QB Russell Wilson, NYG (1 Viewer)

Russell Wilson is 5-1 in the playoffs for his career

In the loss, he went 24/36 for 385 (10.7 ypa), 2td, 1int, 109.1 rating. He was a rookie. In that game he led the team on three touchdown drives in the 4th quarter, the final one taking the lead with 31 seconds to go.
That playoff loss didn't even hurt, I knew that day we were going to see great times.

He just wins.
F That. That's the sort of bull #### that people would say about Tebow when looking to justify his contributions. Wilson makes plays that contributes to wins. Seattle doesn't win in spite of him.
Calm down!! That wasn't a negative comment about Wilson. The guy is a winner and always has been on and off the field.
Who's not calm? I guess that's the default when reading the written word, to assume that the writer is having some strong emotion. I disagree. That's all. "He just wins" is a backhanded compliment IMO.

:lmao:

Its still awful that RG3 won rookie of the year over Russell. I thought it was terrible then. Its even worse now because I don't hear anyone admitting they made a mistake.

it's not, though. it's pretty much the highest compliment you can give an athlete
I strongly disagree. The idea that quarterbacks get all the blame/credit is silly. What makes the NFL so much better than the other major sports to me is that its by far the most team oriented game.
And what is the most important position in the NFL? Just stop. You aren't looking good.

Fun Fact Time! :)

Peyton Manning's record since he took over the Broncos in 2012: 40-13

Russell Wilson's record since he took over the Seahawks in 2012: 41-13

Huh? That is a regular season award based on just their rookie year. It has nothing to do with who will be the better player or who has the better career. RG3 deserved the award that year.

:lmao: 5'-11"...maybe. He will go the way of Troy Smith and Pat White, both thought of as potential NFL starters yet failed miserably. His best case scenario is backup and injury fill in like that Wallace bum who I saw that they likened him to during the draft. Fantaasy irrelevant. Smith http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=569728 & http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=577975 among others White http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=466293 & http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=466116
Still an all time #### up of a post.
Didn't you know? If you're black QB there's no possible way you can be good.
Yeah, but he isn't black enough, so he doesn't qualify.

Yeah how did RG3 not deserve the ROY in 2012?

RG3:

3200yds, 65.6%, 20 TDs, 5 INTs, 102.4, 815yds, 7 TDs

Wilson:

3118yds, 62.8%, 26 TDs, 10 INTs, 100.0, 489yds, 4 TDs

Well they should have been able to predict the future and realize that RG3 would eventually become a bust. Bunch of morons

I was rooting for Wilson for ROY but RG3 had a great season. Despite the crash and burn that followed you can't argue that awarding Griffin the ROY for 2012 was a bad decision. I'm not sure anyone could predict that over the next two years, RG3 would amass the same number of regular season wins that Wilson would collect in the post season.

Let's not act like this was ALL Wilson. Lots of things happened for him to even be in that position. Not hating on the guy at all. But to imply that this was ALL Wilson is reaching. This was a team win.

Rotoworld:

Russell Wilson completed 14-of-29 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions as the Seahawks defeated Green Bay 28-22 in overtime to advance to Super Bowl XLIX.

Wilson also added a rushing score in a contest the Seahawks trailed 16-0 at halftime. It was arguably the worst game of Wilson's career until late in regulation. Wilson entered the 56-minute mark with eight completions, and couldn't stop tossing picks. His four interceptions were just three fewer than he threw all year. Wilson did work with his legs late in the fourth quarter, however, and pinpointed two deep bombs in overtime to send Seattle to its second-straight Super Bowl. Wilson will have to be much better in two weeks in Arizona, but almost certainly will be as the Seahawks look to get a dynasty going.

Who precisely are you arguing with?
Sir, I do not come to the pool to argue. Rather, enlighten. I am not looking to bicker. I am simply stating my position. I do not believe Wilson is the sole reason for today's amazing win. He was a big part of why they had to come from behind. I was simply trying to give the defense and special teams the rightful credit they deserve. If not for them, Wilson's early struggles might have prevented them from the opportunity to repeat. I appreciate Wilson's leadership and skillset. However, on this day (at least through the first 3/4 of the game) he came up short.

I was shocked even more when they said he was still on his rookie contract. It's seems to me the NFL moving to a game of drafting. IF you draft well you open a window for a few years then you can't afford to keep a great team together. I think it's sad because I like seeing players stay with their team.

Russell is a special guy. To do what he did just takes him to another level in this game. No dominate receivers, yet when he needs to make a play he puts the ball where anyone can catch it. A lot of those passes today would have been caught by great wide outs but to do it with average guys. That's special. Imagine if they had a Dez or Megatron.

Right, but that's kind of obvious, isn't it?
Of course it's obvious. That's my whole point. Maybe you misunderstood my post??

When you said "let's not act like it's all Wilson" I sort of assumed you meant someone was acting like it was all Wilson. So yeah, I think I did misunderstand something.
Snowmen crashing through doors. Yeah man, I wasn't making that assumption. Just pointing out the obvious. Hoping Wilson bounces back next week and has a strong game. I have him in a playoff league of mine. Not calling anyone out. Dog food is best served hot.

What do those two lines mean?
