Think it was a knee and said Questionable to return which didn’t happenPositives! 6 Yards a Carry
Negatives... Outtouched by Coleman.
TV Crew showed him limping around on the sideline on the last drive where they were trying to come back, but my volume was off, so couldn’t hear what they said.
That & an $1.50 will get ya a cup of coffee to drink while you wait for the MRI resukts. He said after the game that he was fine, for what that's worth.
Pretty clear that he is completely out of his league as an NFL Coordinator.Nice use of your 8 million dollar back Sarkisian. 6 damn carries, aaannnddd.....his back up gets more touches. How long are they going to let this clown have a job.
Four shots from the 2 yard line and no appearance by Julio should have him fired today.Pretty clear that he is completely out of his league as an NFL Coordinator.
Didn't exactly cover himself in glory when he took the OC reins after Bama dismissed KiffinAndy Dufresne said:Pretty clear that he is completely out of his league as an NFL Coordinator.
same. I was hoping he would get a TD but I knew it was a long shot there too. I really wanted to bench him but I couldn't, the high draft pick made me start him.I expected this type of performance in this game; road, elite defense, Thursday night, opener, etc. Obviously not encouraging results. I own both backs and I'll repeat what I said last season; with Sark, my only shot at rb1 numbers is if one of them goes to IR. Just barely enough rb volume to support one, forget about two backs.
With Bell on the shelf, I would have had to sit Freeman for Lewis, so I took the plunge with you. I hate owning freeman/coleman but can't seem to trade them. Good lucksame. He's fineAny news on Freeman’s knee?
What I said yesterday. He doesn't get a limited in today at least, he's out.The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter reports Devonta Freeman (knee) is not expected to play Week 2 against the Panthers.
Ledbetter expects rookie Ito Smith to be Tevin Coleman's backup. Freeman hasn't practiced at all this week after injuring his knee in last Thursday night's opener against Philly. It's not believed to be serious, but it's obviously enough to potentially cost him games. Coleman will be an upside RB2 play.
Devonta Freeman (knee) is out for Week 2 against the Panthers.
As expected. Tevin Coleman will start with rookie Ito Smith backing him up. Coleman has played in three games without Freeman since 2015 (when the Falcons drafted him) and averaged 19-83.3-1 and 15.1 fantasy points in those outings. Typically a boom/bust player on limited touches, Coleman now headlines the week as a top-shelf RB2 across all formats.
Nothing to see here folks, but 10 days off between games and he's not even close to practicing. I'm sure it's nothing.Head coach Dan Quinn said there is nothing structurally wrong with Freeman's knee and hopes it is not a long-term injury.
Devonta Freeman - RB - Falcons
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Devonta Freeman (knee) is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
Freeman was ruled out for Sunday, but he's going to miss at least another week. The silver lining is Freeman only has a contusion and isn't dealing with structural damage. Tevin Coleman will start until Freeman returns, with Ito Smith playing a short-yardage role. Freeman has knee issues dating back to last year, so this has potential to be a lingering concern.

Devonta Freeman - RB - Falcons
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports Devonta Freeman (knee) will be part of a three-back committee this week.
The Falcons are going to ease Freeman in after sitting the last three games. He's expected to split carries with Tevin Coleman, with Ito Smith also remaining involved. Freeman has a favorable matchup against the Steelers, but his workload is a concern. He's a risky RB2 in his first game back.

Sadly, this was before Ito made his presence felt. This has definitely turned to worst case scenario; three headed rbbc where no looks exceptional doing anything specific so even if you nail the gamescript you still don't know what to do.I expected this type of performance in this game; road, elite defense, Thursday night, opener, etc. Obviously not encouraging results. I own both backs and I'll repeat what I said last season; with Sark, my only shot at rb1 numbers is if one of them goes to IR. Just barely enough rb volume to support one, forget about two backs.
Its not really a 3-headed RBBC. Smith only saw the field after Freeman came out in the 4th quarter.Sadly, this was before Ito made his presence felt. Even if he does play, is it worth it? I grabbed him in the 3rd rnd hoping he'd bounce back, and yet he's only disappointed me. I can't even find someone to take him in a trade. First the knee and now the "bone contusion". Add in the fact that Coleman and Ito and in the mix, I think it's time to cut bait on this one.Same thing like last month. Freeman doesn't get a limited in today, he's out.
Doesn't matter really. He isn't going to do squat rest of the year anyway. Thanks for screwing me over freeman.Same thing like last month. Freeman doesn't get a limited in today, he's out.
These injuries he's picking up are nuts. What voodoo priestess did he piss off?Devonta Freeman (foot) remained sidelined on Thursday.
ESPN's Dan Graziano has reported Freeman's injury is not a "long-term" issue, but he is very much looking doubtful for Week 6. The Falcons would immediately return to their 70-30 Tevin Coleman/Ito Smith committee if Freeman sits for a mouthwatering matchup with the Bucs.
He's smallish and has never shied away from contact. He's been taking a beating between the tackles for years and it might have just caught up to him. These injuries he's picking up are nuts. What voodoo priestess did he piss off?
Devonta Freeman (foot) is out for Week 6 against the Buccaneers.
Freeman and DT Grady Jarrett (ankle) were both ruled out, likely putting the Falcons' O in another fortuitous game script in which they'll have to outscore the Bucs in order to win. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Freeman is also dealing with a groin injury to go along with his ailing foot. Tevin Coleman will start and handle a majority of early-down work with fourth-round rookie Ito Smith soaking up snaps and red zone usage behind him. Consider Coleman a confident RB2 in this matchup.
Sometimes it's selling high to get rid of someone while you can.Might need to "sell low" on Freeman now. Can't justify a roster spot for a guy that sits more than he plays.
I'd take .75 on the dollar for him right now.
Doubt the James White owner would trade straight up for him but that's a deal I'd consider.
JJ's been having an off year himself. Without looking, I believe he's been on the decline with lack of TD's last year and less this year.Sometimes it's selling high to get rid of someone while you can.
I did several yahoo public leagues for fun--Have him in a huge number of those. Sent out fliers to just about every team in the league at the start of the week. Got Julio Jones in 1 league. Shocked!
Devonta Freeman - RB - Falcons
The Falcons expect Devonta Freeman (foot) to remain sidelined for Week 7.
The quick rule out suggests Freeman is not close to returning. It's officially a lost season for the 26-year-old back, who just signed a lucrative extension in August 2017. Tevin Coleman has been ineffective in Freeman's absence, but his workload keeps him in the RB2 mix. Perhaps Ito Smith will see more Week 7 run, though he also struggled against the Bucs.
