QB Spencer Rattler, NO (1 Viewer)

46 pass attempts in a relatively close game? Wowza, could be a good sign going forward just based on that volume. Also should have had a potential game tying touchdown but Juwan Johnson dropped it, albeit would have been tougher catch but it was an impressive NFL level throw inbetween defenders.

Anyone watch more closely?

Is anybody else watching this game today? Rattler is playing winning football. Receivers have had some awful drops. I am somewhat impressed.

Spencer Rattler completed 25-of-34 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 26-21, Week 2 loss to the 49ers.

Rattler added four rushes for 14 yards.
He also took three sacks for 21 yards. It was not only the first three-touchdown start of Rattler’s career, but the first two-touchdown effort, as well. He made enough plays to give the Saints a chance to win at the end, but his 6.1 yards per attempt tell the story of an unexplosive quarterback. Rattler has looked slightly better than expected through two weeks on the job, but not enough to suggest this is going to be a positive season in New Orleans, or that second-round rookie Tyler Shough won’t eventually make starts. Rattler has a daunting Week 3 road test in the Seahawks.

Spencer Rattler is slowly playing himself into fantasy football consideration. He's been bad for Olave so far but you can't ignore his last 2 weeks.

I have been trying to trade him in two dynasty leagues for weeks now with no takers. We shall see if I get any offers this week. Maybe I'll just hold him.

I've seen nothing to suggest he shouldn't start all season. Also, 49ers are good. Sure, Purdy and Kittle were out, but Bosa and Warner weren't.

He’s a guy that’s definitely falling under the radar, especially in superflex. Looks like a team that’s going to throw the ball a lot.

Yeah, that 9ers defense is legit. Solid showing for Rattler. You won't be able to trade him due to the presence of Shough (the future). Just gotta ride it out.

Definitely the best game he has played in the NFL, but he is still winless
:sadbanana:
That's assuredly hardly all on him, but when wins and losses are all that matters and there are no wins, QBs get replaced unless they have a big time pedigree. So there's certainly a risk there about Rattler staying as the starter.

Are we confident that Shough is definitely the future? I know he was a 2nd round pick, but wasn't exactly dominant in college.
I'M not confident in Shough. I just think that is the overall consensus as to what others think when trying to trade away Rattler. You're not gonna get anything in return since people are waiting on Shough to take his place any moment. New coaches and their shiny new toys and all. I can see them benching Rattler if they continue to lose, regardless of Rattlers personal performance, so they can see what Shough is.
