Just say healthy because this guy has some of the most moxi in the league.
Joe Burrow completed 22-of-33 passes for 263 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 23-20, Super Bowl LVI loss to the Rams.
As feared, Burrow was besieged behind the Bengals' sieve-like offensive line, particularly in the second half. Aaron Donald practically took up residence in Burrow's facemask as he ended up taking seven sacks. Burrow tried to tamp down summer expectations for his return from a torn ACL and MCL — not to mention meniscus and PCL damage — but instead made it clear from Week 1 he would be taking a sophomore step forward. Although he tossed 11 interceptions across his first nine starts, they were accompanied by 20 touchdowns. He then went into overdrive for the second half, finishing the year with a sparkling 34:14 TD:INT ratio to go along with league-leading marks in completion percentage (70.4) and yards per attempt (8.9). That efficiency/big-play combo was the same needle he threaded his historic final season at LSU, and the trick was pulled off this year with the assistance of his Tigers running mate Ja’Marr Chase, the favorite for OROY honors. Burrow’s main concern remains his penchant for sacks behind Cincinnati’s awful offensive line — he was hammered for a league-worst 51 of them — but his protection can be improved. Already a superstar, Burrow will be amongst the MVP favorites for his age-26 campaign in 2022.

Joe Burrow was sacked 70 times in 21 games this season, the third-most in NFL history.
Burrow's beating in 2021 trails only Randall Cunningham's 72 sacks taken in 1986 and David Carr's 76 sacks taken in 2002. He was once again under nonstop duress in the Bengals' Super Bowl loss to the Rams, taking seven sacks. Burrow was pressured on 36 percent of his postseason drop backs, a slight increase over his 33.7 percent regular season pressure rate. Look for the Bengals this offseason to spend significant resources shoring up their shoddy offensive line, graded by Pro Football Focus as one of the worst pass-blocking units in the NFL. Cincinnati ranked 30th in ESPN’s pass block win rate metric, which measures how often a team allows pressure within 2.5 seconds of the snap. Saints T Terron Armstead and Bucs C Ryan Jensen, both of whom could be available in free agency, would be major upgrades for the Bengals offensive line.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Bengals QB Joe Burrow sprained his knee in the Super Bowl and that the injury "shouldn't drastically alter his offseason."
This news isn't much of a surprise, but it's comforting to know after Burrow initially was down on the turf for a few minutes that the injury isn't serious. Cincinnati's franchise signal caller should be good for next season. Hopefully the Bengals will find a way to put a better offensive line in front of him to reduce the beating.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Joe Burrow will not need surgery to repair the MCL sprain he suffered in the Super Bowl.
Burrow was noticeably limping in the Super Bowl at times after his leg was twisted. Tests revealed after the game that he suffered an MCL sprain. Burrow played through the injury and is expected to be able to fully recover with rest and rehab. Burrow should be fully healthy by the spring, providing him with his first healthy offseason with the Bengals. If the Bengals can improve their pass protection next season, Burrow could build on his incredible success in the back half of the season and in the playoffs.

Joe Burrow completed 33 of 53 passes for 338 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions in the Bengals' 23-20, Week 1 overtime loss to the Steelers. He also ran six times for 47 yards.
Burrow also lost a fumble, totaling five turnovers in a concerning opening game loss. Burrow dealt with pressure throughout the game, despite hopes that the Bengals' offensive line would take a major step forward this season. The first warning sign occurred on the opening play when Burrow was sacked. He then dropped back and threw a pick-six on the following play. Later in the first quarter, Burrow had an interception called back by a defensive pass interference penalty, then lost a fumble on the following play. He went on to throw two more interceptions. However, Burrow also flashed brilliance, particularly when connecting with Ja'Marr Chase. The Bengals missed two separate game-winning kick attempts after Burrow put them in position with a game-tying passing touchdown and a would-be game-winning overtime drive. Burrow will be extremely dangerous if he can take better care of the ball in Week 2 against the Cowboys.

Joe Burrow completed 23-of-36 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals' 27-12, Week 3 win over the Jets.
With the Bengals entering Week 3 sporting a 0-2 record, Burrow left no stone unturned. He had his choosing of which receivers to hit as the Jets could do nothing to contain the Bengals' passing game early. Though it wasn't a total complete game, the mistakes that cost Burrow and the Bengals in the first two games were extremely minimal. Burrow has great momentum going into a Thursday Night Football showdown with the Dolphins.

Joe Burrow completed 20-of-31 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' 27-15, Week 4 win over the Dolphins.
In his cleanest start of the year, Burrow averaged 9.3 yards per attempt and took only one sack. He has now gone three straight games without an interception after his four-pick fiasco in Week 1. Fantasy managers will argue Burrow still could have had a bigger night with more creative play-calling from coach Zac Taylor, who has never met a first-down run he didn't like. Burrow's scores went for 59 yards to Tee Higgins and two yards to Hayden Hurst. The Higgins bomb was delivered perfectly over an outstretched Xavien Howard's hands. Stabilizing after his shaky start to the year, Burrow has a potential Week 5 shootout on deck in the Ravens.

Joe Burrow completed-24-of-35 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Cincinnati's 19-17, Week 5 loss over the Ravens.
He added a rushing touchdown on a goal-line sneak where he was pushed into the end zone by a teammate. Burrow completed almost all of his passes to the flats: 24 of his passes were within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage and went to the left or the right, and 12 of those were behind the line of scrimmage. Without Tee Higgins, the Bengals surprisingly lost their ability to threaten the Ravens vertically. Higgins' status will mean a lot for Burrow's fantasy value next week against the Saints, but he's likely somewhere in the middle or back of the QB1 line.

Joe Burrow completed 33-of-42 passes for 481 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals' 35-17, Week 7 win over the Falcons, adding three carries for 20 additional yards and a touchdown.
With the Bengals continuing to spread it out and go pass-heavier, Burrow threw for the second most yards of his increasingly-illustrious career. He had a ridiculous three touchdowns and 345 yards on 25 first half attempts as the Bengals built a 28-17 lead. Whenever the Falcons made a mistake — like Richie Grant falling down on what ended up a 60-yard Tyler Boyd score in the first quarter — Burrow made them pay. Burrow rushed for a one-yard, quarterback-sneak touchdown to put the icing on the 35-17 cake in the third quarter. Taking full advantage of his loaded supporting cast, Burrow found each of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd for at least 5/93. Simply ridiculous. Operating as one of the 2-3 best offensive players in the entire league, Burrow has a soft Week 8 matchup in the Browns.

Joe Burrow completed 22-of-28 passes for 206 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' 42-21, Week 9 win over the Panthers, adding four carries for nine additional yards and a touchdown.
The Bengals controlled this one from start to finish, erupting for four touchdowns in the second quarter to head into half with a massive 35-0 lead over the panthers. Burrow's day would come to an end after the Bengals' final possession of the third quarter, with Joe Mixon's fifth touchdown of the game allowing Cincinnati to rest their franchise quarterback heading into the team's bye week. Burrow's only pass touchdown of the day came on a broken play that saw running back Joe Mixon shake his defender in the end zone and beat him to the right side of the end zone. The Bengals coast into their bye at a record of 5-4 as they look to keep pace with the Ravens for the top spot in the AFC North.

Always wise this time of year to carry a backup starter - keeps waivers dry and you should have a good starting lineupOther than stats updates there have only been 6 posts in this thread since week 1, 4 of which were admiring his week 7 torching of Atlanta.
Mike White is the top available QB and I am considering dropping Folk or Myers to scoop him up as insurance.
Burrow insurance vs 2 top 5 kickers to alternate based on weather/match up. I suppose keeping the top QB available and a top 5 kicker off your opponent's roster also has some value too.
For those of you with Burrow and playoffs locked in already, are you carrying a backup QB?
Joe Burrow completed 25-of-31 attempts for 286 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' Week 13 win against the Chiefs, adding 11 rushes for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Burrow's line would have been better if Tyler Boyd hadn't had one of the worst touchdown drops in living memory. He methodically picked apart the Kansas City secondary all day and showed a willingness to flee the pocket, scoring a short rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Burrow targeted Ja'Marr Chase a team-high eight times upon his return to the lineup following a month-long hip injury. He handled pressure well throughout and made a clutch throw to Tee Higgins on third and 11 late in the fourth quarter -- a completion that allowed the Bengals to drain the clock and put the Chiefs away. Burrow will be a high-end QB1 in Week 14 against a horrific Browns defense.

Joe Burrow completed 27-of-39 for 200 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception in the Bengals' Week 15 win against the Bucs, adding three rushes for eight yards.
Burrow and the Bengals offense appeared frazzled and discombobulated against Tom Brady and the Bucs, going down 17-0 before pouring on 34 straight points. Burrow was inefficient through the air -- he nearly hit on a couple downfield shots in the second half -- but effectively carved up Tampa's secondary, which was healthier in Week 15 than it had been in at least a month. Burrow's red zone passing was spot on in the second half, as he hit Tyler Boyd, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins for short scores. He connected with Higgins for a two-point conversion. A frustrated Bucs defense had no answers for the Bengals passing attack in the final two quarters. Burrow, the first-ever Bengals quarterback with back-to-back 30-touchdown seasons, will be a QB1 in Week 16 against the Patriots.

Had no idea. That's prettt impressive. I know the sample size difference from the minimum threshold to those of guys like Brees is enormous, but still having a 0.8% lead is pretty impressive.I saw where Burrow is 12 pass attempts from 1500, the benchmark for comparing career completion percentage.
Brees is currently #1 at 67.7%. Burrow is currently at 68.5%.
Even if Burrow throws his first 12 passes in the dirt tonight he will replace Brees at the top of the list.
Here are the top 20 for comparison:

Joe Burrow completed 23-of-32 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' 24-17, Wild Card win over the Ravens, adding nine yards and a touchdown on five carries.
The box score is a bit misleading for the Cincinnati commander, largely due to the minimal number of offensive plays the Bengals were afforded. Baltimore handily won the time of possession battle, exacerbated by an 80-yard drive that resulted in a 98-yard fumble returned for a touchdown, which gave the ball right back to the Ravens in the second half. The Bengals had only four possessions in the second half, three of which combined for only 20 total yards. Still, the Bengals attempted 32 passes to just 18 rush attempts, five of which came from quarterback Joe Burrow - meaning this offense continues to operate as one of the more pass-heavy units in the league. Next up is another difficult test against the two-seed Bills in Buffalo.
