Yes.not a glazer fan but he is right

Every time I watch the video and see how annoyed he was when the woman he knocked out wouldn't wake up the more disgusted I get.
Rice is not concerned like "oh my god i over reacted and knocked her out" he is annoyed.
oh yeah rostered vick too for many yearsthat dependssooooooooooooooo is he dropable this minute in redrafts????
if he plays are you happy with him on your team in spite of this video?
I have him on three of my rosters as part of my WR/TE heavy draft strategy.that dependssooooooooooooooo is he dropable this minute in redrafts????

I agree with your view that Rice will step down.Ray Rice could do the classy thing and step down for the year, check in to anger management, work with abused women, rehab his image and maybe come back next year.
fair enoughI have him on three of my rosters as part of my WR/TE heavy draft strategy.that dependssooooooooooooooo is he dropable this minute in redrafts????

I'm not dropping him, and if he starts somewhere and produces, I'll start him. This is fantasy football. If we didn't draft, own, start, etc, players who did things we disagree with morally we'd never be competitive. Ray Rice receives exactly zero of anything in any way because I have him on my roster instead of somebody else. Let's not throw reason and logic out the window here.
I mean, if you personally dont want him on your team, more power to you. But somebody will.
things are different when you see them with your own eyesWhen we all saw the video of her being lifless originally, did we think he soft punched her? I'm a tad lost here. I thought we all knew he punched her and knocked her out, (even though I think the fall may have knocked her out) am I the only one that imagined he punched the crap out of her from the beginning?

Yeah, that doesn't pass the smell test. Or Goodell is incompetent/lacks judgment. Elements of both options probably have a hint of truth here.I find it hard to believe that the NFL and the ravens didn't see this video until today. Yet TMZ gets their mitts on it? lol yeah ok.

I think we were lead to believe that he pushed her by accident and that she actually hit her head on the railing to cause her to be knocked out (althought this part is still true). That and the fact that she didn't press charges, the DA didn't pursue charges, she eventually married him, and they both met with Godell made it seem less of a big deal than it was. When we all saw the video of her being lifless originally, did we think he soft punched her? No, I'm with you. I was really surprised there wasn't more talk of a release when the original video came to light. But seeing it actually go down definitely has a bigger impact than inferring it, so I'm also not surprised this has really crystallized the outrage that a lot of casual observers have probably had in the back of their minds, waiting for a trigger like this. Plus, this also clears any ambiguity for anyone who was inclined to give Rice some benefit of the doubt as to what went down. When we all saw the video of her being lifless originally, did we think he soft punched her? Think it comes down to actually seeing it. Say you are Rice's fiancees father...you can imagine what occurred in that elevator and be enraged. But I think it would produce a completely different and almost unmanageable reaction if he saw it.When we all saw the video of her being lifless originally, did we think he soft punched her? I was wondering the same thing. It was all over youtube...I'm not stating my opinion on the domestic violence against women. Just here to see if anyone besides me saw this video months ago?
Agree; I also wonder how long a copy of that full video has been available to the NFL and the Ravens. Don't see him getting cut. There's so much going on with the start of the season and such, this will likely be swept under the carpet by the league and nobody will be talking about it in a few days. When we all saw the video of her being lifless originally, did we think he soft punched her? DA indicted him on a felony charge. DA agreed to a plea deal to a lesser charge - which is similar to what any first-time offender might have gotten.
Ravens won't cut him unless the players on the team want him out.
Its an interesting phenomenon with people thinking he should be "fired". It is clearly a natural reaction when we see someone guilty of a crime - but is it really a fair outcome? Because, presumably if you want someone fired from their job, you must also think he does not deserve to work anywhere - or are there certain jobs where it is acceptable to hit women? So, do we really think people lie Rice are not allowed to work anywhere?
FYI this is a parody account.Skip Bayless @FunSkipBayless 1m
Everyone is expecting the Ravens to cut Ray Rice. I don't know about that. This is the same team who housed a murderer for 10+ years.
So there's that.
Not going to go into the Vick incident b/c there is a whole laundry list of legal issues there, I don't even recall what the NFL did in terms of punishment against Vick, if there was any. But I thought the leniency was afforded to Rice b/c of his relatively clean sheet? Add to that alcohol was at play, both Rice and his fiancee reconciled, the DA was not pursuing anything further, and Rice was taking classes it's why something more strict was not levied. This, and Vick served his time to society as the law requires him. He was convicted, and paid his dues. I have no problem with someone who has served their punishment seeking gainful employment once again, regardless if they were in a mechanic or football player. Not to diminish dogs or any animals for that matter, I'm a dog lover myself.... but our society values humans >>> animals. Just stating the truth.VickYea sounds like its inevitable now...Ray Ray might have played his last down...no NFL team will risk the PR nightmare of signing him..Not really sure what they are waiting for. Is Ozzy out of the country?Wow, Ravens might release him!
The issue here is that Rice got a minor slap on the wrist for a horrific incident.
E - To make it clear I do not condone what Vick did, but have little issue with him being in the league after serving his time. Rice hasn't served his time by any stretch of the imagination.
He got exactly what anyone, never previously convicted of a crime of any type, would for a first time DV offense.Thanks....did he get anything for it except a slap on the wrist?Link?I think we were lead to believe that it was an accident and that she actually hit her head on the railing to cause her to be knocked out. I think that in a sport that is violent by nature anyone who blurs the lines and lets violence flood into the real world needs to be treated harshly. I think when you are an employee as high profile and public as all NFL players are things that you do have a greater impact than when an anonymous broom pusher does the same thing. That does not make the broom pusher any less wrong, but less visible. When someone so visible does something so wrong there is an expectation of a punishment to send a message. That's part of the gig. When you accept a position as a public face of a company your actions are their actions and you have to behave betterLink?I think we were lead to believe that it was an accident and that she actually hit her head on the railing to cause her to be knocked out. Do you have a link to where he was treated differently in the legal system from anyone else who was a first-time offender? Not everyone who commits a crime does any time in jail - including domestic abuse cases. The vast majority of people who plead guilty, do not go to jail.I guess I always imagined him doing what I saw on the video. I get where everyone else is coming and it boils down to what you though originally I guessThink it comes down to actually seeing it. To an extent, I see where you are coming from...we all knew what happened and what we see now is probably very close to how we construed it in our heads. But now everyone has the same concrete, referenceable image in their heads and that's going to be tough to shake.
I agree with Rice's fall on the sword course of action. He can't be a football player by his own doing...taking responsibility means doling out the harshest punishment in this case for him which is to remove the NFL from his life.
ETA; If I'm Goodell, I'm embarrassed. I would think in judging the case, I ask the question (probably the first question I ask) 'do we have footage from inside the elevator?'
that her head would not have bounced off of were it not for the punchFolks remember , it wasn't the punch that KO'd her , it was the elevator railing
Because now there is a public outcry that is 10x more than it was a few weeks ago.. I also don't see the Ravens cutting him as everyone already knew what happened.

He is toast. Maybe self-imposed by Rice, maybe not. But either way he's toast.
