I am a fins fan. Without a 5 page post the short of it is - I like Tua and he gets a bad wrap. Having said that he has not had an O-line for years. They haven't helped Tua out and just expected him to get crushed game in and game out - running for his life.I assume your a Dolphins fan? What is the fanbase's feeling towards Tua as a long-term starter? I suppose many people are ready to move on?I will say this, he looked "better" last night. Still had to run for his life a few times and tried his best to get concussed on his one run - just slide early bro...
The O-line didn't seem all that great again which isn't good long term (for this year). Tua doesn't get a lot of help but at times he doesn't help himself either. I feel it is only a matter of time until he gets hurt again on one of his scrambles.
I've always liked Tua. He didn't look good early this year, but showed signs last week. He can spin it when he's in rhythm and doesn't have to maneuver around. I'm rooting for him to turn things around!
Now he needs to make better decisions when he does run and he hasn't learned that lesson yet. But he is healthy and when they give him time in the pocket he has done well.
I'm not sure any other QB could have faired well over the past few years with the injuries on that O-line.
Generally the fans want him gone and think the next guys is going to be magically better. It isn't easy finding QBs.
