FBG cheatsheet has BigBen at #20 QB this week. I'm trying to understand this, but I'm having a hard time buying it. Let's give a slight downgrade due to the fact that Holmes is not playing. Nate Washington has proved to be a serviceable back up. Ward and Miller are both playing to my knowledge. It's a Monday night game and they're calling for rain. Big Ben threw 5 TD's in the first half the last time he played on Monday night in wet weather a few short weeks ago. Couple that with the fact that Ben has been a virtual lock for top 10 rankings all season, and I am utterly confused.

Anybody see it this way?

It makes zero sense.I could see a downgrade, but #20?

Yes. I do. A potentially sloppy field will help slow down a pass rush and take a step away from the secondary. Pass blocking has been the Steelers' achilles heel this year, but in this case I see the weather as a bonus for Pitt's passing game. I also believe Parker is not a bad weather back. His footing is questionable on good surfaces and unless they unleash Davenport, I don't see the running game being overly effective even against the Dolphins. I'm expecting 3-4 TDs from Ben myself.

I dont look at QB rankings anymore. They are the hardest to predict and a rarely correct... I have been playing J Campbell who isnt in the top 25 alot of weeks. If i would have went with the rankings i wouldnt be at 8-3. He has been solid in a 2QB league.Alot of ther scrubs get more credit. Ben is a must start unless you have Brady Favre Manning... Does not matter who they play. Play them

The ranking from QB's 5 - 20 are really insignificant as far as projections.

Big Ben may or may not have a great fantasy game?

I'm sticking with him!

Well said.

I too stopped looking so much at the rankings especially since some of them have consistently ranked Vince Young or Alex Smith higher than 20 each week.

On one site Kolby Smith isn't in the top 32 versus the Oakland Defense. :wall:

they are playing miami, who has a terrible run defense

add the bad weather, missing holmes, and i dont think ben throws it more than 15 times

its not that ben will not play well, but the steelers will not have much reason to be throwing the ball very often

I benched him in my start 2 qb league for Schaub and Anderson as I am expecting a lot of td's thrown in that game. Hard to sit Ben though, but I have a feeling that the Stillers will be up a bunch, and in the second half it will be run-run-run.
