RB De’Von Achane, MIA (18 Viewers)

He's an elite fantasy back. So many people continue to doubt him.

Does anyone really doubt him? He was a late first early second round pick and the only running backs going ahead of him are on good teams with good offenses. Switch teams with Barkley, Gibbs , Bijan, CmC and he would be in discussion for first overall pick.
There was considerable doubt on Achane leading up to drafts, at least more than there should have been. The leg injury was getting so blown up with people comparing him to CMC of last year. Then were was the fact Gordon looked good in preseason and people were panicking. Add in the fact Tua's health can't be relied on and Achane was deemed one of the riskiest picks in the draft.

I agree if Achane was on a competent O then he'd be a top 3-5 selection all day.

Achane looked pretty good despite the modest production. Good volume at 19 touches. I love the screens in 1/2 PPR. He looks like he could break for a long TD at any time.
Like I said earlier I wish he was taking those nice 10-15 yard gains to the house like he did when he first got on the scence.

I wonder how much of this has to do with Hill and Waddle not being great blockers outside? At least the Dolphins OL looked more capable last night. That should bode well for him.

I am guilty of that doubt. But most of my trepidation was related to Tua & his health issues along with Hill’s turbulent presence & decline.
Recently became a shareholder in an offer I could not refuse. The total volume of touches is nice. But Tua looked flustered vs Buff.
The upcoming schedule looks soft (excluding LAC) so maybe there is more offensive explosive plays forthcoming

Great for PPR .. I tried to acquire Achane in dynasty yesterday and was told I needed to give up Njigba, Flowers, and Bill. While my team is deep enough to do that deal, I couldn't believe the asking price.

De’Von Achane had 16 rushes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins’ Week 6 loss against the Chargers, adding four catches for 22 yards.

Achane continues to find ways to survive the train wreck that is the Miami offense. He now has six touchdowns and continues operating as the team’s No. 2 pass catcher behind Jaylen Waddle. Against the Chargers, Achane put his astounding speed on display a few times in the second half, including on a 49-yard rush and a sprint to the corner of the end zone inside the ten yard line. Ollie Gordon, meanwhile, had two rushes for one yard against LA. Achane is one of the game’s few game script-proof running backs. He’ll be a top-10 play in Week 7 against the Browns.

A lot of rumors the Seahawks are trying to acquire Achane. Offering Woolen+. I don't know what the plus would have to be for Miami to get rid of their best player, but I'd imagine really high.

Woolen+Walker+2nd rounder?

Would Seattle pay a 1st for a RB?

Finally broke off a long one. And made it look so easy.
Not exactly sure why he doesn't break a 50+ yarder each and every week. He has that special ability.
Blocking. Miami is 30th in run blocking this season, only the Chargers and Bengals (who are in last by a wide margin) have been worse.

To expand on run blocking in 2025. There are basically 5 tiers so far:
Elite run blocking=LA Rams
Good run blocking=Panthers, Bills, Lions, Colts
Bad run blocking=Dolphins, Chargers
Awful run blocking=Bengals
Average run blocking=Everyone else

What's the deal with Kenny walker and Charbs, I thought the Seahawks had their 1-2 at RB this season
I saw Walker on one of the National games getting chewed out on the sidelines, I don't see players always get that kind of earful but his RB coach or someone else was not happy with him
I thought when I watched him getting chewed out, the Seahawks must not like Walker as much as we think they do

Does Walker get traded at the same time, why would Achane want to get traded to a team that has quite a bit already unless at least one of them is being traded away?
What's the cost to acquire Kenny Walker right now? If Achance is being linked to Seattle, Walker has to be fairly inexpensive for other teams if they are interested

Walker (and Woolen) is a FA at the end of the season, so I don't think he'd be all that expensive. I'd think a day 3 pick. That was sorta my logic in thinking Miami would maybe have interest in having him in deal. Get half a season to see if he can be better in a new situation, and if not, you get the eventual comp pick.

I think Seattle is looking for that big-play element. Walker and Charbonnet are fine, but Achane would change the offense. At this point, I think they are 100% on board with Darnold being the guy going forward, so now its about surrounding him as best they can.

Walker brings the big play element to an offense, not as much as Achane, but still above average for an NFL rb. Something else has to be going on with Walker in Seattle.

Scroll up a few and I talked about that, I saw Walker getting creamed by his coach on the sidelines in one of these night games they played where everyone was watching
Except nobody said much about it at the time on the broadcast or any other coverage I saw
I think there could be an issue with Walker and the Seahawks, but I don't know exactly what that is
Maybe he leaves yards on the field, he does dance a little and bounces around and I think he missed a pretty big hole that I saw before that *** chewing he got

It was against Arizona, that was their night game so far

Yeah I missed that and I understand the frustration of leaving yards on the field, but Charbs looks awful this season and that makes me think it is something bigger.

I think that was in response to a taunting penalty. But yeah, he also makes bad decisions by not taking what’s given/ trying to turn everything into a big gainer.

As for Achane, I don’t know that Seattle is a good fit for him fantasy-wise. They simply haven’t been throwing the ball to their RBs, which is Achane’s bread and butter. But maybe that’s because they think KWIII and Charbs suck in the passing game and that’s part of why they want Achane?

That’s a terrible trade .. I better get a boatload of picks to start over if I’m dealing Achane. He’s going to be a stud in this league for the next 3-5 years .. He’s in that CMC, Bijan, Saquon, and Gibbs class.
