CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports the Seahawks "still have a high-level of interest in acquiring QB Baker Mayfield."
She added, "behind-the-scenes are open to contractually extending him." After being cast aside by the Browns, joining Seattle with a contract extension in hand would be a massive turnaround for the disgruntled quarterback. Anderson has also recently reported that the Panthers are still doing their due diligence on Mayfield. Both Seattle and Carolina just got their first looks at their quarterback rooms. It seems likely that neither team's staff was overly impressed. At this point, the negotiations are down to how much of Mayfield's $18.7 million cap hit the Browns are willing to eat.
