As a fan of the old classic hard rock and metal bands, I admit I don't know much about the newer bands. Obviously Iron Maiden is huge, but I was shocked that they are only "co-headlining" the big Sonisphere festival in the UK this summer with Rammstein. Could this be legit? I had never even heard of Rammstein before. They must be huge somewhere.

German band. They got somewhat popular here with

I don't know a ton about them but I've liked just about everything I've heard from them

I've always liked what I've heard of their music, but I've watched a couple of live concerts on Youtube and it looks amazing. Would definitely go if they come back here.

i wouldn't put Rammstein and Maiden on the same level when it comes to popularity. the "co-headlining" label is just a way for the promoter to get more fans to the show. all about :moneybag:

Rammstein are huge, and are international stars. They have a few best selling WORLD WIDE artist awards, and created a media image that just begged for attention. Oh, they also produce some good music too. Herzeleid, Mutter, Reise, Reise are all great albums and worth listening to, and Sehnsucht has duhast, engel, and Bück dich; which were great, and it is my least favorite of anything they've produced since 2000.
