QB Lamar Jackson, BAL (19 Viewers)

Based on his schedule, I’m outright dropping him. Cost me 2 straight weeks, this will prob be the 3rd. Dropped from 2nd to 6th with a 3rd straight loss this week. What a turd he’s become.

Something is off with Lamar...it's like Austin Powers when he lost his mojo...Lamar usually has this air where it feels like something big is gonna happen at any moment...it just doesn't feel like that right now.

Not at all. The explosiveness is non-existent.

Picking up Jayden Daniels while I still can in redraft because I no longer trust Lamar to get it done in the fantasy playoffs. He’s clearly not over the three lower body injuries he has.

My first 3 picks in a 10 team super flex were Gibbs/LJax/Taylor, so I’m in first place despite him either sucking or being hurt - but I really don’t feel good about the ROS, particularly as Maye has been tailing off as well. Kirk Cousins to the white courtesy phone?

The elephant in the room not being talked about is that Lamar isn't the passer everyone thinks he is when defenses don't have to worry about his running, which the last few weeks have shown. I know he is playing hurt, but what NFL player isn't a bit dinged up at this point in the season? And you can tell defenses smell blood in the water with him.

This is just it. He's not a good traditional qb.

He was always going to run out of gas way before other qbs who throw first and know how to throw first

True. And I don't think this is the end by any means. He could easily come back healthy next year and be super elite again; I'd be surprised if he didn't. I just think it's clear now that his play drops off big time if he doesn't have the ability to move around quickly and run.

The toe injury that popped up in addition to the hammy is troubling, the throws to me look like he has no platform, the running is limited to a place where he’s picking his spots

I doubt it’s the kind of thing that gets right in 2025

In the game thread VS. the Browns, someone speculated if Lamar had been injured the week prior against the Vikings.
It is possible he's working through an injury because it 'appears' that something is up with his play over the past four weeks starting with the Vikings game four weeks ago.

He had two TDs taken off the board. The turnovers are bad but I don't think the sky is falling as much as people are acting.
I have to disagree with you on this one. He looks like he's running in mud out there... flat-footed instead of up on his toes.

I think it's affecting his accuracy as well. Not saying he's JJ Nine bad, but he's nothing like Lamar 1st half of the season special.

You can not win with the way Lamar is playing the last 3 weeks. Less than 10 points a week in my league when other QB’s are scoring 20+.

He is also killing Flowers, Andrews and others Fantasy Value. He really looks not engaged.

Don’t think that’s fair. He’s engaged and super frustrated. This guy cares

You must be watching a different QB.

He's had three games in a row with less than 10 points. Over that span he hasn't thrown a TD, but has five turnovers and less than 50 yards rushing.

In both real life and fantasy he's been terrible.

He's killing his owners down the stretch here.

He has the look right now that this is the first time his skills are letting him down…the guy is a compete freak of an athlete and my guess is he has never experienced what he is now going thru and due to that he is in uncharted territory and as you said he is super frustrated.

I think we are at the point where you can not start Lamar with any confidence.
I said ride or die above. Might have to rethink this. Luckily Rice might pick up his slack this week. I will say this. His WR's did him no favors either. Likely fumbles at goal line. Zay, marginal push off. Put up two passing TD's and not so bad. He ran well, when he ran. But for sure going to have to look at options.

I said the same thing.

But of course, I'm now looking at plan Bs for next week. Don't see much. And I doubt I'll have the nuts to sit him.

After this horrible 3 game stretch I don't know how he can be considered a tier 1 fantasy QB. In theory he absolutely SHOULD be, but that recent track record is ugly.

Something has to change.
