Ray Lewis? (1 Viewer)

First off, I think Lewis looked great last night. He blew up blockers and didn't make any mistakes.

However, he was not given a few tackles he made and not given credit for a pd on the hit on Keller at the end of the game and ended up with a 4-0 statline.

That tied for the most solo tackles on the team because of the limited opportunities. The Raven's Offense destroyed the time of possession and the Jets couldn't convert a 3rd down.

My question is, are the Ravens going to have one of those years where they don't have many opportunites or was this game just an anomly because the Jets offense was so bad? Should I grab a less talented player on the WW who is on a worse defense and has a better opportunity for tackles?

I looked the last 2 seasons and Lewis had just 4 solos in the opening games in '08 and '09 and still finished with 117 tackles and 134.

Thanks.

This killed me last week. Was wondering the same thing about the pd. He made a great play but didn't get credit for it in IDP land... do you have to actually touch the ball and bat it down to get credit for a pd?

Generally yes, the defender needs to deflect the ball or possibly knock the receivers arms or something to cause a drop.

this is very common Ray was robbed alot last year!!! seems like even when at home he doesnt get the assist even when he is all over the ball carrier. some misses are expected but ones that are obvious and replayed on the megatron piss me off, no reason the stats guy cant simple correct his mistake on the spot.

I have seen Lewis, and other defenders, get credit for a PD when they deliver a big hit on a player who has the ball hit their hands. But the Jets scorekeeper was very stingy and only gave 1 pd for the entire Ravens team.

Lewis seemed to not get credit for 3 tackles by my count last Monday. Most notably the one when he took on the Terminator and made the tackle on Greene.

bump.......

I need to start 2 Linebackers and i have the following

Ray Lewis @ CIN

Rolando McClain @ STL

Clay Matthews @ BUF

Brian Orakpo @ HOU

Is he playing tomorrow?
I think he is playing. All the articles on the Baltimore Sun seem to point at it. He practiced all week, said he "Was good" when asked about his foot, and did a 30 minute podcast with Rich Eisen earlier in the week in which he mentioned no injury and was discussing this weekend's game. I also found this from Ray's twitter and facebook accounts:"Time to get some rest, Got some business to take care of tomorrow. Pray for everyone on both sides of the field. 1 luv... RL52"
