What is crazy is that Mac Jones was one of the best prospects for accuracy on deep throws (over 20 yds) which is typically an indicator for success at the next level. But it hasn't carried through. And he's currently the worst on deep throws (2 for 20). It shows the high value of those Alabama pass catchers, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, John Metchie III and Najee Harris.
Conversely, you have C.J. Stroud who was also super accurate and had one of the greatest WR rooms in college. He was clearly the best QB prospect in this draft and it all carried through to the next level.
And then you have Brock Purdy who made plays like
this and
this in college but is somehow Tom Brady 2.0 at the next level. It doesn't make any sense sometimes.
