Yeah there definitely seems to be a number of people, not necessarily all on here but in general social media, that seem determined to spin negatives with this guy, no matter what. The need to be right about something.
First it was "too fragile, can't stay healthy", then "not drafting him early, he'll split with Mostert and not get enough touches", then when that turned out false and in fact it was Mostert getting hurt instead and then Achane just shouldered the entire load on a short week with a dinged ankle as well, "well now he's going to get too many touches, he'll break down".
Sheesh. I share some concerns about staying healthy over the season, for any RB playing 16 games is tough, and especially under an ever-increasing workload but the narrative flip-flopping is tiresome.
But ask yourself where you drafted him. That WAS because of the injury concerns because as a player, he goes top 3 in a fantasy draft.
One season doesn't write him off as injury prone but one game doesn't establish him as some Curtis Martin workhorse
Don't disagree. I got him in the third round of my local, think he goes a lot higher today, and that was a product of not being totally sure about him. Wouldn't deny that. My issue is with the whole thing of largely the same people saying one thing, then when that is proven to not be the case, they switch to a different narrative like they were of that opinion all along.
It should be ok to say "hmmm, I guess I was wrong up to now, his workload is much higher than anticipated and he's doing well, we'll see how long it lasts". It's fantasy football, we get it wrong all the time. You just know the "told you so posts" are ready to go if he breaks down.
