I left the music at home and it was actually a peaceful run and enjoyed the sounds of the neighborhood.
Next step is actually waking up for a run before work (leave at 5:30am) since I bet it's a very similar experience.
It's similar in the morning. I enjoy early weekend runs into the Chicago neighborhoods just to see the city waking up. Stop shaking your head, SFDuck. Duck, I will say on my long run on Sunday, while running half of it on a (paved) trail through a forest preserve, I passed one large buck chillin' in the woods 10 feet off the path; a doe grazing just a foot off the path as I passed by; and another spot where a doe and a spotted fawn waited for me to pass before they crossed over as though it were a four-way stop.
, that is awesome news. I have four kids and wish I had more. Kids are great!!!
Running shorts have liners for a reason. Glad to hear you're okay, Eephus -- scary.
Had a great 10 mile trail run with a local group this morning. Suckex of around 148, was a sweaty mess 1 mile in, felt like we were running in a shower the rest of the way.
