RB Breece Hall, NYJ (2 Viewers)

Jets' Breece Hall: Listed as doubtful for Week 14

Hall (knee) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Dolphins, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Hall missed practice Wednesday and Thursday and spent Friday's session working in the rehab area, per Brian Costello of the New York Post. The third-year pro's knee injury appears set to keep him sidelined Week 14, though an official decision on Hall's status may not arrive until 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will be the top candidates to lead New York's backfield until Hall is healthy enough to retake the field.
It's either B. Allen or B. Thomas. Leaning hard Thomas due to I. Davis factor and the fact that the Jets are dysfunctional on offense...maybe less so than JAX with Mac Jones. Which is crazy.

I’ve had B Allen rostered all year, if you are like me, I think there is no reason not to start him…

I would expect RB2 floor and a RB1 ceiling
I'm so mad this Breece news was delayed this long. I would have started Allen in my flex over Reed if I knew Breece was out.

I likely miss playoffs now.

Turns out you could have started a corpse over J Reed……

Breece was good, but not quite what I expected this year. People who saw lots of games, do we think he was overrated as a player? Did the team just limit his success?

Look at how Saquon suffered behind those abysmal Giants lines, and you’re on the right track with what went on with Breece this year. Add that situation to Rodgers’s inability to stretch defenses by throwing deep and you’ve got the two biggest reasons right there, along with being a little dinged up. Eight in the box and very little in the way of blocking proficiency. I think Breece’s YPC is still pretty good if you look at that statistic, and it has especially been good since mid-October.

He did have a rough start where he didn’t look like himself, but it’s not because he never had it and was overrated. It’s because he seemed physically different until about a month into the year.

A+ talent, D situation. Grade still incomplete on his attitude and work ethic TBH.

This. He has talent and as a first year redraft owner I just always got a negative vibe from him watching the games. He never looked super pumped when he scored and always just looked like he’d rather be somewhere else. Even saquon in NY still showed emotion the last few years. Hall has a meh attitude. Granted a lot of players would be if they were on the jets too imo. Just bad vibes out of that team. Probably won’t redraft him again.

Breece Hall (knee) seen at practice Thursday, status remains unclear
It is a positive sign for Hall, though it is still unclear what his status is. He'll need to be monitored when the injury report is released later in the afternoon.
Don't be fooled by that. Here is a conflicting and probably more accurate reporting....

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) was on the field and was carrying his helmet on Thursday for the portion of practice open to the media, but he immediately headed to the rehab area. It indicates that Hall is likely to pick up another DNP for the second straight day. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich indicated on Wednesday that Hall is still struggling through a knee injury that kept him out of the Week 14 overtime loss to the division-rival Miami Dolphins last Sunday. The 23-year-old hasn't been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but things aren't looking good for him right now, and fantasy managers should currently be planning to be without him. With Hall out last weekend, rookie Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis essentially split the backfield workload, with Davis finding the end zone. Both RBs would be in play as RB3/flex options against the Jags if Hall is ruled out again.

So he went from "struggling" to "promising" in a couple days.

Do we trust him if active?

I'd love to avoid my T. Tracy vs. S. McCormick decision.

With both Hall and Allen, I can't afford to flex either if splitting time. I think I'd rather go for a boom/bust WR or maybe even Hockenson instead of risking either guy getting only a small portion of the work. Ready to pull the trigger, though, if there's something definite by gametime.

If Hall is active I'd assume he's getting at least 60% of the touches while Allen/Davis split the rest. Otherwise, why the hell activate him?

I think if he's active, and there's no coachspeak about a RBBC between the three of them, I have to start Hall.

Especially with C. Kupp laying an egg. Need ceiling. And Hall against a JAX run D could do the trick.

Go down with the ship.

Hows his contract read ? He could have incentive clauses that involve playing out the season or hitting certain yardage or TD incentives hes trying to reach and get paid .

Yeah I gotta choose two of Breece, Jonnu Smith, and Sincere McCormick in a .5 ppr. I’m a slight favorite.

Breece currently on my bench.

Sincere in over Breece?

Have the same decision (along with Tracy) and right now I have Breece plugged in. Probably only because his projection is nicer on my eyes right now.

Yes per FBG recommendation.

Oddly, I seem to trust McCormick more to get at least 12 touches.

Just how you planned it in August...right? Always amazing what goes on this time of the year when it looked so easy going into week 1.
