Game 1 Wilson- Verlander

Game 2 Holland- Porcello

Game 3 Lewis- Fister

Game 4 Harrison- Sherzer

Advantage to the Tigers in starting pitching, with the Rangers having the better bullpen. lol at anyong thinking Harrison, Colby Cheese or the other guy are better than Scherzer, that is pretty entertaining. Hitting is pretty much the same, maybe a very slight advantage to the Rangers. These are the 5th and 6th biggest media markets in the AL, I think the ratings will be fine.

Tigers have owned the Rangers the past few years and I think it continues here. Tigers in five.
Enjoy the OU win. Rangers going to take Tigers down. Rangers in 5.

Come on Rangers!!!
Brutal. ;) Was waiting for Valverde to give up a big hit!

I hope Benoit is ready to pitch a ton again tomorrow. It looks like Leyland only trusts him and Valverde.

I guess you missed the 7th inning today.ETA: you are mostly right though, but he trusts Coke some

It does seem like the Tigers need Verlander to pitch at least 8 tomorrow.
They probably won't use Benoit one way or the other. The only way Verlander is coming out is if Texas is way up or if he goes over 125 pitches. He might bring in Valverde for the ninth, maybe Benoit for a batter or two.

I saw the 7th. I will send you a five dollar bill if Al Al throws one more pitch in an important situation the rest of the series.
If they go to extras again before Sunday, he'll pitch. Tomorrow Verlander and not much else. If Scherzer is good game 6, then Scherzer, Coke, Benoit and Valverde and that's about it. Game 7 everyone including Verlander if it goes extras. If the Tigers could mount any kind of offense I think they'd have a shot at coming back but they would need to get a lead in every game to avoid the Texas bullpen. Also the grand slam the other night meant very little IMO, most overrated HR maybe ever hit with no outs and Rick Perry on the mound. The one tonight was an atom bomb, which may sound strange since the Rangers had just taken the lead. Basically a fly ball off Perry had the same result, tonight was a road homer of epic proportions. Cruz has always been under the radar IMO, he's quite a fine player (big bat, huge arm).

I'm just glad Leyland over pitched his closer. Rangers pitching and hitting is too dominate for the Tigers to match.

Wouldn't bet on it. He's really fallen in the postseason. 13 IP with 8 earned runs / 7 walks / 1 W and 2 LEven in the win he gave up 4 earned runsHe's pitched 8 innings once since first of August

Are you going to accept my prediction or avoid it like usual? ;)FYI: went in with cousin this year for season tix to Rangers ;)Are you going to root for the Rangers in the World Series?

Like your Yankees prediction you mean? I doubt you've ever been to a baseball game. They have one more game to win, like I said, you aren't very good at counting. ;)

Pretty much had season tickets growing up in Houston and on and off Rangers since they moved to Arlington. So should I come back after the game tomorrow and repost "Rangers in 5", will that make you happier? ;) Series is over, and even Ver hasn't looked good in postseason.

Benoit and Valverdes arms are going to fall off as much as Leyland is using them, hes really putting himself in a hole by using them so much. I know the siutaions have dictated some of that. Nice to see Al Al bounce back and get out of that jam, maybe he will get some more work. Texas bullpen does look deep and appears to be an advantage.

Is Verlander really as gassed as I am reading today? I know he has pitched a ton of innings but I thought Leyland was treating him with kid gloves when it comes to him getting full rest.

He threw the most innings in MLB this year, he's tired like anyone who has thrown 260+ innings in today's game.

Let's hope he gets a long rest after tonight, several months in fact.

Don't want to mess with a good thing, but why not throw this lineup out there tonight?

1. Kinsler

2. Young

3. Napoli

4. Cruz

5. Hamilton

6. Beltre

7. Murphy

8. Andrus

9. Moreland

45 thru 3 is not great, but not horrid from verlander.
Is 45 through 3 great for Wilson? Sheesh, let it go a couple innings before trying to analyze.
PC is wayyyyy more important for verlander.
The man is actually a horse. MPH rises in late innings. Not worried about his pitch count. Only thing that can get in his way is himself....mentally.
Leyland will let him go 130.

By 130 pitches we can expect at least 115mph right?

Yes. Prepare to see Verlander actually tear Avila's hand off of his forearm today.Leyland will let him go 130.

Prepare yourself to see a pitch rip Avila's forearm off today.
