Quentin Moses (1 Viewer)

Peak

I have him along with some solid veterans like Grant and Kerney. I start two, but I was looking at picking up some additional help in this year's draft. Is Moses worth keeping around, or is he taking up free space on a roster? I saw he had 7 tackles for Miami last year, but I don't see him on this year's depth chart.

So what's the FBG view?

Jason Taylor and Joey Porter are currently penciled into the OLB slots in Miami. Neither are long term options obviously and Moses is really the only guy on the depth chart who looks like he may be able to generate much of a pass rush at OLB. He's risky, but if your scoring system gives big points for sacks and you've got a deep roster spot to burn, he's worth holding until the season begins and the Dolphins decide what to do with Taylor.

If your sack-to-tackle ratio is 4.0 or less, though, he's safe to cut.

I think Moses chances are hurt more by a 3-4 than if they stayed to more of a 4-3. I can't see him as DE in 3-4 and not sure he'd cut it as a OLB.

For fantasy hopes his only real value probably was as a 4-3 E. But he's struggling to stick in the NFL, and I think 3-4 OLB is his best shot. He was a scholarship basketball player and has above average ballskills and solid footwork to move laterally as an LB. I don't think he's physical enough to make it with his hand down; he may not be physical enough to make it period.
