QB Caleb Williams, CHI (8 Viewers)

Yes, you can't count on these types of games against tougher defenses, but seems safe to say he's arrived - as has the bulk of the offense under Ben Johnson's tutelage.

I don’t think the average fan knows how incredible the throws Caleb Williams is making breaking the pocket. He routinely makes some of the craziest throws and it’s actually surprising that he hasn’t connected on more of those. They will come. #DaBears
I agreed with this. He does it multiple times a game. The problem is he misses A LOT of easy passes. Heck, just in the 4th quarter, he missed a wide open Odunze twice, Zaccheaus once and Kmet (? Might have been Loveland) once. He also failed to read a blitz that should have been an easy dump off to Swift that probably would have been a 20 yard play.

It takes some guys time to learn it. I am not worried about it yet, but if he is still missing these throws t h is time next season then I would be worried.

The blitz one is forgivable, especially for a young QB. The other ones though...man they were wide open and Caleb had a relatively clean pocket on all but the TE target. He missed the 'easy' ones a lot last year too. I'm talking throws up the middle at 10-15 yards right in front of him. That's very concerning.

Young qbs miss easy throws, all of them. I will worry next season.

The dude is clutch as hell. It is almost like clockwork. If the Bears are down by one or two scores in the fourth quarter, the lights come on and Caleb becomes a highly effective and efficient QB using his arm and legs. The question is how to get him to extend that level of performance to the other three quarters of the game.

There were at least 3 or 4 bad drops by WRs and the RBs yesterday in just the first half. Two dump offs to RBs, whiffed and at least one shot to the end zone that should have been caught for a TD.

He had a solid rookie season and has improved by almost every metric in year 2.

On pace for 4,000+ yards with 24.5 pass TDs plus an additional 464 yards rushing and 5.6 rush TDs.

Yet, dude can't catch a cold around here.

Tough crowd.

This would be the Bears first 4,000 yard passing season in franchise history, going back to September 20, 1919 when the Bears were founded, eclipsing Erik Kramer's current franchise high of 3,838 yards in 1995.
