Randy Moss (1 Viewer)

Even though he hasn't practiced all month? If not, who are your other options.

I currently have him starting, but I'm not real confident about it. My other options are Berrian or James Jones

I'm leaning towards Berrian in place of Moss, even though Berrian has a bad matchup.

WHo else is starting Moss, or who is benching him in favor of who?

I don't have a good feeling about it this week, but want to see what everyone else is thinking.

On one team I am real weak at WR so I amstarting him. My only other options are Matt Jones, Troy Williamson, or Derrick Mason. Unless I'm able to pick someone up at the rookie/FA draft tonight. I agree though, I am real worried he'll throw up a goose egg.

He's on one of my teams. I'm currently not starting him.

I don't expect much out of Patriots camp one way or the other this weekend so it will most likely stay that way.

I avoided him like the plague. I hate having to sit and wait all morning on Sunday to see if a player is playing or not. Moss and Chrissy Brown are not on my roster.

I drafted Moss in the 5th round as my 3rd WR, but I'm going to sit him in favor of Jerry Porter vs Lions

I think Moss will have some great games this year, but something about him not practicing for a month makes me think that Coach BB will limit the number of times his number is called.

FWIW, I DO believe he's going to play this week.

I am up in the air about Moss, I have several other options (Evans, Driver, Ward, Curry) so I think I might play it safe this week and go with some others until I see what his deal is.

If he plays, he'll have a huge game. That said, he looks to be a giant ? going in. So unless I hear he's fully healthy and a sure thing (which, with Belichick, is not very likely), I'll be starting Ronnie Brown instead.

I think you and I share the same WR's cuz I have the same decision. I have BB, James Jones, Brandon Marshall, and Mike Williams on the bench. I am starting Moss week one , I am not excited at all about the bears offence week one. I have a funny feeling Brady is going to be looking for him especially around the end zone! Only time will tell, good luck with your decision!!!

Is it September 2006 already?

Look, there is a decent chance that Moss will return to form and be a stud WR this year, but I just don't see why you'd start him in week 1 unless you are really really hurting at WR. There are probably 40 players I'd start over him at this point.

If we hear clear good news about him before the game (unlikely given it's the Pats), I might change my mind, but for now I'm sitting him in the two leagues where I have him.

When is the last time that either of these predictions have been warranted:"If Randy Moss plays, he'll have a huge game""If <insert Pats WR> plays, he'll have a huge game"As a general rule, it is foolish to start any non-uberstud (i.e. top 5) WR over any starting RB in Flex. IMO you'd be bonkers to sit Ronnie Brown for Randy, and I am not at all bullish on Brown.

I am almost positive one of these guys will do better though, probably welker  (yea I have way to many #3/4 receivers on my team)

Probably not warranted by any real logic. Just a gnawing feeling in my gut . . .

Start him.

Losing your first game of the fantasy season really blows. You shouldn't be benching Moss for anybody less than Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson or Steve Smith. Starting Curry over Moss is just insane, and yet funny at the same time.

not on the injury report eh.....I'm starting him no question. If I lose week 1 because of it I can live with myself.

I plan on starting him. I find it hard to believe he isn't healthy enough to play by now. NE is infamous for playing games with the injury report. I'm not taking the bait.

WHat about starting Curtis over him.

Dying to start Randy, but I'm currently struggling on what to do. Right now I'm leaning towards starting Santonia Holmes over him. As others have said, BB is so damned cryptic, but if we get some sort of word that Randy will be at or close to 100% I'll probably switch back.

he's not listed on the report, so if BB was to leave him inactive, he would likely be fined. Plus, Moss went in front of the media today after practice, second day in a row, so he must be feeling good.

Oh I have no doubt he'll be active. I'm meaning whether he's in there in a limited role or not. Not that I have to tell you or others on this board, but it royally sucks when you start someone and they end up being limited while you have a pretty decent option on your bench. I'll have to be feeling VERY confident in that he won't be limited to start him.

Between questions about his health, his production/interest level/declining abilities, the depth of the WRs corps on the team, and the historic WRs numbers in that offense, I wouldn't start him.

I'm not trying to be condescending, but I feel sorry for all you Moss owners. I really do. I have had this overrated has-been on my squad several times, and he's never dependable for anything but erratic production and post-season disappointment. Good luck.

ok now I am staring henderson I think :)

Oh, man I can't stand players that are on the merry-go-round all year. Chris Brown was the same way a couple of years back and it drove me nuts.

I avoided this guy like the plague.

So, your stance hasn't changed since lunch yesterday then, eh.

Very similar to Moss himself. The same information will come in here every single day. On Sunday there will be a thread going about Moss with a game of ping-pong of starting/not starting starting not/starting to the brink of insanity. Then there will be the crying thread with half of the Moss owners banging there head against a wall and the other half doing the pickle dance.

I'm starting him. Without any foundation, I believe Moss has merely been kept under wraps by NE in an abundance of caution and so they can spring Moss on a week 1 opponent who might be underestimating him. I think Belichick wants to stick it to Mangini and getting Moss in the action is a mean to that end.
