RB Deneric Prince (1 Viewer)

(Rotowire) The Chiefs elevated Prince to their active roster Saturday.
Analysis: The rookie running back's elevation likely comes in response to Jerick McKinnon (groin) being ruled out for Sunday night's affair. Prince has yet to appear in an NFL game, but he's been with Kansas City's practice squad since the end of August. He'll more than likely back up Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the Chiefs' Week 13 outing.

That’s from 6 days ago?

Count me in. Could be a multi-week absence for Pacheco, and if CEH gets sidelined at any point there could be an opportunity.

I have my doubts.
Chiefs had an old third down back last forever and nailed Pacheco pick but I feel like there's been a dozen that didn't pan out and this guy wasn't much last year

You should have doubts. OTOH we’re talking about a guy who can be plucked off FA heap who may become a surprise RB2 on a dynamic offense, behind a violent running RB1 with some injury history.

FWIW, I don’t think of Prince as a 3rd down guy. Has size/speed similar to Pacheco at 6’/216/4th fastest RB 40 at 2023 combine. Bigger/stronger/much faster than CEH.
