RB Doug Martin, Free Agent (1 Viewer)

Started him last week and will prob be the last time this year. Was wavering on putting him in this week with the QB change and thankful I did not.

had such high hopes... he's almost like Isiah Crowell.... is a starter, on a bad team, dont have any trust he'll do anything if you actually start him but there is a chance he scores a TD and puts up a decent day (crowell's had 2 in a row)

I'm convinced D. Martin and A. Abdullah are related...

Am I alone in thinking about dropping him in redraft? Would easily rather have someone like Burkhead.
Nope.  I've been thinking the same thing.  His output is really disappointing, and having a short bench I can't afford to keep trotting out players who aren't performing to potential.  I'd rather find a sleeper and rotate each week if that's the case.

I ended up dropping him. I have no faith that the offense will correct itself this season. There's no faith in starting him. Just didn't want to regret it later and have someone scoop him up is all.

I'm not dropping him. Schedule is friendly and he did have those two good games when he came back. I like him for insurance since I've tried to trade him and no one is biting. Hopefully this is a case of Glad I Didn't.

I just watched CAR run all over Miami.

There is no way...I repeat...no way...I am NOT starting Martin this week.
Miami has given up. I'm starting Martin again.  I can understand benching Martin cause he has sucked for multiple weeks in a row but he's still getting 15 to 20 touches a week.  That alone is worthy of being on your bench

If Martin gets 20 carries against Miami, good things SHOULD happen.

I mean...for the love of god...Cam and C.A.P both were approaching 100 yards not to mention Stewart and CMC.

I have no choice this week with Freeman's concussion.  Everytime I'm ready to send him away, Martin finds a way to hang around another week.   :wall:

Man. Tough to drop any running back getting 20 carries a week. Wow.

Their next opponent just gave up 250 yards rushing or something.

Before last night, Jonathan Stewart was averaging 2.9 YPC. Last night he put up 110 yards on 6.5 YPC.

If Martin can't do 75% of that vs. Miami, he's toast.

I think Gase has lost his team in Miami is the best explain of last night.

Right now I have Martin in over Mixon. Probably going to drop ASJ & add a RB tonight. If I get Burkhead I'll roll with him versus Oakland.

Yeah, I saw that. I still don't regret it. The TB offense has not shown any signs of life. Even if he does have 1 good game the rest of the way, I wouldn't have the confidence to start him. I've been starting Orleans Darkwa over him and would continue to do so if I had to choose 1 of the 2.

Martin or l. Murray this week?
Murray might fall into the end zone.

I kind of don't like any of my RBs.

  • Bell - OK, you're not really allowed to complain given the volume, but 3.8 YPC and 5 TDs is below what I was hoping for; plus I still haven't handcuffed him.
  • Mixon - along with Abdullah (who seems on the rise but his owners are probably too frustrated to notice), disappointing RB2. Bad O-line play in both cases.
  • Martin - the film don't lie. He's still the same guy. But it's a bad offense and a bad team. May start him this week.
  • Collins - I don't actually want to look up how much FAAB I've spent adding him or how many times I dropped him....I think this is the third time. Not really a genius move in full PPR. But man, everytime I watch him run.    Considering him for this week because i like the matchup.
  • L. Murray - bid a good amount for him, obviously should have taken McKinnon. Dropped him during bye weeks, yet he still sees RB2ish usage. Meh. Looks unimpressive. But volume...
  • D. Williams - Drake got a good sized bid after the Ajayi trade, this guy is still sitting there. FBGs Top 200 says I should drop Martin & Collins, add Murray & Williams (it's kinda sorta close and none of the four should be in the lineup most weeks.) But like most services, they also have Mixon RB12-RB15 RoS, and I'm just not seeing it.

I snagged Jamal Williams off the WW last night, but I cannot bring myself to put him in over Martin or Ameer Abdullah for that matter. It's Martin or bust for me here on out.

I made the worst trade of my life a few weeks back to get Martin, now he's stuck behind Drake on my bench, live and learn.

Team in our short bench lg just dropped Morris to cover a QB bye-week.  I have a WW claim in to grab Morris and dump Martin.  Hoping this goes through and I can move on.  Even with their oline woes, Morris is a better option than Martin in my eyes.  Heck, I was thinking of dropping Martin for JWilliams this morning.

Eh, think I'm sitting him on the pine for Robert Woods at Flex in Std.  Think Watkins is shadowed by Rhodes and Woods cashes in again.  Sadly, Muscle Hampster is a good RB stuck on a terrible team.

i was going to roll with martin.  then i decided i couldn't do it, not even against Miami.  so i traded for lynch lol.

Was able to grab Rex off waivers, starting him over Doug in ppr.
Don't think they'll need him this week. Burkhead was critical to beating Denver in that they are vulnerable over the middle and tougher on the perimeter.

OAK's D is just bad all over. I'm betting Brady kills them with Gronk and Cooks actually have huge games. No need to tinker around on the fringes this week.

Maybe, I don't think I can put up with another game of Doug running into a wall and having no receptions and finish the game with 5 points or fewer. TB is awful and Doug sucks in ppr.

been stating drake over him the last couple weeks.   I'm sticking with that.

As others have said its unfortunate Tampa is such a dumpster fire, looked so promising that first game out.
