RB Bucky Irving, TB (1 Viewer)

That was a bad fumble last night, Bucs were about one FD from icing the game and he was running into the clear and gets stripped of the football
That fumble cost the Bucs a win last night, it led to overtime and the rug just got pulled out from under them
I would agree if the Bucs didn't get the ball right back in FG position to ice the game at the ATL 28 with 1:44 to go

That never happens if he holds on to the football, cut and dry
The rest of what happens after would not have existed IMHO

Not saying Irving didn't play a part, but TB got a second chance to put the game away.

One could say that if Mooney doesn't drop a gimme.........

From CBS
"Irving had an especially untimely fumble following a seven-yard run with just under three minutes remaining, with Jessie Bates stripping the rookie of the ball as it appeared Tampa Bay could potentially be moving into position to either run out the clock, or at minimum, add three points to a 30-27 lead"

"Irving’s fumble was a crushing blow in the Bucs’ overtime loss. If he doesn’t fumble, the Bucs are in prime position to pick up a first-down, force the Falcons into using time outs, and pick up at least a field goal or perhaps put the game away."

-I also asked for the DC resignation in the game thread

I can only remember 1 fumble for Bucky at 2 years at Oregon. Having watched both White at ASU and Bucky at Oregon there is no question who is a better RB.....Bucky

Fixating on the one mistake Irving made as the sole reason for the loss is not the way I see things. Godwin was a victim of the peanut punch as well, but Evans saved him.

Mooney made a big mistake that could have possibly iced the game. Atlanta got a second chance and won.

True RBBC. White is not that good, but he is going to be used at least 50% of the time. Shocked to see that White lost 2 yards on each of his catches. This was supposed to be the one area where he was preferred. Still don’t think Irving get the lead this year.

The no call on Bucky getting face masked was a killer. Out of field goal range then Prime Time Kirk did his thing.

And if Mooney doesn't drop that ball the previous Falcons drive they go up 34-30.

If the refs call the facemask on the Falcons on the drive after David's interception there would have been offsetting penalties and the Bucs would have stayed in field goal range. And Atlanta would have had to score a TD on their last drive.

And if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon.

If "ifs" and "buts" were "candy" and "nuts" we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Lots of things happened that contributed to the final outcome.

he's probably a better runner than white but there were a couple of moments where i thought what is this kid doing...
He is a better RB. As a White owner I think this is a true RBBC. They are getting identical opportunities.

Oh I think so to but you can tell he doesn't see the field well...he hits the whole harder than white but he also seems to miss quiet a few
yes, it was a bad fumble but he’s electric with the ball in his hands and only going to get better. There were tons of ways they could have won that game, but obv that fumble came at a pivotal moment.
Very impressed with this kid

Thought it was good leadership to go back to him and try to build his confidence back in that spot. But, yeah, agree with MOP that the fumble was huge.

Yep, and if Baker had passed for more than 40 yards in the 2nd half maybe it wouldn’t have been so close. If Tampa hadn’t wasted a TO in the first half challenging a forward pass was a fumble that they didn’t even recover. Or not calling a TO before the game tying kick bailing ATL out after they committed a delay of game and would have been forced to rush the kick. Plenty of blame to go around.

Not sure about that one, after the delay Atlanta was set up for the kick with plenty of time on the clock.

They did put him back in but I think White got his leg twisted up a little as well so they took him out and went back to Bucky.

He may very well still have made it, but it was much more likely after they called the TO and gave them plenty of time to calm down and reset. The Falcons players and their coaches were freaking out about the delay of game, they got set in time after the penalty backed them up but they were clearly rushed with the 25 second clock instead of the 40 second clock (that they couldn't get ready for previously.) Icing the kicker never works, I think there was even a big thread on here years ago about it.

On the list of impact events that happened in the last five minutes of that game, calling the timeout was a very distant last.

BTW, I don’t hear people talking about what looked like a White injury toward the end of regulation. He got taken down awkwardly and didn’t look right the two plays after that. I could be wrong, but i think they was the reason the Bucs went back to Bucky after the fumble. Either way, I love this kid in dynasty.

White popped up on the injury report today. Questionable LP foot

Anyone starting him this week? Feels like a potentially good spot with Rattler in at a qb. They might be able to sit on a lead and run more.

As a Bucky fan and someone with heavy investment in him, I'd love for White to be out, but I don't buy that White will miss time with the foot injury. My guess is we'll be in a Flex play holding pattern for a few weeks until someone here can get separation on the other.

Bucky in for me as flex. Starting over Kupp, Davante Adams, Rashee Rice, Jonathon Brooks and Najee.

He's currently in for me over Sermon and Ford.

Rachaad a game time decision on Sunday. Bucky is must owned even in ten team leagues, correct? He’s staring at me rn as a FA.

Yes- he should be owned. I’d curb a temporary value guy for him. It’s like Ekeler vs Bucky who would you roster? I’d roster Bucky over Najee types

Bucky has really flashed and I’m excited about his prospects in dynasty. White is a JAG and they really seem to like what he brings to the offense

Congratulations to all the Irving owners. First time I have owned White and knew it was a mistake form the first time I saw Irving play. He is just a better RB. However, if White is healthy then it becomes a true RBBC. This is a great opportunity for Irving to make it 65/35.

Usage may be telling this weekend with White out. Do they give Bucky the full workload or just slide Tucker into White's role? Figures to be a positive game script for this backfield since NO are likely to fall behind early with a rookie QB against TB's explosive offense. Build a 2+ score lead and then just grind the clock away. It's a great opportunity for Irving. However, I suspect we may see more of Tucker than Irving's owners would like. It may still be a RBBC, just with different faces. If not, arrow up for Irving.

I wouldn't be so sure. The Saints defense usually plays well vs. Tampa. Now the offense for the Saints might screw it up

Tampa only favored by 3.5 points.
Saints are pretty tough on D. Starting Rattler though? Kancey and possibly Winfield back.

Goedeke should be back at RT, but Bucs’ center Barton is out.

Plus, it’s been a Hell of a week in Tampa. The team flew out Tuesday. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see them come out flat.
