Question - Waiver Wire Quaterbacks week 8? (1 Viewer)

I thought that there would be this thread, with Romo going down, instead of just whether or not to drop him. From here on out, who is the WW QB to have? Kitna, Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Freeman, Bradford, or someone else? Freeman has the best FF playoff numbers according to the lineup dominator, if you include week 13. Does Kitna continue where Romo left off, is he playing for a contract? Does DAL have the best offense so this makes it the smart move. Is Stafford a safe play after being out so long? Are DET and BUF just bad enough, that they'll keep slinging the ball for the rest of the year? Are there any receiving options left in STL, and Bradford has a bye? Is TAM just good enough that they will be able to have a ball control type of an offense and limit a QB's production? Rate them from here on out.

Fitzpatrick and Freeman have been rolling right along since day one. I'd put them at the top of the list. Freeman's numbers aren't as good but he's got a better playoff schedule.

Stafford should be OK but Shaun Hill played pretty well and I would not be surprised if the Lions offense took a step backwards with Stafford.

Bradford has done well for a rookie but I'd be very concerned about hitting the "rookie wall" (not to mention the fact that his teammates have been dropping like flies).

As for Kitna? Frankly, I doubt he'll make it through the rest of the year. He'll either get benched for poor performance, or his 38-year-old body will simply break down. He might be able to put up 225/2/2 for a few games, but I'd keep rather go with a guy like Fitzpatrick or Freeman (who are younger, healthier, and aren't at risk for being benched). Plus, you just never know what could happen with Jerry Jones in charge.

Freeman and Fitz are great plays. Just this week I put in for both and wound up with Freeman. Excellent playoff schedule plus a very decent option for spot starting.
