This is the week teams bail on him though. Terrible matchup this week and a bye next week. If they want out, the time is now.

Tried to tell his owner that. Guys are stubborn with players like this. They’d rather lose than help another owner down the line.
I can afford to wait on Henry. He can’t. It’s a weird mentality.

In one league, the owner of Henry is the classic always make a trade offer of two mediocre guys for your best guy.
And he's declining everything in sight on Henry.
What's their record?
I think anyone who can afford to hold on Henry should; after his bye I'm expecting him to be a set-and-forget RB1.
If someone needs wins immediately (e.g. 0-5 or 1-4) then selling would be reasonable. I still wouldn't want to give him away though. To play devil's advocate on your Pickens/Chubb offer, Chubb is on BYE this week / ranked outside top 40 RBs by ECR. Pickens had 4 targets and 2 catches last week (albeit one was a long TD) and has CD returning as early as next week. If I were selling I'd want a better package.
That said, someone earlier in the thread said they declined sending Pickens 1:1 for Henry (as they needed wins now) so maybe they are just stubborn!

Not being stubborn. While I agree with you that post bye, Henry should have upside I don't think there's as much upside as Pickens has with Dak throwing the hell out of the ball.
Owner who is declining everything is 1-4. Needs a win. And Henry is on his bench right now (and they has a bye next week). So two weeks of nothing from Henry for him.

To clarify I offered that before last week after Pickens’ blowup game. But also before Chubb having a mini-breakout and holding off Marks.
I get why he didn’t take it. I’m not chapped about it or anything.

I offered a first round pick. Doubt it will be taken. 32 team league, I’m currently a top 8 team though. So that’s a hard no league to trade in.

I think this is a fair trade (albeit not buying low on Henry), and slightly prefer Henry over Jacobs (although I'm a Vikings fan and bet consensus rankings would be Jacobs > Henry) and Wilson over Deebo (I think that's probably consensus, but wouldn't fault someone for fading the Jets).
*edit*: I didn't realize how much passing work Josh Jacobs has been getting recently. I still think the trade is fair, but (especially with his bye past) probably need to amend Jacobs > Henry (although, having Henry on my roster, would love to be wrong).

Agree, if I could somehow flip Henry for Jacobs right now, I would be over the moon
That owner would have to be on crack to do that deal.

I traded him straight up for AJ Brown in a PPR league after losing Nabers.

Of course. Jacobs has been rock solid on a good offense with a good to great defense and likely good game scripts.
I get the ask but I’m not paying 2024 Henry prices and that’s the ask. Oh well.

I was talking about my leagues and talking with friends/others about Henry and trades in general
no one had any talk of a Henry trade. A couple of friends have him and people trying to buy low but
they have not liked anything so far

And the hidden (or not so hidden) bonus that your RB1 doesn’t have a bye week at all.
Not on crack, but I'm on the other side of this. I actually think Garrett Wilson is the best player in the deal. He's WR5 right now, and he's got more targets than everyone except Puka and Olave. He's got no competition for targets and oodles of garbage time to compile. I feel like people are just undervaluing him because Jets, but he's basically been interchangeable with JSN.
I also think Deebo is on a McLaurin's missing based heater. I think he's BY FAR the worst player in this deal.
I think when Lamar is back, Henry and Jacobs are probably equals. Obviously, that doesn't help in week 6 or 7. Maybe this is a deal to revisit in a week?

Yeah. Wilson had no appeal to me. I have trouble wrapping my head around that dynamic and expecting the production to continue.
It’s tough to count on 10+ point 4th quarters every week.

Probably not just based on the ages of the players… But, banking on the Jets getting this QB situation fixed?
As @travdogg said though Wilson is top 5 in this situation. I watched Mike Evans overcome bad QB and bad game script for years. Maybe Wilson can too.

I'm not expecting much from him this week. Rams defense (who've played CMC, JT and Saquon) have allowed the fewest rushing TDs and third fewest yards/rush.
If he doesn't run over Chicago and Miami out of the bye then I'm panicking...

Have been debating trading for him, but seeing tonight he's kind of washed. I mean, on the other hand, he could have had 3 goal line TD's, tonight seemed like a fix Lamar's boo boo face night.
But until they were beat down, he was sitting at 11-41-0 through 3 quarters.
His game though is those wear you down yards but I think it was less the dolphins getting worn down as opposed to giving up.
Great schedule though.

Miami sold out to stop him and met him in the backfield with regularity, yet they paid for it on PA with guys running wide open all over the field for TDs.
Still over 120 yds so it ended up productive but lacking a TD to take it over the top.

Honestly, I don't see any reason to call Henry's number at the GL. Fake it to him, and 80% of the defense flies into him, its easy for Lamar to just flip it to a TE, or when he's feeling more confident, run it in himself.
ETA: Henry will still be a no-brainer every week start, but I think anyone expecting a return to 2024 Henry, much like with Barkley, is just asking to be disappointed.

Henry does that to a lot of teams (gashes them in the 4th quarter).

I mean that was a 36 yard run, Kamara hasn't done that in years, McCaff hasn't done that all year (dont think he's broken 24 yards)
But this dolphin D is atrocious, I would have thought tonight was an easy 150 yard night without trying, although, short week

Yeah, I think everybody thought he might have a monster game, but that's the NFL for you. Plus, Lamar isn't going to throw 4 TDs every game.
Henry will get his share of TDs down the stretch.

He definitely doesn't look the same this year; but ultimately he doesn't need to. Ravens might have the easiest schedule down the stretch I've seen in a while. Steelers x2, Bengals x2, Vikings, and Jets? All six of those games could be over early in the third quarter and wind up looking just like this week; Henry getting volume against a tired def that's about give up on the season let alone the game. Feels like an easy flag plant to put him as an RB1 over the second half of the fantasy season. Especially considering all the other RBs underperforming and injured. Taylor, Bijan, CMC, Cook, and Gibbs. After those 5 who do you really love that much more than Henry considering now Lamar is back and looking at their opponents? He doesn't need to be Henry from previous years to still give you a leg up against whatever scraps your opponents are starting in fantasy at RB.

I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same game as others. Apparently he's supposed to truck 3 or more meeting him at the LOS on every carry or he's washed. The run blocking was atrocious in the first half, and Ricard whiffed on a number of blocks, including at the goaline. Baltimore was feasting off of PA since Miami was intent on stacking the box to stop Henry and lose through the air instead. Teams can keep doing that and Lamar will keep smiling and say thank you.
Henry hit 20.86 mph on his run, not bad for a washed up back.
Eventually if you keep saying he's washed year after year or week after week he will be and many will then claim, see I was right.

I thought he looked just fine as well. Could have just as easily been a 1-2 TD day with different play calls.
I mentioned it in the game thread last night, but the one thing that bothered me was he does this thing where he jumps when he’s about to get tackled. A) just seems like you’d have more leverage as a big body to just lower the boom into a guy B) it kept making me nervous he'd get tackled awkwardly because of it.
Maybe he’s always done it and I’ve never noticed.

True but its also evaluated against what other runners did against Miami this year.
Though they did hold Bijan in check, so maybe they're getting it together

I'm in the "he doesn't look fine" camp...which irritates me as he's my RB1 in the subscribers contest.
He looks slow and disinterested. I'll be happy to eat crow if he shows anything useful in the next few weeks.

He is a locomotive. Takes a little bit to get started but once he does not many DB's want to get smashed trying to tackle him.
Problem with goal line and short yardage is D stacks the box and Ravens blocking is weak. Hope this is due to injuries. I think better days ahead.
