19:41 for Steve's 25K.
ooh, a fair amount of drop-off, and this is before Newton. C'mon Steve!!!
:sadbanana: Hope he's alright. 30K - 22:46

Grue is steady Eddie @ 22:01 25K.

Jux @ 22:08 25K. Hold on, GB. :football:
22:41 for grue (adding seconds, remember).

SteveC and gruecd still on pace for a Boston PR, though Steve's time dropoff is worrisome.

Juxt on pace for a marathon PR!

Steve's having a bad day and still will break 3 hours at Boston. That's one talented and fast guy.

25:14 for Jux over the last 5k. At the 35k mark. Anyone know where that falls on the course? Is HBH behind him?

I think so. Never run the race but the announcers were saying the hills were miles 16-20. 35K is 21+ miles in. I think 30-35k is the toughest 5k and likely where HBH is

DO IT!Post updates on your training runs. Everyone's here to help.
Roger that. Have a 5k "course" through my neighborhood mapped out with some nice hills and such. I have the Couch to 5k app and it seemed a bit... aggressive for day 1... 1 min jogging / 1.5min aggressive walking rotation for a starting point? Seem right? I'm not exactly a huge guy and I play a good bit of kickball/softball but I was sucking wind hard halfway through the schedule. Went out 2 days later and just did my own thing running when I could for as long as I could then walked till i got my wind back. ETA: this was really my 2nd time ever "running/jogging" for any distance... finished around 35 mins... with about 60% walking I'd guess. Also I have a hard time just slow jogging... GF tells me "That's not jogging, that's running!". I try to "jog" and it just sucks... feels totally un natural. someone said something about a natural stride/pace and it's tough to fight. Problem is I don't have the wind to maintain it for very long yet. Looking for feedback here. TIA.

Workhorse and Wilked still hanging strong. Long day for these guys. 1pm and they still have a 1/3 of the way to go. Usually you would be into your first cold one by now.
