QB Joe Burrow, CIN (1 Viewer)

Joe Burrow completed 14-of-18 passes for 172 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in the Bengals' 24-10, Week 3 win over the Steelers.

The interception was Burrow's fourth of the season but he managed to stay away from pressure, taking zero sacks for just the third time in his career. Sans T.J. Watt, the Pittsburgh front was unable to harass Burrow, who opened the year with 10 sacks in his first two games. The concern for Burrow remains Cincinnati's run-first approach. Burrow has five fewer pass attempts than his team has rush attempts. He hasn't thrown more than 30 times in a game yet. If this continues, Burrow will struggle to be a difference-maker for fantasy purposes. An easy opponent in Jacksonville next week should keep him in the QB1 conversation, even on low volume.

Joe Burrow completed 25-of-32 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' 24-21, Week 4 win over the Jaguars.

The Bengals took their first lead as time expired in the fourth quarter, with Evan McPherson kicking the game-winning field goal after Burrow found TE C.J. Uzomah for yet another big play. With Tee Higgins (shoulder) on the shelf for his second and apparently final game, Burrow predictably peppered Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase with targets. Boyd did work after the catch with Chase making tough grabs in traffic. Uzomah was the X factor, however, getting free over the middle of the field and rolling toward the end zone like a bowling ball en route to 5/95/2. Burrow set season highs across the board this evening, with the 300-yard effort being his first of 2021. He averaged an eye-popping 10.9 yards on his 32 attempts, thanks in part to his pass catchers' YAC work. Burrow has been passing the eye test even as the Bengals work to limit his volume coming off his ACL tear. He's going to have to air it out in next week's home showdown with the Packers.

Joe Burrow completed 26-of-38 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns, and two picks in Cincinnati's

Burrow was fearless in the team's gutsy loss, recording a season-high in rushing yards (11) and constantly putting himself in harm's way by stepping into oncoming pass rushers to deliver strikes and diving for first downs in order to move the chains. He even visited the blue medical tent at one point following a massive hit but was available for Cincinnati's ensuing possession. His two interceptions ultimately sunk the Bengals as both throws — a forced downfield shot to open the second half and blind turnover over the middle of the field to begin overtime — were egregious decisions. It was still encouragingly the second time in as many games Burrow reached 30-plus attempts, recording 38 passes to 21 backfield carries (64.4% pass rate) in Sunday's loss. Week 5 against Detroit offers another soft matchup Burrow should be able to exploit as a high-end QB2.

Joe Burrow completed 23-of-38 attempts for 416 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in the Bengals' Week 7 win against the Ravens.

Burrow found wide open receivers throughout the game and evaded pressure time and again to extend plays and give his play-making receivers a chance to get downfield. His downfield chemistry with Ja'Marr Chase only gets better with every passing week, as Ravens defenders discovered on Sunday. Burrow overcame a hostile Baltimore crowd and operated the team's offense without a hiccup while using a silent count (until Ravens fans were quieted to a hush in the fourth quarter). After bringing along Burrow slowly in the season's first month, head coach Zac Taylor appears to have removed the restricter plate for Burrow and the Bengals offense. Burrow will be a top fantasy play next week against the Jets.

Second half Joe Burrow fantasy stats. Top 10-12 seems like as far as he could climb? Lacks rushing yards to be in the next tier. However, he does have starter value and bye week play / injury insurance and border line QB 1. Having Hurts in this league makes me a little nervous. Snagging Burrow now before waivers next week when he'll be back in demand is my way to go. Just put Harris on IR and this opened up a bench space. Pretty solid everywhere else. Could always handcuff as well. Hines on FA and I have Taylor. Still looking at Burrow to add.

Joe Burrow (finger) got in a limited practice on Wednesday.

Entering Wednesday's practice Burrow had not thrown since Sunday, so a limited practice is good news for his availability on Sunday. Burrow also downplayed the injury and reiterated that he plans to play on Sunday. Burrow is in an interesting spot against the 49ers in Week 14. If he's healthy, he could find success in a good matchup. Burrow's pinky was clearly giving him trouble against the Chargers, however, so fantasy managers should remain cautious if he's unable to practice in full this week. Burrow looks like a high-end QB2.

ESPN's Ben Baby reports Joe Burrow (finger) is "throwing normally" at Friday's practice.

Burrow, going gloveless at practice, doesn't seem effected by the horrific pinky injury he suffered last week against the Chargers. Burrow as seem on the sideline in tremendous pain after the pinky on his right hand was bent in gruesome direction. All reports indicate his injury won't be a factor in Week 14 against the 49ers. Burrow's Week 14 upside could be capped in a matchup of two of the league's slowest-paced offenses.

I think I'm coming around to Burrow as NFL MVP.

Fun fact, yesterday the Bengals became the 1st team in NFL history with a 4,000 yard passer, a 1,000 yard rusher and 2 1,000 yard receivers all under 26 in the same season.

Just went absolutely HAM yesterday. Very happy I traded for Higgins in dynasty. Dude is just a baller, & Burrow is only going to improve with a better OL.

Incredible second season--especially when you consider:

His 1st year had the off-season/training camp/pre-season all jacked up thanks to COVID.

His 2nd off-season/training camp/pre-season he was rehabbing from an ACL tear.

If he finally gets a normal off-season program and can just focus on being a better QB--sky is the limit.

Interesting. The great offenses before would usually have at least one older dude, like Chris Carter, Kelce, Marvin or Isaac Bruce.
Cincy definitely has a bright future assuming they can build their OL.

i wouldn’t vote for burrow right now but he’s worked his way into the conversation for sure. I forget the exact wording but he supposedly has the highest rate of “interceptable passes that are actually intercepted”, like an exceedingly high rate which almost certainly has to regress and shows an amazing streak of bad luck.

He also has the most intercepted passes that are credited(by PFF anyway) to be the WR's fault. Something like only 4-5 of Burrow's picks are considered his fault.

For me, its between Burrow and Brady for MVP.

Speaking Wednesday, Joe Burrow (knee) said he did not expect to play in Week 18 against the Browns.

Burrow noted that his knee was sore but that he felt healthy enough to play if needed. He also said that he anticipates taking full reps throughout the week. Burrow's knee doesn't appear to be a major concern, but the Bengals aren't willing to risk his health in Week 18. If Brandon Allen manages to defeat Case Keenum, the Bengals have a shot at the No. 1 seed, which would give Burrow an additional week to rest up. However, the Bengals don't control their own seeding fate and need a series of other outcomes to take the No. 1 seed. Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd should all be downgraded with Allen at quarterback and may be pulled early from the game if the outcome becomes evident. Joe Mixon will miss the game with COVID, leaving Samaje Perine in place as the starting running back.

Certainly top-3 in dynasty. Dude was dropping 400-4 games back to back basically lol. 24 years old?

I may put Josh Allen above him though with the running

I'm glad I have him in one of my dynasties.  He'll have some real big games in '22 and beyond.  Watching him with Chase is fun.

Joe Burrow completed 23-of-38 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Bengals' 27-24, overtime victory over the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

Down 21-3 with five minutes remaining in the first half, the Bengals slowly worked their way back to force overtime as the Chiefs' offense went into coma. Cincy was dealt a potential fatal blow when Kansas City won the extra period coin toss, but a struggling Patrick Mahomes uncorked two awful throws before tossing an interception on attempt No. 3. Burrow and Joe Mixon then marched the Bengals into easy field goal range and Evan McPherson walked the game off for Cincinnati's first Super Bowl appearance since 1989. It was not a particularly great day for the Bengals' offense, but the defense was hellacious in the second half. Burrow and company will now wait to see if they will face the Rams or 49ers in the title tilt. Today matched the biggest AFC/NFC Championship Game comeback in NFL history. If Burrow hoists the Lombardi in two weeks time, he will be just the third quarterback after Joe Namath and Joe Montana to win both NCAA and NFL championships.

Think about how bad the Bengals were - just to be able to draft Burrow.  Add in ACL/MCL tear.

Leading the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his 2nd year.  Crazy.

Burrow looked a little like the Burrow at LSU with his running.  In a 2020 redraft it would be a close call between Burrow and Herbert.
