he doesn’t need to get to 100%, he just needs to be able to play.
no one is ever 100%, except maybe in the offseason.
Not every injury is the same. Rotator cuff injury in the throwing shoulder is pretty serious. I don't blame him for being cautious if that is what his docs are advising.
I'd be curious to hear what the baseball pitchers do with this injury.
Bruise vs. tear is also a good situation to be in, but overuse can lead to the tear too if he isn't careful.
Tears are generally 3 degrees and we're talking cm differentiate in doing so as well. It's arthroscopic if it gets there, you're in PT 6ish weeks after surgery, but the recovery is largely teaching the rubber band to stretch back to "normal" again, which just takes time.
It also would depend which head or direction is the problematic one as to which part of his motion is injured or affected by the injury. I hurt mine like if we were flying beings I'd have a much tougher recovery to make, but lifting something in front of me or carrying a cooking pan from stove to counter wasn't problematic at all pre or post op.
