RB Chase Brown, CIN (1 Viewer)

Browning is a serviceable NFL QB. Not great by any means but he's competent enough to feed the skill position guys from a fantasy perspective. Brown's volume should keep him an RB1, but on the lower end vs. higher end probably.

Considering browning snipes goal line tds we are in major trouble and this guy is in the running for early round bust, and potentially losing time and snaps. I am a fan of his but no burrow is just brutal
Losing time and snaps? He’s gotten every RB carry through both games.
As a dynasty owner I want brown to succeed but it hasn’t looked good so far from his efficiency standpoint. The offense is built to succeed with the big three and now one of them is gone. I’m hoping they can retool on the fly but the bengals are basically a stars and scrubs type of team

It’s way too soon to panic. He’s getting a ton of touches. I’m starting him for the foreseeable future.
I don’t see how anyone can bench him even with Burrow out. RBs that get the majority of work are few and far between.
I think if you snagged someone like Javonte or Etienne as a backup RB, you could make cases for them over Brown.

I'm of 2 minds with Brown, and I'm not sure which I feel stronger about. On the one hand, I don't think Brown is a special player at all, I think his value was almost entirely role and offense based, so if the offense falls off without Burrow, there is a chance we are just looking at AFC D'Andre Swift. On the other hand, its also possible the Bengals become more of a run 1st team, and they try to protect Browning. Some of Brown's issues, and Mixon's before him, is that Burrow is basically a shotgun only QB. That's a negative for any RB, unless the QB is so mobile (Lamar/Hurts) that they constantly force at least 1 defender to stay with them, just in case they faked it. So, the efficiency could go up, even if the offense is worse.

I think Browning is an acceptable backup, but this offense is gonna certainly be worse overall, and perhaps substantially. Its not gonna go off the rails like Miami did last year or anything like that, but this goes from a top-5 offense, to probably a middle of the pack one without Burrow.
