RB Damien Williams, ATL (1 Viewer)

Damien Williams should get the lions' share of touches.  Charcandrick West went from street free agent to backup only a couple weeks ago, and while he is familiar with the offense, I don't expect him to play a major role in this game.  Darrel Williams has only a handful of touches on the season.  There is always a chance that West or Darrel Williams impresses and earns a bigger role, but Andy Reid tends to stick with one featured back.  My bigger concern is that the Chiefs just lean on the passing game even more if the running game struggles.
How are Damien Williams hands?  Is he someone that could catch 4 passes?

I think you're looking at this wrong.  If the Chiefs lean on the passing game Williams will be a benefactor in that passing game.  The Chiefs like to use their backs in the passing game and Williams is a pretty good receiver.

I am on the Kansas side, and currently it is light jacket weather, overcast, but no rain.  There is a chance of light rain this afternoon into evening.  Winds are expected to be 10-15 mph.  The temperature is unlikely to drop below freezing tonight, but I understand wind chills could be in the upper 20s.  I really do not expect weather to play a significant role in this game, although I did read this report:  https://www.kansascity.com/weather/article222988790.html

Damien Williams has excellent hands, going back to his days at Oklahoma, so it would be no surprise to see him finish with 4-5 receptions.

I absolutely agree with this.  In fact, I would say Damien Williams is a bigger asset as an outlet receiver than he is as a runner.  He has excellent hands, and in space against a LB, he can excel.  His weakness has been his vision finding running lanes.  I have been surprised at his burst over the past couple of games.  He has shown better acceleration than Ware.

Anyone trying to decide between Damian Williams vs Justin Jackson.

What is the latest on Melvin Gordon?  I understood he was a GTD, but I wonder if that is more of a ruse than anything.  According to Ian Rapoport, LA is promoting RB Troymaine Pope from their practice squad. That seems to me to suggest Gordon is unlikely to play tonight.

I'm trying to figure out Williams vs Jackson as well.  If both Gordon and Ware are out, I'd lean Williams slightly over Jackson.  I'd expect both to get 15-20 touches.  To me KC is more explosive plus it's a home game for KC.  Both RB should get RB2 numbers but I put Williams with a better chance at reaching RB1 numbers.

I was wondering if it was a ruse, along with MG's tweets all week.  We won't know until a little after 7pm EST for sure either way.

Trying to decide on 2 between DJ (sucking and Q), Chubb, Conner (will he play?) and Williams now that Ware is out. if I don't start this dude tonight and Conner and DJ don't play, i'm screwed I guess.

I don't think Conner will play.  Samuels gets another week.

Yep...and I'm leaning Williams (as he is at home in a more-explosive offense).

ETA: Williams/Jackson would be @flex (with Gurley/Fournette as RB1/2)
Same, slightly leaning Williams.  I posted a poll on myfantasyleague twitter, got 40 votes and it's 70% Jackson for some reason.

I'm starting Chubb, Thielen, K. Allen, and trying to figure out on the RB.

Starting him over Howard.

If he impresses, what's the long term expectations?  Is there a chance that he gets the starting gig in 2019?

Have to consider him over DJ and Conner for varying reasons, apart from anything else, neither may play. Wish this was a Sunday game, incredibly annoying.

I agree the biggest fear is Andy going away from the RB like he has been known to do at times but I'm thinking this should not be one of those games. Kelce has never done anything against the Chargers, Hill not 100%, the Chargers are missing 3-4 of their best run stoppers on defense. The other positive seems to be Williams should be involved with any game script- main back to start the game, pass receiving back, goal line back, also should get looks if they are in pound the rock to salt the game away mode.

For an RB3 Flex type I think he has a fairly high floor with a high ceiling if he gets the majority of snaps.

Wasn't there a report that KC didn't put the other Williams kid (the rookie) on their practice squad because they valued him so highly they didn't want others teams to have a shot at swiping him?

Been wondering if that means he could be given a shot to take over the backfield now.

66% Jackson to 34% Williams with 113 votes in mine.

Wonder why people are leaning Jackson? because he's more an unknown?  We know Williams is a 11-40-0 guy with 3-30-0 rec as a floor?
Jackson has no competition behind him. It's his backfield alone. Williams has a couple guys who could potentially get a hot hand and then we're all pissed at Andy Reid tomorrow for not doing what we expected.

Arrowhead, primetime game, Eric Berry back for a "spark" yes on a snap count.  Jackson only had 12 yards on 7 carries last week vs a bad D?
...home teams are 12-3 in Thursday games this year... Chargers will likely need to pass more to keep up... I think the Chiefs win so many different game scripts could still allow Williams to produce... I am leaning Williams, but I am still closer to 50/50.

As is pretty much all of fantasy football.
No with a source, it isn't. There's a huge different between all of us fans speculating in a football thread and posting a Tweet from a local sports radio host as if they are anymore informed unless they quote a source.

With Ware likely out a think I will play Williams over Michel and Samuels.  This also gives me those two guys as a just in case DJ has a setback.

What about the other rb? The other D.Williams. He'll probably be in the mix too. Ingram looking better by the hour for me...
Expect the same amount of touches that the rb1 (now Damien) and rb2 (now Darrel)and rb3 (now West)received all year. So  15-20, 4-8, 1-2
