Now if him and Tua can just stay healthy!Buy low opportunity is now. He is better and more productive playing second fiddle and not taking the bruiser role.

Achane will just have to break some longer runs, which he is capable of. I prefer that they do not use him as the battering ram personally. It's funny to think about for how good he was last game, he could have had a monstrous game if he got those goal line TDs instead of Mostert.
Achane is clearly RB1 but Raheem is annoying and won't go away which is too bad.
Achane was getting goal line looks earlier in the season, but not sure if that was when Mostert was out or still mending yet active. It's funny to think about for how good he was last game, he could have had a monstrous game if he got those goal line TDs instead of Mostert.

Dude is quickly becoming a favorite player to watch regardless of team.Anotha one.
Absolute fantasy monster. Congrats to all of you who drafted him; especially those who reached and drafted him early because you believed. It feels so good when players peak at the right time.
Someone said Toad and that's all I see nowI love that he's wearing a guardian helmet. He looks like a little bobblehead out there knifing through defenses.
Someone with photoshopping skills needs to get on this!Someone said Toad and that's all I see nowI love that he's wearing a guardian helmet. He looks like a little bobblehead out there knifing through defenses.
I don't think Hill being out would be a good thing.Sounds like Hill is dealing with some injuries and is questionable for MNF. Achane is going to be their RB1 and WR1 lol.
Nope. His Longest run of 2024 wasn’t even a touchdown.Has he had a home run play yet this year? I can think of one 40+ yard catch (no TD), but can't think of any long TD plays like last year.
(Not complaining, almost more impressed)
That's on my mind a ton with him. I remember last year he was breaking enormous TDs left and right. This year he is still a top fantasy back, but there seems to be a lot of meat left on the bone with him too.Has he had a home run play yet this year? I think the lack of long TDs in some ways is a positive for his future value. This year he’s shown that he’s not a one-trick pony that needs max efficiency to be a big time fantasy contributor. The coaching staff has not been afraid to run him between the tackles and at the stripe, which shows that he’s a more well rounded back than he looked to be coming into the season. That's on my mind a ton with him. I'm not sure why that is the case as he still has elite speed + Hill/Waddle exist. His OL I guess took a hit with Hunt leaving but I figured he'd have multiple 60+ yard TDs by now.
I think it has to do with how teams are playing Hill Waddle. Lots of 2 deep to prevent the big play. This type of defense is very beatable if you're willing to eat up the field in small chunks, but one of the impacts of this type of defense is that it's harder to break long runs because there are less defenders in the box and more at home seeing the entire field. I am not sure if I am correct, and this is subjective, but I feel like teams were blitzing Miami much more often last season. Achane is doing great this season, and it's not with insane efficiency like last season. It's taking what he's given and excelling at it. He's holding up quite well and looking much stronger than last season, something many said was impossible. That's on my mind a ton with him. IIRC he packed on a lot of muscle heading into preseason and looked noticeably bigger. Not sure if that sapped him of a bit of explosiveness but certainly seems to have made him stronger between the tackles. He's holding up quite well and looking much stronger than last season, something many said was impossible.
Yeah, I didn't see any stories about him adding muscle but I do remember commenting early in the season he did not look small out there. If you look at many of his scoring plays, he still looks very explosive and shifty in the hole. He's still doing his thing but teams seem to be playing the Dolphins much differently than they did last season.IIRC he packed on a lot of muscle heading into preseason and looked noticeably bigger. Today was the first time ever that De’Von Achane played over 3/4 of the offensive snaps for the Miami Dolphins
Top 10 RB and I’m scared to start him.
Why? He hasn't had an real competition for touches on the team. He's getting 6 targets on avg per game (removed his one game he left early). He's scored 10TDs already this year.Top 10 RB and I’m scared to start him.
He's always going to be a 'blue tent' risk, but there's no way this guy explodes on my bench. I'm ready to face the consequences of starting him. As Barry Manilow says, you get what you get when you go for it.Top 10 RB and I’m scared to start him.

The rushing game just seems to be in shambles. No yards, just TDs. I’ll probably start him but I don’t feel confident. And Houston is kinda stout, no?Why? Houston is less "stout" and more played a favorable schedule. The rushing game just seems to be in shambles. No yards, just TDs. I’ll probably start him but I don’t feel confident. This. Even when he's struggling on the ground like last week, he's getting a healthy of amount of targets out of the backfield. Why? He hasn't had an real competition for touches on the team. I guess if you have Josh Jacobs you would start him over Achane....The rushing game just seems to be in shambles. No yards, just TDs. I’ll probably start him but I don’t feel confident. Not trying to turn this into a WDIS thread. I’ve been picking 2 out of Achane, Mixon, James Cook, and Aaron Jones. Mixon is kind of a lock, but is Achane that far ahead of Cook and Jones that you don’t look at matchups and other intangibles? Jokes aside is your roster stacked that you can bench Achane? even in the flex spot? He's RB 8 on the season in half PPR.
I would think it would go to Wright and I would be willing to try to lock him up but Wilson is always there to cause problems.Achane owners are you locking up Wright as a must own hancuff especially considering Mostert being lackluster and injured?
Non-Achane owners are you locking up Wright based on my above statement? If Achane goes down Wright should be a 3 down RB right?
I'd have a hard time sitting Achane. We saw what happened to Cook last game and that is a bit scary - more than Achane. Agree.People are scared of starting Achane? What the hell? He is a top 10 RB and has yet to have that godly long run that he was getting with ease last year. Once one of those connects, you're looking at a 30+ day.
I could not be happier as an Achane owner.
Is this assuming Mostert is out? I would want Mostert as the Achane handcuff this year, assuming the hip injury isn't serious.I would think it would go to Wright and I would be willing to try to lock him up but Wilson is always there to cause problems.Achane owners are you locking up Wright as a must own hancuff especially considering Mostert being lackluster and injured?

I would hope Wright would get all the touches but Wilson might split a few carries if Mostert is out. Wright is worth the gamble if he doesn't cost a lot to acquire but there is always a risk a vet gets some touches.
I'm starting the corpse of Nick Chubb in one league. I would be thrilled to start AchaneAgree.People are scared of starting Achane? What the hell? Wish I had him as a problem.
Seems like he has a rock solid floor with his receptions, seems to have little competition, and is due for an insane ceiling game.

I get where you’re coming from, I really do. Scoring system matters and I’m in 0.5 PPR so the receptions don’t thrill me quite as much. The TDs are keeping him relevant for me, and TDs are fickle. But I appreciate the responses, it’s giving me perspective.Agree.People are scared of starting Achane? What the hell? I usually prefer starting RBs where possible unless it is PPR and I ahve target hogs for WRs. So many WRs can post duds I would think Achane is better option.
