Ran a 10k in June (1 Viewer)

Hey, guys. Back at my sister's apartment after a long but AWESOME couple of days at the Ragnar. Truth be told, it was probably the most fun I've ever had at a running event!!! We finished the 193 miles in just a little over 23 hours, and while I haven't seen any official results, I'd be hard-pressed to think that we didn't win the mixed division, because we were HAULING ### out there!!! Super pleased with how I nailed my runs. Did my first run at 2 PM and averaged 6:41's for 6.48 miles on a relatively flat course. Second leg started around 11 PM and was SUPER hilly. Still managed to average a solid 7:09 pace for 6.6 miles. Got maybe 15 minutes sleep before my 3rd leg at 5 AM, but managed to pound out 7:02's for 7.46 miles! Also ran a few miles with one of the girls on my team, so I probably ended up pushing 25 miles or so for the entire event. And believe it or not, my legs actually feel pretty good!!!!Anyway, made a bunch of awesome new friends, and left feeling more confident than ever about Chicago. My weight is down to about 208, which I think also made a big difference on those hills. I'm usually a horrible hill runner, but I #######' killed it out there. Also amazing to me how a person can dig deeper for that little something extra when you know you have teammates out there waiting for you!In any case, already looking forward to next year. Gotta go clean up and then go meet the sis and her friends. Have a great weekend, everybody!
:tinfoilhat:

Awesome job, gruecd! I'm sure it was a blast.

My 5K: warm and extremely humid morning ...ran a 21:53 (7:03/mile or so), good for 2nd in my age group, and 16th of 115 runners. Nice event; worked it well, making several passes over the last two miles.

I'll put some times out here for me to shoot for.750m swim: 20:30 water time plus 30 secs to cross the mat - 21 min (or 15 min if the rescue boats fish me out)13.3mi bike: expect to average about 21 mph on a hilly course on my road bike. min speed 9mph, max speed 38 mph - 38 min5k run: ran 24:32 last week on the front end so let's add two minutes on the back end - 26.5 min
Ugh....unofficial times.Swim went better than expected. Got out of the water at 17-18 minutes. Surprised at how cooked I was. HR was thru the roof. Used a combo of crawl, breast, and back stroke. I'm sure several guys have bruised kidneys from my breast stroke kick. I'll have about another 2 minutes added on as the T1 mat was up a couple hundred yard maze.T1 - No clue. Took some time to clean my feet as we ran thru gravel, pine needles, mud, and sand.Bike was a 21.7 average, I'm guessing just south of 37 minutes. The computer started when I was rolling in transition and back to the rack. Negetive split the ##### at 21.2 for the first half (348 ft climbing) and 22.3 for the second half (313 ft climbing). The breast stroke cooked my hips and it took me awhile to get into the groove. The final climb was .53 mile at 4.2% grade (6.5 max). Average 16 mph up the ##### and keep it above 10 mph the whole way. three people passed me early in the bike leg, I caught all of the on the 2.25 mi run in with a 24.6 mph average. i was just getting into my groove when the fun was over. We caught a shower during the bike so some of the final corners were very dicey.T2 - One shoe on the pedal, the other foot didn't slip out and brought the shoe along for the jog. Everything was smooth here.Run - 30 minutes is my best guesstimate. Funny thing is that I felt like I ran faster. The dickweeds had the 1 mi water stop at 3/4 (didn't know this at the time). I passed it just over 7 min and thought I was smoking the run. At 15 min we turned into a long straight away. oh no...where's the 2 mi maker. 17 mi...still nothing. Finally at 19 min I passed it. Now I know the mileage was wrong and was sure how to pace my effort. Finished in 1:28:27 according to my watch. I very disappointed with my run. If I'm right about the time, my pace was close to my untrained pace back in Feb on a 4 mi run after doing another 4 mi run and a 30 mi bike. Finished 6 mi off the podium. My team mates had a 3rd in open, two 1sts in age group, one 3rd in age group, and a 1st in clydesdale. There were 700 people in this event, 60/40 men to women, and the talent was top shelf.
Good show! Which tri was this?Too bad you're nowhere close to me or we'd be able to train each other on the swim and bike. Nice bike split, BTW. On a rolling course that is going to be at the top of list when the final standings come out. I'm sure on that final hill climb you were passing folks left and right. 16mph on that hill is just screaming. And then like in my tri I'm sure you watched a bunch of people cruise by on the run.

Great runs Tri-Man & Gruecd, & a tough, but real good tri BNB.

My race report goes like this: My wife is not only way better looking than I, but WAY smater too for dropping down to the 12K versus the 1/2. The race started at 9,600 ft and crested at just over 10,400. Like Chicago, I went out too fast, but found I could breath realtively OK (although, my lungs feel like I swam in a pool all day). There was a VERY technical trail section in the first 4 miles that was equal parts fun and butt-kicking. The crusher of crushers was a constant climb from the 4.5 mile mark to the 9.5 mile mark getting gradually tougher the last 3 miles, including some switch backs due to the terrain (miles 5-12 were on a split bike path. No shame in saying I did quite a bit out walking on the uphills. However, the last 3.5+ miles were all downhill and I made a lot of time back. This was BY FAR the toughest race I've done and finished in 2:18:51 for 10:35, good enough for 82nd overall and 14th in the 40 to 49 (supersized) age group. Every inch of the race had amazing scenery, from snow capped peaks to several running rivers. At the end, the were calling it "The Nation's Hardest 1/2" and not "The Nation's Highest 1/2". Either way, I got great bragging rights today and and cashed to show it.

Lake Norman. Good show should be reserved for people with 5k times less than 30 mins....like tri-man. 2y2b ran the same pace as me....of course he did it for 12 miles up a mountain above the snow line in August. Probably had grizzlies with laser beams chasing him too. Congrats on a great race 2y2b

Bah - I'm on about the same level with the running. That time looks pretty decent to me.

Yep, our team of six guys and six girls averaged 7:13's!!!!
Holy Hell that's hauling ###. Congrats to you, BnB, 2Y2BB, Mrs. 2Y2BB, and Tri-Man!! Spent the day on Fox Lake with family skiing and tubing. And eating... Still planning to start my 15 miler in about 7 hours - looks like it'll be humid but it should be below 60 degrees for the bulk of it. I think I can handle that! I actually have a fantasy draft on Monday night and I MUST prep for that, too!!

4 weeks until my first race, so I did my 5K test today. At 23:02, just missed my goal of 23:00 but am pretty happy. Had felt like I was regressing over the past week and taking two days off before this morning's run did so much to bring my legs back. Even though my sked calls for me to run 5 days a week, my body is telling me that's just a little too much right now. So I'm going to ease it back to 4 days per week this week and see what kind of difference it makes.

Today's 7 a.m. Baltimore weather report -- 74 degrees and 93 percent humidity. It's been over 90 percent humidity for every one of my runs during that "regressing" time period, but that topical air is finally leaving the area today -- maybe that will help a little bit too! Was flying for the first half of my run this morning, then hit the turnaround at my halfway point and ran square into the lovely west wind that's bringing in the fresh air -- and that I hadn't realized had been blowing me merrily along to start my run.

Running progress!

As I have reported before here I have been running at an 8-8:30 pace for most of my runs. Best I have clocked has been an 8:02 mile. Lately I have been extending runs a bit further and finally getting what I consider to be some fitness. The work is starting to pay off. I have had the energy to push it coming home and have been able to breath afterward (small steps) in recent runs. Today we had spectacular weather, so despite this being an official rest day I decided to go for a run.

Anyway, today I ran 2.87 miles (I thought it was closer to 3.1, I was a bit off) in 21:21. That is a 7:27 mile - or :35 per mile better than I have done before. The course has 250 feet of climbing, so not pancake flat, either. Ran the second half only 7 seconds slower than the first - so pretty decent pacing.

To say I was happy with this run is an understatement. This is a smashing improvement.

I have a company sponsored 5K coming up at the beginning of October. I am hoping to improve a bit more by then. (More importantly I am hoping to crush my officemates.) Realistically how much improvement should one be able to reasonably expect in 8 weeks?

Back in town from the NY trip ...good to read the reports from BnB and 2Young - great efforts, guys! BnB, you're coming along on the tri's, so just be patient and stick with it. It's hard to master all disciplines. 2Young - wow - that sounds like an incredible course!!! And gruecd, I'm still envious of, and impressed with, your team's race.

Great to read of the training progress of others. jmcc - sorry to hear about the medical report. We're all here to support you however we can. Come and vent/worry/share anytime.

Jon, a welcome to you too!

Congratulations, Sand!! Terrific run. Love it when those things happen! Speaking of which, it's amazing what only one week (and about 10 degrees) can do for you...

Set out for my 15 miler about an hour late this morning (just needed the sleep!) at 7:15. It was 59 degrees - still humid, but at 59 who cares about a little humidity?!? No backpack of Gatorade this time (can't risk being shamed by BnB again for my sugar intake!). Just my 1.4 liter Camelbak belt pack and 2 Gu's.

First 5 miles, 9:27s, Ave HR 151 (for me, that's amazingly low!)

next 5 miles, 9:24s, Ave HR 158 (the only time I crossed 170 - briefly - was running up a decent sized hill)

next 2 miles, 9:20s, Ave HR 163

next 2 miles, 9:11s, Ave HR 165

next 1 mile, 9:03, HR 171 (hit my 15, feeling great, sooo..)

final 1 mile, 8:44, HR 176 (finally crossed 180HR at about minute 2:28 of 2:29!!)

16 miles total, 2:29:13, 9:19 ave pace, 159 ave HR

As gruecd would say, I killed it!!

Honestly if I hadn't increased the pace like I did the last 4 miles I could have kept going with no trouble - I'd like to think I could have done 20 at 9:30s.

Tuesday will officially kick-off my 16 week marathon program for Tucson. 4 weeks until my first 20 miler. Woo-hoo!!

Wow, great weekend around here! Awesome reports, although I'm a bit partial to 2Young and his switchbacks and technical singletrack!

My last big run before the ultra this morning. I went to a new trail head adjacent to an area I've run before out at Pt. Reyes with 3 maps in my pocket and a plan to run at least 5 hours. Not as many hills as the 18 miler last weekend, but a couple pretty tough ones. Knocked out 24 miles by the time I made it back to my car, and if I hadn't had to hustle back to make a fantasy football draft, I'm pretty sure I would've done another 2.2 just to say I ran a marathon today!

Did it in just over 13:00/mile overall for 5:15 total, again ahead of my goal pace for the ultra, and that included picture stops, water refills, bathroom breaks, and eating. Tried out eating in the middle of a run, as I know I'll need more than GUs to be out there for 8-9 hours. I brought a turkey/mustard/pita sandwich, and ate half of it at about the 19 mile mark. No problems afterwards, so that was a good sign. Also threw down 6-7 electrolyte tabs, 5-6 GUs, 3 bottles of Heed, and another couple bottles of water....and lost 5 lbs!

Good confidence builder after a horrible late afternoon very hot 5-miler on Friday that had me questioning myself, now I'm feeling strong again.

I've often thought, if this thread was a book, it'd be flying off the shelves. The August 2009 Chapter is proving to be one of my favorites. I am up way too early for vacation as I can't change with a 2 hour time change and just had the feeling of "wow, how could you not stay motivated reading this stuff?"

Some of the August stuff I've found darn cool:

Getting to meet up and run with a crew from here was awesome.

A bunch of new runners to keep things fresh & new.

Gruecd's pursuit of Boston. My 40-year old body will never let me get to something like this, but I feel like I am "there" with evey step of the training and appreciate the passion and dedication of the trip back. AND, now Tri-Man is on his way too (hopefully) having a 25-year old's summer!

Wraith, great run this weekend and great month for you and reading your reports is awesome knowing the family first side of your break from running and "comeback" of sorts (plus, the addition of tri training).

The Ultra training reports. Duck, your story is so cool too. To come from the disappointment of them cutting your marathon out from under you (and losing your job & finding a new one), to then running a successful marathon, to being on track from an ultra in short succession, DAMN. Your reports, with the "where did you run today" photos awesome and make me wonder what the heck I am doing loiving in the rust belt (and I can look out the window right now and see the mountains that surrond Breckenridge). Now we've got PSL's pursuit of an ultra too.

The tri stuff has been great, with and awesome swimmer in Sand and an awesome cyclist in BNB becomming triathletes and helping to motivate me to get better at both swimming & the bike.

All of the above has changed my plans for the week and a 1/2 were out here from getting a bit fat and resting up, to finding a place to swim (wonder what a difference I'll feel at 9,000 foot plus altitude) and possibly running a 10K down in Denver on Saturday. And that is one more thing that I've loved about August's chapter, getting to post about my little triathletes. They want to swim and run with me too!!!

2Young: you nailed it. What a great month of racing and reports!!!!

Awesome to hear the race reports from Gruecd :lmao: , BnB (a finished tri is always an accomplishment), 2Young (my wife is smarter than me as well!) and Tri-Man (kicking the youngsters butts!).

Also, great runs by Wraith and Sand!! P.R.s in August are amazing!

My Update:

I managed to get my 12 mile run in, even with tired legs from my 50 mile ride and temps in the 80's with high humidity. For some crazy reason, my HR stayed much lower than I anticipated for the first 10 miles, then started escalating quickly the last 2 miles. I think the extra heat and my negative splits (each mile faster than the previous) caught up with me. I was close to red-lining in the last mile, as my HR got up to 184; which I'm a bit mad at myself for, as it was supposed to be a "just get the miles in" run; as I'm starting to taper for next Saturday's 102 mile race/ride with Culdeus (HH100). This week's goals are to get two quality runs in, and two ez rides in; while trying to shed a couple pounds to make up for the extra gear (mostly liquids!), I'll have on my bike.

Keep the stories coming!!!!!

I'm pretty much ready for next weekend. Did about 55 on Saturday and another 25 on Sunday which got cut short because of home issues.

My legs are fried as I haven't taken two days off in a row in nearly three weeks now if not more. Taking today off and will keep a 150bpm lid on my HR tuesday for 1 hr and then shut it down and maybe do a massage on thursday.

Weather looks like it won't be hot again. I sort of want it to be hot just to say that I've been there for a hot one, but the reality is the hottest day of the year is Aug 2, and by the end of August it's already getting much cooler. A 100+ degree day in late August is actually fairly uncommon. It felt pretty chilly at 6am on Saturday riding around.

Great to hear that you're ready; rest those legs! Weather.com has a high of 91 for Wichita Falls :lmao: (we haven't had a high that low since the beginning of June down here; and we are predicted to hit 100+ 5 of the next 10 days!!!!!!); with a 30% chance of rain; and winds at 11 MPH from the SE :excited: It's going to feel like winter for me!

Give me 11 from the NW any day, but whatever. It was 30 from dead south the first time I did it.

Awesome reports everyone...very inspirational!

I'm two weeks away from my 1/2. Sunday's long run called for 12 miles. I just wanted to get the miles in and run at a comfortable pace. So I rarely looked at my watch the entire run. Finished the 12 miles in 1:41:27....8:27/mile. My goal for the 1/2 is 1:45:00...8:00/mile. This run was a definite confidence booster for me and I'm very pleased with my training thus far!

Wow. Head out of town for a few days, and you miss A LOT!!!! Lots of great races, even more great training runs, and even some newcomers!!! It's shaping up to be a great fall racing season for the FBG crew!

Results are in, and our Ragnar team (Lower GI Tract Team) finished #8 of 216 teams overall and 2nd in the mixed open division. I'm a little bummed that we didn't win, but it's hard to be too upset over losing to a team that averaged 6:43 pace over 193 miles.

Lower back is a little sore today, but otherwise the body feels pretty good. Actually went out yesterday morning and ran an easy 6 miles around Lake Harriet & Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis with one of the girls from my team.

Added up my mileage from last week, and I ended up with almost 70 miles for the week, which is a BIG weekly mileage PR for me! Did some math, and I averaged 6:58 pace for my 20.54 miles during the relay! My times are consistently getting faster, and I'm starting to entertain thoughts of maybe shooting for 3:05 at Chicago. Don't know if it's the increased mileage or the fact that I'm carrying about five less pounds, but I was definitely much stronger than usual on the hills out there. I've got a half marathon coming up this weekend, and I'm waiting to see how my body feels before deciding whether or not I want to race it. Less than 7 weeks to Chicago!!!!!!! :excited:

Well said 2young. It has been great reading all the training and race reports this month.

For me it has been one of my best months of running yet. Not so much that I am putting in a ton of miles or have had some good races, but because I am back running again. July was an absolute mess and I had given up hope of finishing the first marathon I entered. Once I decided to give it 1 last chance and see how things went I have appreciated running so much more. I ran 14 miles on Saturday (longest run of my life) and it felt great. I felt better than I did after my 12 miler the week before. I am running slower than I was earlier this year, but have given up trying to gain speed until after the marathon is over. I will be adding 2 miles a week for the next 3 weeks to get a 20 miler in before I taper, I don't think I can afford to try to pick up the pace at the same time.

I was so happy to find 1 last pair of my trusty running shoes that have been upgrades. Those will be the shoes I run my marathon in, and I did not want to move on to the newest model of my shoe in case I did not respond well to them.

It has been a good month and I can not wait to run my 16 miler this week.

Hi all - been lurking for the last month or so. The thread has helped to inspire me to get back into running. My story: Used to run in the mid 90's and ran a half marathon (Indy) in 96. Got busy with work, wife, kids and just stopped. Occasionally tried to keep active, but if I'm completely honest with myself, I'm pretty much a tub of goo now. I was about 170-180 in 96 (I'm 5'11) and now I'm about 210-215 and I turn 40 in a month. So this week I started back up. I plan to run the half marathon at the Rock n Roll AZ in mid Jan. It seems like most of the training guides start assuming you have a decent base. I don't have that. I can go 30-35 min at a pretty slow pace (probably about 11min miles) with 2 (1 min) walk breaks - that's what I've done the last 4 days. Its still hot here (AZ) so I'm really looking forward to the cool early mornings in about a month.I've got 22 weeks to the half in January and I was planning on using Higdon's 12 week plan but going up and down the weeks a bit more like: 1,2,2,3,4,3... I figure I'll stretch his plan out to about 18 weeks and that gives me 4 weeks to try and establish a base. My goal for the half will be primarily to finish without walking. We'll see how the training goes before I establish a time goal. I want to be realistic and not over-do it because I'd like this to become a lifelong thing (said the guy who's 4 days into it...)I guess my question is: What does a good start-up program look like? Assume that I'm really out of shape - get winded walking up 3-4 flights of stairs and am at least 20-25 pounds heavy. Should I just be looking to get in 30 min of activity or should I target 3 miles no matter how long it takes? How many days a week should I run to build up a base?Any thoughts for a complete newbie would be appreciated.
WelcomeWhere in Az are you? I am N of Tucson.
Thanks for rolling out the welcome wagon. I'm in norther part of Phoenix (Peoria to be exact). One week in. I've been running about a 2.8m loop. Haven't concerned myself with time too much yet or if I need to walk. Don't want to kill myself and make it so bad that I dread it. I've been running early morning to combat the heat, but it still seems hot/muggy at 6 with low 80's temps. Ran Tues-Friday last week, swam laps 25 min on Sat and rested on Sunday. This morning completed the loop with no walking breaks.

Its still hot here (AZ) so I'm really looking forward to the cool early mornings in about a month.

I've got 22 weeks to the half in January and I was planning on using Higdon's 12 week plan but going up and down the weeks a bit more like: 1,2,2,3,4,3... I figure I'll stretch his plan out to about 18 weeks and that gives me 4 weeks to try and establish a base. My goal for the half will be primarily to finish without walking. We'll see how the training goes before I establish a time goal. I want to be realistic and not over-do it because I'd like this to become a lifelong thing (said the guy who's 4 days into it...)

I guess my question is: What does a good start-up program look like? Assume that I'm really out of shape - get winded walking up 3-4 flights of stairs and am at least 20-25 pounds heavy. Should I just be looking to get in 30 min of activity or should I target 3 miles no matter how long it takes? How many days a week should I run to build up a base?

Any thoughts for a complete newbie would be appreciated.
 That had to feel great. It does feel hot when it is in the 80's no matter what time of day it is. 5 months now it will be your turn to laugh at us northerners as we try to run when it is in the 10's.

That is an awesome area for a tri. We spent a week there back when the resort was still owned by Fairfield (did the full Chimney Rock hike, etc). You should destroy the bike portion with a few extra miles over the last one you did and, as I recall, there isn't a piece of flat land anywhere around there and there were some huge hills on either side of the downtown area. There was a great bar right by the boat launch on the south side of the lake. I say go for it.

2500 yard swim this afternoon. Best part was the last 1000 were all crawl!!! I may have finally gotten relaxed in the water. No idea on the time.

Great! For your tri's, I think it will be less about going faster and more about exiting stronger so that you can use your skill on the bike. Building the swim endurance should help with that. We can work on the running next summer.

You just need to make an Asheville - Chicago - Birmingham - Asheville circuit. I can get you down to 1:30/100 in the swim and Grue can get you to 6:50/mile. Then you will rule the world. (Muhuhahahahahaha....)

If you guarantee the 1:30/100 I'm up for a road trip.

Anyone else seeing anything like this being hawked after their tris? Seems like for what you're getting, a dollar would be a fairer price. Here's a better idea for a training report. That isn't anything that couldn't be done in 15 minutes in excel. Now I'd pay an extra $10 if they were to give you GPS chips instead of just plain timing chips. That'd be cool.

 You got that right! If you swing through Wisconsin for gruecd run training, be sure to stop in Chicago and teach me how to ride a bike. ---Good 10 mile run this morning with several hills.

Great pic's BnB, and nice run Tri-man. I had an ez 6 mile run this morning with temp's UNDER 80 degrees (77-79) as I'm in taper mode (though I never really went into training mode, so I'm not sure what you call it). First mile at 8:49 with each mile at least :10 faster than the previous; last two miles at 7:55 and 7:38. I'm less than an hour from being done with my run and I'm already done sweating (first time in a long time!).

Scam? Sure. Would I fork over 10-bucks for it? Likely :bag: I am a sucker for things like this that fill my need for information overload.Pool swam 1,500 yards yesterday at 9,600 ft of altitude. :lmao: :X :lmao: It was a bit of an odd feeling. I felt very light in the water (and fast), but figuring out the breathing was tough at first. I struggled to do a 500 warm up as I could not breathe at all. After a short break, I slowed down and got through a straight 1,000 with relative ease. I altered my stroke a bit to reach longer to get a bigger breath. It'll be real interesting to see what benefits I realize when I get back home to flat land.

Very nice run - the only good thing about running in the dog days of summer is how good it feels when the heat and humidity start to go away! Excellent run to Tri-man and very nice swim to 2B as well!!

1 mile warm-up/cool-down, then 3 x 1600 = 7:25, 7:23, 7:29 (on a 7:27 goal). 1 minute RI between 1 & 2, and 2 minute RI between 2 & 3 (just needed that extra minute this morning). The last repeat on my speedwork always seems impossible right before I start it - guess that means I'm pushing myself at about the right pace.
Did the same workout this morning, but took 90 seconds between mile repeats: 7:25, 7:04, 6:58 I coasted at the end of the 2nd repeat (7:04) because I knew I was WAY under my 7:27 goal pace and wanted to make sure I could push #3.

I am almost positive that this is the first time I've ever run a sub-7 mile. Let alone after 3 miles of effort!!

Confidence is continuing to build...

Wow that is fast.

Looking for something to train for in the fall. Anyone got any ideas? My workouts consist of sprint workouts, lifting (five-six days/week), volleyball, and basketball.

I was struggling doing more than two sprint workouts/week for a few weeks, but just did back to back days of them on the heels of back to backs Friday and Saturday. I think I've increased the strength in my knees, back, and calves enough to do them more frequently. Next step, new shoes. Both of my pairs are getting a little thin, hopefully next month.

Nice run, pigskin. Refresh my memory--what race are you training for??

That's awesome, wraith! Sounds like things are really starting to click for you! Why don't I remember what race you're doing, either?! ------------------------------------

Me? Apparently I'm still in "Ragnar mode," because I ended up going way faster than I should've gone on my 8-miler last night. It's tough getting out of racing mode!!! Was supposed to do some 600M intervals, but I skipped 'em because of all the racing I did this past weekend and because I'm doing some track work with the running club on Wed night.

An 11-miler on tap for tonight, but my lower back/piriformis muscles have been REALLY sore the last couple of days, so I'm going to play it by ear. Haven't had a rest day in over a week, so maybe that's what my body needs. We'll see.

Have a great day, everybody!!!

That is scorching. Nice job! Sounds like you could do sub 21:00 in a 5K if you wanted. That's kind of my long-term goal.

Saw you are in Ohio, how close are you to Michigan? If you are close to 23 (or 75 for that matter) there are some AWSEOME trail races this fall. Let me know if you are interested and I'll post a few.

Post them. I live in Cleveland, but am a Michigan fan and want to make a game this season and have some plans with some buddies near Toledo to hit Greektown sometime this fall too. Maybe I can make a trip and incorporate all three...with the run first of course.
