With this guy, much like my TE position, you can only hope for the TD and count that as a win.God help me. Need to start him at RB2 tonight with Kerryon looking like another no-go and now Duke Johnson showing up on injury report. Can't risk both of them being inactive. Maybe he'll score another TD ..... but I'm guessing 8/17 or something equally facepunch-worthy.

Couldn't wait to start him was what I meant! Seriously, is this real life?Forced to start him as well with the Crowell news.![]()
bum? Are we watching the same game? Can't believe I have a great team single handedly being destroyed by this bum.
Short bench TD heavy team...dropped him last week for Ware.on my bench...
Didn't we expect big things this year? The big run was great. Where has he been all year? He had 6 carries in the first half.Henry has the potential to be the biggest bargain in FF next year whether with the Titans or if they decide to move him.
Because he comes out on passing downs? Isn't it hard to muster a great year being a 2 down back most of the time? Or not playing on a series when they know they will be passing? Why has he never been given the opportunity to become the bellcow back?
Why does he come out on passing downs? Can he not block or is he a bad pass catcher?because he comes out on passing downs?
He's not much of a receiving RB and they have a good one in Lewis. Why does he come out on passing downs? Can he not block or is he a bad pass catcher?
Has he ever been given the chance to become a receiving RB and just failed at it or what? He's not much of a receiving RB and they have a good one in Lewis.
If memory serves he wasn't used that way at Alabama either.Has he ever been given the chance to become a receiving RB and just failed at it or what?
That isn't because of lack of ability in the passing game. Henry is a very good receiving back as well. The big knock on him has always been that he's built like a brick ####house and plays a third down scat back. Dude thinks he's Dave Meggett.because he comes out on passing downs? I don't recall him ever having ability in the passing game, in the NFL or college. He had 17 receptions in 3 years at Alabama and it's carried over to the NFL as well. To his credit he did have a high YPC when he did catch the ball in college. That isn't because of lack of ability in the passing game. Henry is a very good receiving back as well. I traded a (now late) 1 for him earlier this year in a dynasty league, and despite the lackluster year (until tonight), I'm still ok w/ that.Derrick Henry going 99 yards while stiff-arming people into the sun weeks after everyone who drafted him cut him, traded him or vowed never to start him again is the most Derrick Henry thing ever.
Henry has been the backup. Not much more else needs to be said.Didn't we expect big things this year? The big run was great. Where has he been all year? He had 6 carries in the first half.
Henry is a better receiver than he's given credit for.Are there any successful fantasy RB's who are two down backs or is that rare?
He catches 76.5% of his passes for 8.2 y/c. And he's probably better than that (80% this year and 86.7% as a rookie last year was way down at 64.7%).I don't recall him ever having ability in the passing game, in the NFL or college.
What about people saying he is a two down back, does that matter in FF?Henry has been the backup. Not much more else needs to be said.
It's about being patient if you own Henry. If the Titans don't want to use him as their feature back, somebody else will.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.Derrick Henry going 99 yards while stiff-arming people into the sun weeks after everyone who drafted him cut him, traded him or vowed never to start him again is the most Derrick Henry thing ever.
Absolutely. He catches 76.5% of his passes for 8.2 y/c. And he's probably better than that (80% this year and 86.7% as a rookie last year was way down at 64.7%).
Dion catches 81.6% for 7.7 a pop.
Le'Veon, arguably the best in the biz, has a career 78.6% for 8.5 y/c.
Gurley is @ 74.3% for an insane 11.5 y/c over the last two seasons.
Henry easily has three down ability.
You'll hate it more when tonight's performance convinces you to start him next week and he has 12 carries for 23 yards.I hate that feeling
heh, yea. You'll hate it more when tonight's performance convinces you to start him next week and he has 12 carries for 23 yards.
Signed,
A longtime Henry owner
None of that matters if they never utilize him in the passing game. He won't be a FA until 2020 and by that time he will be 27. Big backs usually don't age well.He catches 76.5% of his passes for 8.2 y/c. And he's probably better than that (80% this year and 86.7% as a rookie last year was way down at 64.7%).
