daveGP, your mileage has been increasing, albeit slowly. It does raise the possibility for both of you that your feet haven't fully adjusted to your mileage. Check your history ...have you given yourself a rest period? Also, do you take some time to stretch out the feet and ankles? One good trick is to sit on the edge of the bed in the a.m. and just roll your feet around, angle your feet up/out and down/in, and 'stretch' the toes.
