RB Breece Hall, NYJ (1 Viewer)

@32BeatWriters
The Patriots are giving up 185 rushing yards a game over the last three weeks.

With S Kyle Dugger now listed as questionable, you can expect Breece Hall to absolutely eat on Sunday.

In a pinch, you can probably flex Braelon Allen too.

I hope he gets out of the garbage Jet organization, for his sake and my dynasty team's sake. Splitting carries with a plodder, such a joke

I am not familiar with all the ins and out involved but is there any chance Hall gets traded to a contender that might be RB-needy? Just fantasizing about Hall actually getting 20 carries and a few catches for once instead of splitting with his backup as usual thanks to the trash coaches at this joke of an organization.

We can only hope. What a disgrace the way they use him.

I would characterize his usage as what a modern day bell cow looks like. Over 70% of the snaps and total RB touches and considering how talented his backup is that's pretty good. I really see no problem with the distribution of labor for their RB's.

One of the problems is the Jets are one of the slowest paced teams in the league which limits plays and of course they are not very good on offense which also limits plays and goal line opportunity's.

Can he get traded? Teams don't generally give away their best young cheap talent unless they see pending contract issues but can't remember the last time we saw this with a RB as they don't break the salary cap. Now this upcoming off-season he'll be eligible for an extension and we might see him attempt to hold out(in) and press as much leverage as he can and with a prior ACL can certainly see him not wanting to play on a cheap rookie contract with no money past 2025. But all in all I'd say it's an extreme longshot he is traded this season, very extreme. Due to Braelon and a likely reboot of the team next off-season I'd move him from extreme longshot to get traded to merely a longshot this upcoming off-season. I know a Jets beat writer I follow was speculating before the season that Brealon has looked so good it might impact their decision to extend him.

Interesting thanks, appreciate the thoughts. Not sure I agree on the characterization of modern day bell cow. I would say that in prior games, yes Allen has looked good but there was a point yesterday when Hall had something like 60 yards on about 9 carries. Meanwhile, Allen had about 20 yards on 11 carries. Why on earth did the backup have more carries? What is the thinking here? He wasn't running better, in fact he was running way poorer. Makes no sense.

The snap percentage might be on point but the overall usage is just off-color imo. Hall was flat-out running miles better all game. Then they gave Allen the goal line carry and I just thought to myself "If you like Allen this much, why not trade Hall and let them both flourish, this is getting stupid". That and Aaron Rodgers' utterly infuriating insistence on throwing constantly from the 1 yard line. I wouldn't normally actively root against them but I took a grim pleasure in them losing in the end.

Reading this exchange tells me it's buy low time.

It can't get worse can it?

The schedule down the stretch is very accommodating.

I’m biased towards Hall but he looked good yesterday and it was script and coaching that held him back. Allen can also be forgiven. Short yardage blocking schemes are designed to do just that—gain short yardage.

Hall was running so well I’m just surprised they didn’t stick with it.

It's the Jets. Apparently when something works, they change it, or mix in the backup for no real reason or let their ancient QB constantly throw on first and goal at the 1 yard line.

That schedule is what I’m salivating over honestly.
I've tried to buy low several times without success. Getting close to a point of capitulation I'd have to think for Hall owners.

Nope. He’s too good. He’ll be either the bellcow for the Jets or done with them in a year. If you’re talking redraft, sure, but not dynasty.

Yeah redraft.

So it appears that Jets will run Hall but goal line bring in Allen. Correct?
Yes, or Grandpa Aaron throws to pad his stats.
I'm not understanding the Rodgers hate he's old everyone knew his young Rodgers days are way past him and he led them on a 10 play 70 yard TD with 3 minutes left in the game. NE had to score a TD one of the worst offensive teams. Their defense again let them down not Rodgers. Same thing vs DEN at home playing against a horrid offensive team early in the season and they score the only TD.
Seems like the defense gets a pass and Rodgers all the blame because some people expected young MVP Rodgers. That's on them.

Rodgers said it himself 'the expectation is 30 points a game'. Sure you can blame the D but the D also only gave up 10 points in the denver game and they lost. Any other (except the pats and car) and that's an easy win....so yes it's on rodgers

Now with the GM fired sending a clear signal this franchise is in for a reset next season, I'm curious how the coaching staff will deploy their offensive assets.

I'm more specifically concerned about B. Hall and B. Allen who I own.

Do they pull the plug on Rodgers?

Sit B. Hall and save him?

Does D. Adams just pout rather than play?

What a mess.

Who is going to replace Rodgers? I'm not seeing it. Rodgers plays the season out.

True.

Can't imagine Rodgers and Adams will be too motivated at this point. Rodgers knows he's gone and I'd think Adams is gone as well.

The Jets were awful last year & Hall won me a league.

Players have pride. The narrative that they’ll all quit on the field is often floated, but I rarely see it.

These are televised games & I’m reasonably sure that ARod, Adams, and the rest will go out and play.

I know Hall will.

Aside from the Jet debacle - the OC finally started giving the ball to Breece in space rather than their usual up the middle special....he is so much better as last Sunday showed. No idea what the future holds but Id still be all over Breece for this year fantasy playoffs

Is it better for his value if Rodgers is gone next year?
I think so. Best value would for him to get the hell out of NY.
I don't see them letting him free.
I think it could go in a lot of different directions with Breece though I think the odds are he remains.

I think the next step after this season is that unless or until he's extended I fully expect him to exercise as much of a hold-in, skipping workouts, etc,etc as he possibly can do and not get hit in the wallet. My guess is Woody will cave and they will extend him, won't want that distraction with new head coach/GM and likely QB and will want some stability. But if not I think this might start looking like Jonathan Taylor's situation last off-season.

Seriously. What have they been thinking?

And finally he gets the looks in the passing game.

Who knows. Now that almost everyone has been thrown out of town watch Rodgers and the gang actually perform...when it's too late.

I was wondering what was up yesterday when I saw the Jets worked out a few RB’s and signed Zonovan Knight.

My advice. Run to pick up Braelon if you can but regardless right now I don’t like Halls chances of going this week.

If Allen plays well in his place we may see more of a committee going forward as well to end the season. With the Jet’s playoff hopes gone, it seems to make sense to not have Breece shoulder the load anyhow. This stinks for Breece holders.

So, after waivers ran this morning I woke up and saw I missed out on one of my transactions. So, I figured I'd just snag an injury upside RB that was sitting there. A couple of options but I settled on Braelon. Then maybe 10 minutes later, the news started coming out about Breece. I feel like I just won the lottery lol.

One of the best feelings in this nerdy hobby we enjoy. You might have went from a back end roster guy to a week 13 top 10 rb for free. Love it
