'd have better receivers to throw to if he hadn't asked for all the team's cap space for himself. Can't whine about your lack of WR talent when you're the reason behind it. Well, most people can't. I guess it's natural for Rodgers.
10 Million's a lot of money for signing other players.QB's like Carr, Dak, and Cousins are only making about 10 million less.
They cost money. The team has done a terrible job getting any receivers other than Adams for as long as I can remember.
I dont think its just the money though. Had he made his decision about coming back and coming back for more than one year sooner Adams would still be there. He more than likely saw that he'd have a new inexperienced QB or Rodgers for one more year at most and decided to move on. The indecisiveness and uncertainty at the QB position more than likely factored into other FA WR's decisions as well. Rodgers held GB hostage for too long this past off season and now they are paying the price. Rodgers needed to make his decision sooner and the Packers should have forced his hand. But they were dealing with a QB coming off back to back MVP seasons so I can see giving him the time needed. He'd have better receivers to throw to if he hadn't asked for all the team's cap space for himself.
