Saw the DAL/HOU game. For once NFL.com summed it up well. Barber and Romo looked great, F Jones actually fine too, way better than his stats (just wasn't given anything by OL). Shaub looked pathetic early, good-not-great later on. Deep sleepers who also looked great were RB Slaton and WR Walters. What esp surprised me about Slaton was his power. He did not go down on first contact to say the least. Would not be at all surprised to see him get a lot of playing time this year.

Other games and my few impressions (mostly from stats and news blurbs), but didn't see - would like to hear anyone confirm/deny and general comments on "key" FF players:

PHI/NE: D. Jackson was impressive, McNabb fine, Maroney not so hot

GB/DEN: Rodgers looked great, Cutler sucked early but fine later, don't know about RBs/WRs-?

TEN/ATL: Young still sucks, Ryan looked good, Norwood/Turner looking fine, Mr new-marshall-faulk Chris Johnson underwhelming

Jennings played and had at least a catch. Looked like good ol Jennings as far as cutting and explosion. Brandon Jackson is good out of the backfield but really doesn't show much running the ball.

Westbrook was his usual studly self. Eagles O-Line looked in midseason form. The interior of that line is nasty & Max Jean Gilles isn't in the same stratosphere as Shawn Andrews. McNabb had all day to throw & was whippin it; the throw to Jackson in the corner safety window was a thing of beauty. LJ made a couple of catches but Bruschi & Vrabel have zero range anymore.
