He is moving all over the board in drafts, both SF and 1QB. My guess is his ADP is going to slowly rise.Went 1.03 in a SF 12 teamer rookie draft this morning.
I was a little surprised by that.

First day of OTAs today. Order of QBs: Brissett (threw 14 of the total 30 passing attempts)), Zappe (5), Maye (7), then Milton (4).
Is this IDP? All the ADP I am seeing is mid to lat3e 2ndI took Drake in my 1QB salary cap contract league at 3.5, which I felt was ridiculous. I selected him because he was, in my opinion, the best player on the board. I did not need a quarterback with Jalen Hurts under contract for at least two more years, depending on the circumstances of his contract in the league. I also have Jordan Love for a minimum of a season with contract options for longer, but it will be tricky to keep him, depending on what the price is going to be to keep him. My point is that I'm golden for at least two years, maybe longer. Michael Penix went before Drake in this league. Penix went 3.2.
The format does not affect this league's draft, but selecting a player in the third does give you the option of keeping the player under the league minimum for up to four years. The draft started on Monday after the NFL draft, and since then, I have seen Maye climb in drafts, especially after rookie camp. I suppose this could be the reason, but nothing has changed. I just finished in a 1QB dynasty league, and he went 2.7, which seemed about right to me. I would think in SF he would go much sooner.
He will be on my Taxi Squad for the time being, but I have built in a lot of time by selecting him and can afford to be very patient with him, which I think will be needed. He might be one of those players you try to trade for later instead of drafting him. I believe many drafters of Maye will get tired of the wait. I'm in on him for the long haul, though, at this point, and I will not be one of those managers you can approach in year two, hoping to acquire him before he breaks out, but that might be the right play.

You’re not gonna want to hear that I grabbed him at 5.3 in my 12 team, 1QB, non-IDP, FFPC draftIs this IDP? The draft I was in only had a 3-round rookie draft and a veteran draft later. It is a contract salary cap contract league. I'm not sure how FFPC affects it, but his ADP is much higher overall than 5.3. From what I read today, Maye has fallen behind JJ in ADP. I think Maye is still going QB3 or QB4 in most rookie drafts. You’re not gonna want to hear that I grabbed him at 5.3 in my 12 team, 1QB, non-IDP, FFPC draftIs this IDP? Similar to your comment on me getting McCarthy in the 5th, I think I more speaks to the general expression of QB value overall in FFPC 1QB leagues. It’s definitely a trend I’ve seen over the years I’ve been playing there.
FFPC is a combo rookie/free agent draft, so that nudges rookies down a hair after the 2nd round or so.The draft I was in only had a 3-round rookie draft and a veteran draft later. Long ways to go but starting to make some progress according to Giardi. The game is starting to slow down for Drake Maye. At least, the game he plays every day in practice (a regular season game will be a lot different). You can see him work through his progressions a little quicker, but not too quickly, and make better decisions with the football. It's not perfect - Maye didn't see JuJu Smith-Schuster on a red zone rep and was picked off in a got-to-have-it situation late in Tuesday's session, throwing high to Javon Baker (more on him and that rep later) - but there's been improvement. He's still at his best during 7-on-7 - pretty sure the league hasn't adopted those rules yet - but some of his rougher team periods of late have been an offensive line problem first and foremost, and Maye's not at the point in his development where he can mask that unit's deficiencies.
Today’s article in BSJ highlights an actual sense of progress with Maye. It's behind a paywall but I think it's OK to quote a little bit.

God help us all if it looks like a complete trainwreck. Will have to turn off my computer/TV/Radio for a week.
As an aside, anyone see M. Reiss rip into Felger on the Aiyuk reporting? Love it Reiss...didn't think you had it in you.

After playing just one series last week, Patriots QB Drake Maye is set to see a lot more action tonight. The plan, I’m told, is to have Jacoby Brissett play the first quarter, Maye play the second quarter and into the third, Joe Milton to go in in the third and play into the fourth, and Bailey Zappe to finish.
He looked awesome last night. His throwing motion is not great.
For the first time, Maye took snaps with the starting offense today. At least technically. He took 4 snaps with the designated starters and handed the ball off each time. No passing attempts. But we can't say he hasn't practiced with the starters anymore (even if these plays were pretty insignificant).

Drake Maye 5-for-6 for 71 yards and this pass TD to get the #Patriots on the board on a drive that also included a 17-yard scramble for a first down on third-and-14.
Mark Daniels
This offensive line is a nightmare.
That drive saw three holding penalties - two on third down (Sow and Onwenu).
Goodness.

Patriots offensive line tonight:
1 sack allowed, two bad snaps, a false start, two holding penalties, three illegal formation penalties and an offensive lineman dislodging a quarterback’s shoe.
Ben Brown
This touchdown was negated by (ANOTHER) penalty on Okorafor, but what. a. throw by Drake Maye
Mark Reiss
Second straight week Drake Maye has calmly, and masterfully handled, early adversity on first drive.
Last week it was 2nd-and-11 after a false start. This week, it was 2nd-and-18/3rd-and-14 after poor snap.
Both times, he digs out of it and leads offense to points.
Impressive.
