RB Bucky Irving, TB (2 Viewers)

Looks like he’s gonna suit up. Anyone going to trust him in a playoff game? I have Sincere McCormick or Theilen I can plug in at flex. Torn….

Currently have Mooney in over him in the flex in full ppr.

My only other options are Warren or Hock at flex. I think I'm gonna roll with Bucky but will see how 1pm games go. All these guys go later. I'm starting sincere over him as rb2 if it helps.

I have to either start Swift or Bucky as my RB 2. Swift is in right now. Can't risk a game like last week when Irving played 1 quarter or whatever it was.

I have C Brown and Z Charb in.

Now, I need to pick between Rashad White and Stevenson as my flex.
Bucky being out would have made this a lot easier.

Thanks for the responses guys. I’m going pretty well in the 1pm window vs my opponent. I think I’m going safe with 5-8 points from McCormick rather than risk Irving have to leave early like last week. Good luck to all.

Putting him in over Metcalf in my flex in a close matchup, although I don’t feel great about it. Opponent has White, so I really need Irving to last through the game.

Yeah, this guy is a fantastic talent, but a drama queen. He’s pulled this multiple this year where he claims he injured and misses practice then shows up and plays like nothing was wrong.

Dude, what? He's stretching his sciatic nerve during timeouts and has a hot pack applied to his back on the sideline in between drives.

RB Bucky Irving did not get a touch in the last nine plus minutes of the game. When asked if he was possible to get Irving in the game during a two-minute situation, even in 21 personnel, Todd Bowles said, "Yeah, it's possible." Why didn't they do it? "Well, like you say, Rachaad (White) is our two-minute guy. The clock going so we went with him. We had to protect some. The game turned out how it turned out. I don't think that had anything to do with the outcome.''

I get the love for White in the pass game, but 2 fumbles lost last 2 weeks and this last one cost them a chance to possibly win the game.
White is such a far better pass blocker and receiving option. But yea, the fumbles are killing them. But Bucky had a huge fumble in the first Atlanta game too.

Pass blocker 100% agree. Receiving option, I think is much more debatable. White can run more WR caliber routes, but he's nowhere near as dangerous after the catch, and I'm not sure White has better hands either. Irving has caught 41 of 42 targets in Tampa and caught 94 out of 105 targets in college.

Ideally, I think Tampa would use Irving as the starter, and White as a COP. I feel like them having a 50-50 split, is kind of holding back the offense a bit. I do think with their WR injuries (and Otton too) if they would be better served to be running a lot of 2-RB sets?

Bucky Irving legitimately needs rookie of the year consideration. He’s a top 5 running back in the league right now.
I both disagree and agree. I think being a top-5 RB simply isn't worthy of rookie of the year this year, its a loaded year. Daniels is the only real pick for the award, but as good as Irving is, is there a strong case for him over Bowers, or Nabers, or Thomas, or Nix. or McConkey?

Always been an Irving fan, and I'm still shocked he made it to day 3.

Haven’t had the chance to see him much this season, got a good watch today. He looks decisive and quick. Really stood out. Another example of combine measurables not meaning much, some players just translate to actual games with full pads etc and lose less than others

The two sure things this year (Harrison Jr and Williams) did nothing while so many (Irving, Tracey, McConkey, Nix) had excellent season even with all the negative garbage coming from analysts

I think it's more accurate to say they didn't live up to expectations but I thought both guys played well at times and showed flashes of what made the expectations so high to begin with.

Expectations drive a lot of analysis this time of year. You can find some gems by stripping out the expectations from your looking glass and actually see what guys did. (This is not to take anything about from the guys that outperformed expectations).

For sure, but to be clear I'm talking fantasy. There were guys that were sure things and most analysts had the rbs as pretty mediocre. Irving is honestly a game changer. I don't know how many people blew that call. He's a special talent

I’m seriously contemplating keeping Bucky over Achane next year. He was a revelation the second half of the year. Achane was great, but he’s not nearly the runner Bucky is. He was really reliant on receptions this year. I’m not sure he can replicate 85-90 receptions next year.

I have both myself and depending on the off seasons in Miami/Tampa I would absolutely do the same if had to choose one.

Bucky is solid. and Rachaad White's contract is up. so there is a fair chance they let him walk and just roll with Bucky.

I know if I were in charge, thats the direction I'd go. Especially if its looking like Rachaad wants to get paid

Bucky Irving has 1430 total yards this season.

He's played just 44% of the Bucs snaps...
Amazing stat. And if White is really gone as the above post says Irving could be a great value.
White has 1 more left on his deal. He's not going anywhere yet. That said, its very possible, he fades into being maybe a 35% snap player.

The hope would be that this turns into a somewhat similar backfield to Atlanta.

As I said in one of the game topics, I did not put enough respect on this man’s name.

I was wrong. He’s a stud. Electric with the ball in his hands.
You’re not the only one. Completely whiffed on this guy.
To be fair to yourselves (and myself), he was the 125th pick of the draft. No RB drafted there is going to be considered a likely star or even expected to be a difference maker. If he's this good, all every NFL team whiffed on him by not taking him in the second and third round.

Wanted this guy in my dyno draft but someone “reached” at the end of the 2nd. Now I’m pondering silly trade offers. A late 1st and 2nd? Would be surprised if I can pry him away

my apologies. I could swear it said he becomes a free agent in 2025. If I'm wrong thats fully on me. sorry

Bucky at RB7 per KTC. Anyone thinking about selling him? Obviously a fun player, but that's a nice profit. Say, for example, Breece Hall?

Breece Hall is a little over a year older and the RB ranked just ahead of Bucky.
