RB Devonta Freeman, BAL (1 Viewer)

Yes!!! What a beast!!! Three straight huge games, solidifies #1 overall running back position. That pass completion td reversal is such a stupid rule/ruling.

He's hot garbage. He's slow. He's not explosive. He's small. I have no idea why he's even in the NFL. I'll take how he's performed the rest of his short career against this one game and say that is more indicative of his skill set.
Going to have to ignore pretty much all of your fantasy posts at this point. It was already bad outside of this thread.

I'm sold now. Huge game against a tough defensive front... plenty of usage. Catching passes in a fantastic offense...

PPR stud.

I'm going to try to buy Coleman for insurance now.

I don't know if he is the real deal. I've seen a lot of flash in the pans over the years but he certainly appears to be the next great find at rb and the real deal.

His impact feels like when foster arrived on the scene. So many points in every facet of the game, just carrying fantasy teams.

It's funny how this game changes so quickly

I'll put a stop to this and derail the Beast.....Done, just started him in a $1 DFS for next week.

Come onnnnnn Kryptonite.

Lol now the WAS run defense isn't good? Funny how every team gets worse after ATL beats them.
Im not even going to argue. Just go look at their schedule and look at the teams they played. None of them had a running game at that time and miami still doesn't. Their run defensive stats were over inflated. Their defense has always been bad.

This is correct. Their run D had yet to even be tested by a legit running game. That takes away nothing from Freeman.

I'm fine witt admitting Washington might not be as good as their numbers. They do have some good players up front though...

And Freeman is a stud either way catching passes like he does.

This thread is laughable. There is such a thing as overreaction and underreaction. 4 double digit ff point weeks in a row is a lifetime in fantasy. He's solid. Wouldn't go out of my way to trade him but I would trade him if offered an insane deal which won't happen. So many players come out of nowhere every year and there are always people hating and late to board the train.

Are there really people hating on this kid? He's absolutely tire through the nfl. A complete monster. I don't know if there is another Rb I'd rather have moving forward. Maybe AP. But freeman is having a season for the ages. He's on a better offense than AP. And he's more in vied in the passing game. He's an elite rb1. I'd rather have him over lacy, forte...

He's shifty as hell. I'm a Falcons fan and watch every play. Dude runs like a bat out of hell and has GREAT hands for a RB. Go back and watch the td in the 4th that they overturned. That would've been a great play for a WR to make. He's legit.

I do think Coleman can produce behind this OL. But why change what's working?

He dishes out punishment like Lynch and he also reminds me a bit of Brian Westbrook with his ability to catch the ball.

More like a mix between Jim Brown, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders IMO.

With Emmitt Smith's nose for the endzone.

Devonta is 2nd in the NFL with 405 Rush Yds, Matt Forte leads the NFL with 438 Rush Yds.

Devonta has the most Rush TD's with 8, and it's not even closespear! Jeremy Hill is 2nd in the NFL with 5 Rush TD's, and Free has double amount of Rush TD's as the 3rd place guy.

Devonta leads the NFL with 26 1st down runs.

Devonta has the most Rec Yds of any RB in the NFL with 240 Yds.

*This is all the more impressive when you take in account the fact that Devonta didn't become the starting RB until week 3.

Happens every time a guy comes out of nowhere. Get used to it. Foster ripped the league a new one for an entire year and yet there will still people out there the next year saying he was a 2nd rate guy and Ben Tate was the guy to own.

I predict a sharp decline.
Starting when?
Minutes after it happens.
That was tongue in cheek due to the way the conversation on the board was going and the fact I was playing him for the 4th straight week.

With that being said, since three of those 4 weeks have been absolute killers on my teams, I now am prepared to play dirty.

I invoke the FF spirits to call on the curse of Marion Barber III. Freeman will now be MB III, that guy that looks all-world but it doesn't last and all his owners are forever more destined to cling to him forever as they remember the good old days, wasting a precious roster spot in the process.

You've been warned, people. Nothing but pain and suffering is headed your way if you keep Freeman from here on out.

and Iron Man...

I'm bitter because I've played against in the last two weeks in my hometown redraft and dynasty leagues and he kicked my ###.

34 touches for Devonta vs 2 touches for Coleman.

Yeah, watch out for Coleman when he returns!$!@! :lmao:
You mean when freeman gets blown up trying to run over guys 40 pds heavier than him. Only a matter of time...dude is getting hit.

Product of the system but hey...maybe he'll make it to the fantasy playoffs.

Boy was I wrong about this guy. To all of the haters in here trying to slow the train down. STOP!!! I don't own him anywhere but can appreciate the excitement when a propsect blows the top off the pot!!!! Freeman owners EAT and get FAT!!! I face this guy next week and hope he doesn't rip me apart. But boy, this is what makes fantasy football fun!
