The week couldn't have went any better. I won using Cousins, and Kyler came back strong.

I think we see now why the "experts" more/less dismissed Arizona's 1st place (on paper) status all season and focused all talk on whether the Packers would have enough to topple the Buccs and whether the Rams could get back into contention for the NFC crown (despite their 2nd place in division and previous blowout loss to ARZ).

Yeah, has any coach hitched their wagon to one player more than KK to KM in awhile? I can't name them but this is up there.

You guys have short memories. Before his injujry in both 2020 and last year, he was BALLING. One of the best QBs in FF. If anything, we can talk about the concern of him staying healthy because of his smaller size, but saying he's decent? Come on. Through the first 11 weeks of 2020 he was the #1 scoring QB in our league (4 pts passing TDs) And this year in weeks 1-7 before he was injured he was the 3rd highest scoring QB (and 8 points from the highest scoring QB) and top 5 when he returned weeks 13-17 (although I will argue he wasn't the same QB, plus not having Hopkins did hurt)

This is what I give him over Dak. I feel we know Dak is an average QB now.
Kyler has time to improve. But holy moly did he physically and mentally fold in that game. Physically and mentally came up really, really small.

Im actually eying both Dak and Kyler for discounts next year. Dak was coming off a huge injury and was still banged up. Kyler was balling until he lost Hopkins and got hurt himself. The last games for both were ugly and hoping they slip a bit and can be had much cheaper. I still like both offenses.
Its also a little troubling that the Cardinals have majorly faded down the stretch all 3 years of Murray's career. I think that is more of a Kingsbury issue than a Murray issue, but I can't be 100% sure.

In the not really news but may be newsworthy category, after the Pro Bowl, Murray deleted any reference to the Cardinals on his social media. He deleted just about everything except a pic of him and CeeDee Lamb and a pic of him winning the Heisman. He unfollowed the Cardinals and there is nothing discussing or showing him as a Cardinals player.

Yeah, I mean, it might be nothing, but in the social media age, it's usually not nothing. Murray is absolutely making a statement here of some sort.
The question is how significant is the damage to their relationship, and is it salvageable.

Murray made his statement in the Rams game. Can`t remember ever seeing a worse performance by a QB in a playoff game. Murray is at his ceiling right now with no more upside.
Murray should be the one doing everything he can to get a new contract.

He's shown some upside. I don't know if that was a statement or just a Rams defense that came to play.
I've seen Murray play at a very high level. I was a doubter when he was drafted. That team was discombobulated. I think a lot of it was on Kingsbury.

Maybe but his size is turning out to be a detriment. I was a huge Murray fan and still think he is a good QB.
I know Murray is listed at 5-10 but he looks smaller.

I don’t know if it’s his size. One thing that I noticed in his rough end of season stretch was really bad touch on short passes. Poorly placed fastballs.
And he takes wayyy too many sacks that he shouldn’t. That’s probably been the thing I’ve noticed most about him since he’s been in the league. A lot of the sacks he takes are purely on him.

Agreed. It doesn't help that it feels like every time I see him play is when he has a bad game, but it just seems like he is a guy that crumbles when you give him the ball with two minutes and you need a score (the Hail Mary to D Hopkins in 2020 notwithstanding of course), and unless you are Aaron Rodgers, great QBs in this league make their bones by being great at the end of games on a regular basis (Brady, Peyton, Elway, Marino, Montana, etc.).

Even those who aren't all time Legend level sustain careers with clutch performances to win games. Stafford, Rivers, Eli, Tannehill, Ryan and others all have a very healthy number of 4th quarter comeback performances.

Answer #2-QBs like Murray can get huge extensions or any Rookie who completes 3 of their first 4 seasons on their rookie deal. And it might even be more special for 1st Rd picks who all have a potential 5th year option.
All that to set this up...Murray has been injured a bit and is on the small side. He might have gotten a whiff that a traditionally cheap organization wasn't even discussing the potential extension which leaves him going into Season 4 with them exercising their 5th year option which is a lot of money but way under a new contract or extension for a Top5 -10 QB depending on who you ask NFL vs FF etc...and rather than watch it play out he is letting them know "Trade Me" and in fact "we weren't even competitive in the Playoffs, we fade every year, all these great minds getting hired, what is Coach KK still doing here?"
Murray knows he could end up getting hurt pretty bad next season when he is set to sign a potential extension. He doesn't want to play games over the summer. But I don't think this is a negotiation tactic as much as it's him telling Arizona that like DeShaun Watson, he wants no part of the team that drafted him after a few years in the NFL.

Pat Mcaffee on his show yesterday was just lobbing stuff out and wondered if this was not a show of support for Kliff. Some stories around that Bidwill is so mad he was/is trying to stall on giving out coaches their playoff bonus money.
What is more likely to me is that during Bidwill's anger at the coaching staff he directed some of that anger over Kyler's play and it got back to him.
As MOP indicated in his post above the timing really gets to me however and fact he did this right after the Pro Bowl.
Either way there is something here and that something might blow over and we never get a straight answer but right now something is for sure up.

Not a good look. I’ve been a Murray fan since he came into the league, but there have been many times where I have questioned his leadership on the field. He seems to pout a lot and be hesitant to accept any accountability. Also, he played like complete crap against the Rams. He should be a accepting that responsibility as the leader of his team not whining about being a scapegoat.

Arizona isn't trying to drum-up trade interest.
Seems odd to throw your starting QB under the bus if they want him and seems even stranger to throw him under the bus if you want to trade him.
Could be an individual within the org trying to deflect blame because it is an odd thing to leak.

Many times if a lot of stories come out with conspicuous timing, someone is pushing an agenda. Kyler hasn't been branded as a headache or selfish or immature for 3 years, but all of a sudden when he seems to want out of AZ all these stories come out. That doesn't mean they're not true, but the timing is a benefit to the Cards because it limits Murray's options if other teams aren't interested.
