RB De’Von Achane, MIA (1 Viewer)

Wow where to even begin with Achane. From league winner to borderline not startable due to having zero QB and always playing from behind.
Playing from behind shouldn't really impact him that much, he should still be getting points off the receptions.
He's only had 3 receptions each of that past two games. I don't know how McDaniel doesn't scheme more options for him in the passing game.

No QB and you get to see what happens to this offense. Also Sweat was a beast up front, not much running room today.

The offensive play calls are different with back-up QBs than what Tua runs. They look disjointed and the back-ups aren't going through their reads. Tua will quickly read and check down to Achane when the receivers are covered.

The first thing Miami needs is a QB that is as good as Tua and it will fix this offense. Until then, peace out.

Miami also had 4 illegal shift penalties on the same fricken drive. Killed any momentum. They are out of sync and disjointed right now.

way too many of the runs were stretch plays. Defenses have figured out how to play Miami side to side.

I know it won’t happen but I’d love to see the tannehill “don’t call it a comeback” tour.

For you Achane owners out there I'd rather have him than any of the Dolphins pass catchers, so there is that.

I'm shocked you didn't work a little size joke in there somewhere
Thanks for reminding me. I'll try and do that on my next Achane post. I must have had a "small" brain fart.

Edit before someone says, "No, you just had a small brain", or "that's what she said" :)

Still rolling with Achane and praying McDaniel can remember how to scheme him in the passing game. It's clear they can no longer push the ball down the field to their speedsters, at least utilize some screens, sweeps, whatever with De'Von.

McDaniel may be an idiot. Did you see the play where he schemed up De'Von to line up as an H-Back and block a 366 pound assassin?

I'm not sure I can bring myself to start him. Likely going with Jerome Ford or Xavier Worthy over him.
He's still gonna get at least ten touches with a few of those passes. In other words, he's floor seems way higher than those two choices.

You would think, but Achane has put up 10 total points over the last 2 weeks in half PPR. Ford and Worthy have outscored him. So has Atwell, convincingly.

The Dolphins have had the worst offense in the league the last 2 weeks, and it's not close. Hill has 15 total points, in half PPR, the last 3 weeks. How can you rely on any of those guys?

There is zero threat to pass. Until there is the running game will struggle.

Huntley managed 96 passing yards. The defense could focus on stopping the run as they didn't have to work on stopping the pass.

If it is concussion, then that's probably the best possible situation in the circumstances - Dolphins going into a bye, should be no missed time

They say he went into fencing position like Tua…so I’m not so sure..wtf
I'm not watching the game, I'm just going off people saying concussion, which is typically a one week absence, which if going into a bye would be no missed playing time. Good luck to the lad regardless, but if there were more serious indications that it wasn't just a "trivial" concussion, then especially so
