RB Chase Brown, CIN (5 Viewers)

Browning is a serviceable NFL QB. Not great by any means but he's competent enough to feed the skill position guys from a fantasy perspective. Brown's volume should keep him an RB1, but on the lower end vs. higher end probably.

Considering browning snipes goal line tds
Really? He had a sneak from the half yard line with less than a minute left down by three. I am not too concerned about Browning sniping anything.

I was surprised they even let him do it in the game, and doubt they'll continue to in the future, considering there isn't a 3rd QB on the roster. I think the practice squad has Brett Rypien.

Considering browning snipes goal line tds we are in major trouble and this guy is in the running for early round bust, and potentially losing time and snaps. I am a fan of his but no burrow is just brutal
Losing time and snaps? He’s gotten every RB carry through both games.
As a dynasty owner I want brown to succeed but it hasn’t looked good so far from his efficiency standpoint. The offense is built to succeed with the big three and now one of them is gone. I’m hoping they can retool on the fly but the bengals are basically a stars and scrubs type of team

It’s way too soon to panic. He’s getting a ton of touches. I’m starting him for the foreseeable future.
I don’t see how anyone can bench him even with Burrow out. RBs that get the majority of work are few and far between.
I think if you snagged someone like Javonte or Etienne as a backup RB, you could make cases for them over Brown.

I'm of 2 minds with Brown, and I'm not sure which I feel stronger about. On the one hand, I don't think Brown is a special player at all, I think his value was almost entirely role and offense based, so if the offense falls off without Burrow, there is a chance we are just looking at AFC D'Andre Swift. On the other hand, its also possible the Bengals become more of a run 1st team, and they try to protect Browning. Some of Brown's issues, and Mixon's before him, is that Burrow is basically a shotgun only QB. That's a negative for any RB, unless the QB is so mobile (Lamar/Hurts) that they constantly force at least 1 defender to stay with them, just in case they faked it. So, the efficiency could go up, even if the offense is worse.

I think Browning is an acceptable backup, but this offense is gonna certainly be worse overall, and perhaps substantially. Its not gonna go off the rails like Miami did last year or anything like that, but this goes from a top-5 offense, to probably a middle of the pack one without Burrow.

I think Brown is a solid running but what made him so lethal fantasy wise was his involvement in the passing game too. That seems to be a big hit through 2 weeks.

How are we feeling about Brown with Browning at the helm? Chase has gotten elite volume with 41 touches in 2 games. However his YPC is horrendous and he isn't getting passes like he used to.

I love me some Brown but I need WR help and contemplating shipping him off for the likes of London, AJB, etc. who are also underperforming.

He is the exact kind of RB I avoid in fantasy. Not well thought of as a prospect, comes on strong in 2nd half of the year and is mostly propped up due to the offense he's attached to. Those are 3 big red flags.

He's got no room to run at all, but I'm done telling the league that they're wrong about running backs. They always seem to tell me what's up in the end. That said, I don't think that the Bengals were being disingenuous about planning a lot of the offense around his skills. That would be very weird to overdo it that much.

I think the Bengals just flat stink and needed to not let the inmates run the asylum. Signing Tee Higgins to that contract was unwise, to put it in the mildest of terms.

My God. The box score says he had ten carries for three yards. He went 10-3.

That's unreal. There's no excuse for that.
If you watch the game, the DL was getting to him as fast as Browning was. Factor in, Taylor calls the exact same run every time, there was nothing doing here

Not a wholesale defense of Brown, I dont think he's an elite talent but pretty much all the backs had the same fate

Oh, I said it upthread for sure. I said, "He's got not room to run at all . . ." but you cannot go 10-3. That's bad no matter what. Get a yard or two after contact or something. Awful.

I hear ya, but I really never saw anything like it, it was the proverbial handoff to the lineman.

Cincy needs to blow out all their leadership

The problem with a top RB busting this bad is that they're so hard to replace. Easier to find a WR on the wire that will at least do something if your top WR is a bust...

I would be buying low, he's about the surest thing to a bell cow you get in today's NFL.

The offense can't get any worse can it?

Better days ahead

I don't know. Tahj Brooks is probably looming right over his shoulder right about now. Chase doesn't look good. I watched enough of today's and the the first two games to wonder what's wrong with him.

The problem is his team is horrible.

Hes a great receiver and he gets 3-4 targets a game? When they’re in catch up mode every game?
