Rank the 12 playoff teams in the order you'd like to see them win (1 Viewer)

Was curious what the collective rooting interest might be in terms of the order you'd prefer the teams in terms of winning the Super Bowl is (or alternately who you'd least like to win the Super Bowl in inverted order) :)

Here's my preference, most preferred to least:

1. Seahawks for the sheer hilarity of it all.

2. Chiefs

3. Patriots

4. Saints

5. Falcons

6. Bears

7. Eagles

8. Ratbirds, er Ravens

9. Packers

10. Colts

11. Steelers

12. Jets

-QG

Curious why you have the Pats so high when you have the other two schlubs top two. Pats are a double digiter for me in this ranking list.

I want any of these teams to win. They either haven't won in decades or ever. Seeing the same old teams like the Pats win again won't do anything for me

Seahawks

Chiefs

Falcons

Eagles

Jets

2. Saints

3. Falcons

9. Seahawks (only this low because I don't want to see a 7-9 team win it)

10. Patriots

11. Steelers

I'll offer my own rationales later perhaps, but I'm really just generally interested in the patterns, especially by fan base :goodposting:

Honestly, I just want anyone but the Patriots. Will be rooting for the Saints and the winner of Eagles/Packers.

Charger fan here...

1. Steelers -- my brothers are huge Steeler fans, we root for each other when our (my) teams are out

2. Eagles -- because the Vick haters would explode

3. Saints -- still a cool story, still love Drew

4. Packers -- classic franchise

5. Bears -- same reason (though I hate Cutler's face so this is tough)

6. Falcons -- meh, would be cool I suppose

7. Colts -- Peyton has his ring already

8. Seahawks -- would be a black eye on the league

9. Ravens -- hate Ray Lewis

10. Jets -- too many Jet fans at work, plus it would be tough to watch LT win with another team

11. Chiefs -- division rival

12. Patriots -- the devil

1. Falcons (Tony Gonzalez deserves a ring. They also have Thomas DeCoud)2. Packers (Rodgers+Desmond Bishop)3. Seahawks (Lynch, Forsett, Cameron Morrah)4. Eagles (Desean)After that I don't care much.

Falcons (20-1 for the SB 13-1 for the NFC)

Ravens (15-1 for the SB 9-1 for the AFC)

Packers (14-1 for the SB 8-1 for the NFC)

I could care less about the rest.

I bet those three in my vegas futures which I do every year. 2 from the AFC and 2 from the NFC for both the conference and the Super Bowl and my rule is they must be 8-1 or higher to be considered for the conference and 10-1 or higher for the Super Bowl. I have won 4 out of the last 10 Super bowls doing this and 6 straight Conference champs (it's luck but I handicapp this and place the bets right after the 3rd pre-season games for all teams). My other AFC team this year was the Houston Texans at 30-1

My team is the lowly Miami Dolphins whom I do place a very small token wager on each and every year (and have for the last 15 years sigh).

Out of all of these teams I hope The Falcons go all the way. They started my futures additcion when they won the NFC in 99 and i had them at Ceasars 30-1 for a c-note. I remember it well, when they finished the 98 season winning like 6 or 7 in a row and felt they were headed in the right direction. When Anderson missed that kick for Minny in the 99 NFC title game I just about passed out from the elation.

I rarely bet football week to week anymore....no need to. Just root for my teams that have futures on them. Been playing on house money since 99. Really it's just been amazing luck. had the Saints last year at 20-1, The Steelers the year before at 15-1. even landed the Pat's coming off their 2002 9-7 year in 2003 at 15-1. Rebound plays. same for the Steelers who had a sub par year in 2007 then go on to win in 2008.

Sorry to get off topic and ramble...but WTF.

1. Seattle (second favorite team)

2. Atlanta (big fan of Roddy and Gonzalez deserves a ring)

3. Pittsburgh (love Ben and Wallace)

4. Green Bay (Rodgers is one of my favorite players to watch)

5. Indianapolis (so Peyton can get closer to Brady in the debate)

6. Philadelphia (those fans deserve it, and they're exciting to watch)

7. Kansas City (no strong feelings towards them)

8. Baltimore (see KC)

9. New Orleans (won it last year and dislike Sean Payton)

10. Chicago (overrated)

11. NY Jets (dislike the team, don't mind Rex though)

12. New England (HATE!!!)

This is actually something that I'm interested in doing myself. I've never bet on football in my life and not really sure how to to be honest. I'll be down in Vegas for a week on Feb. 1st and was thinking of dropping $20 on the Super Bowl just for the hell of it. Any tips for a first time bettor?

Lol.. Saw that coming a mile away...

I absolutley nailed the Bengals season at least :fishing:

1. Falcons2-12: Really can't say I care about any team higher or lower than any other.
The fact that you don't care if a division rival wins two Super Bowls in a row seems really weird to me. Not good or bad, just weird. I can't imagine an AFC East or North or NFC East fan not caring if a division rival won back to back Super Bowls. As a Skins fan, I can't imagine many things in sports that would be worse than the Cowboys, Eagles or Giants winning two straight. Gotta say I kind of envy you. I wish I didn't care.

Well if your going to be Vegas during the Super Bowl (great time I have done that 2 times in my life and it's a blast) you should look over all the proposition bets the day before. Forget the "who wins the coin toss" BS (yeah yeah you have a 50/50 shot winning that) that is clueless. But look over more passing yards, more rushing yards, odds for game MVP etc. There are some fun props so you can root for certain players....kinda make it a fantasy like game for yourself. Be prepared to lose most of them but pick the ones with good value and a decent shot at winning. For example if the Super Bowl has the Falcons vs the Patriots and you can bet Matt Ryan will have more TD passes than Brady and get odds like bet 100 to win 120 you take that bet beucase then the opposite if you bet Brady might be bet 100 to win 80. Things like that. And of course game MVP is a fun one, who will have more recpetions Roddy White or Wes Welker...more rushing yards, Ben Jarvis or Michael Turner....that kind of stuff. Or if a field bet is there for 8-1 or 10-1 (betting that none of the big name players win the MVP) that is always a fun bet.But the game itself is wher you lay down the real cash. PM me when we know the Super Bowl teams and I would be happy to give you my betting opinion.

7-9 don't care

10. Steelers left over hate from Oiler days

11. Jets don't mind the team, but I've been to a couple games and have never seen more classless fans..cheering injuries, jack ### dressed as a Fireman, just a horrible game day experience

12. Colts not a Peyton hater, but tired of getting our asses kicked by them...and the resting the starters during the perfect season so we had to keep seeing the Dolphins pop the bottle of champagne thing

1) Steelers

2) Falcons - lived 3 years in ATL and have some friends that would be pretty happy with an ATL SB win

3) Seattle - just because I think it would be funny

4) Saints - Hard to not like Drew Brees

5) Green Bay - great NFL franchise. And I like Rodgers

6) Indy - Peyton should probably have more than 1 ring

7) KC - pretty neutral on KC and Chicago. Could probably flip them

8) Chicago - KC gets the nod just because Cutler is annoying

9) Jets - hard for me to like Rex Ryan

10) Eagles - Philly...nuff said

11) Ravens - Don't want to watch Ray Lewis doing that stupid dance coming out of the tunnel.

12) Patriots. Brady, Belichick... :lmao:

Anyone but the Patriots, Steelers or Colts and I am happy. I am so tired of the NFL kissing those teams butts that it dang near makes me want to quit watching every year. Big Ben is a rapist and they praise him like a god. How does that work?

I would LOVE to see the Falcons pull this out.

Impressive memory then. The marginal value of the Steelers winning again is less than that of Jets winning in my lifetime (or even appearing in the Super Bowl for that matter - they haven't). It's exciting to see your team in the Super Bowl while it's taking place live, but thankfully most Jets fans don't know from that :o -QG

I'll probably tally this all up at some point at the end of the week - for those who listed 12. Listing less than 12 is not the point of the exercise. The "pick-your-poison" element is an important component.

I guess you missed the Steelers getting flagged and/or fined every time they touched a QB this year.

No I saw it, but every defensive player was getting hit with those. The only reason we heard about this was that Harrison got a couple fines and threatened to take his ball and go home. For the record I also saw the refs give the Steelers the Super Bowl against the Seahawks. That offensive pass interference in the endzone was one of the worst calls in history and would suggest that every single pass in the NFL requires a pass interference on either the defensive or offensive player.I'm guessing you don't agree, but that is what is great about sports. We each see one play very differently. I hate the Steelers because I perceive the NFL giving them too many calls where you, perhaps, see them being targeted unfairly. Ain't it great?

If they're good enough to win 4 games against actual teams that "deserve" to be in the playoffs, wouldn't that be proof that the division winner system works perfectly?

I never said they were targeted at all. I think officials just make bad calls. Sometimes they go for your team, other times they go against your team.

I want to see the Saints win it all, and if it can't be them I'd love to see the Chiefs do it. Other than that I don't really care just as long as its exciting
